SO I fell into a pattern on my NYC to California trip. I stopped at a fair number of Love's Truck…read moreStops. Why? They usually had easy on and off to the freeway, they almost always had good gas prices for the area, the bathrooms were clean to spotless, the area between the pumps was nice as I had a moving van, and the long handles made cleaning the windshield easy. This Love's is in Hazen, Arkansas and was #3 on my trip. I don't know what to say but I felt an odd vibe when I entered that state and this was my one and only stop thankfully. My vibes aside, the staff was friendly, and the store, grounds and bathrooms were spotlessly clean. Plenty of room at the pumps, good prices, and window washer fluid that was more than just scummy water was a nice plus.

I had no problem with the extra long squeegee to get the top of the windshield on the Sprinter van. Fuel flowed quickly and with the 10 cent discount for scanning my Love's app, this was some of the cheapest fuel along this journey. Men's room was tidy and clean. "Green" button when I walked out. Mrs. K. said that the ladies room was also in good condition. Lots of options for salty and sweet snacks. We found some nuts and some jerky and a small cup of grapes. All good! The coffee station was really nice, regular, Texas pecan, decaf, triple caff and some others. Also fresh coffee even though it was after 10, coffee was good and not bitter at all. They had lots of flavored creamers, various sweeteners, stuff to sprinkle in for flavor, various sized cups and also a cappuccino machine. They also had fresh baked goods, we bought cookies which were really good. They also had fresh donuts and crullers. Lots of normal convenience store stuff but best of all they had really friendly staff who went out of their way to make conversation and make sure you were finding everything you needed.
