The Director, Natally, has put her heart, blood, sweat and tears into creating an environment where not only her son but other children can receive the therapy(ies) they may need to thrive in this world. I am so fortune for this preschool, as I was at a loss for where my little one could go, and receive developmental support. I don't have to worry about how she is being cared and looked after throughout her day, and all it took was one morning watching Natally do everything in her power to make sure my child "would be happy there". Even before that I could tell she was in good hands, but definitely from that day I never regretted my choice in Willowcrest. If you aren't sure if I'm selling you a dream, just contact the school and take a tour... it will never hurt you, and you will see in the first mins that everything I'm saying is 100% true!!! At that time she was attending a small public school in West Hollywood in a class of 36 children with no teachers assistants. She was completely lost in all subjects, which also led to low self esteem. She was limited to 45 minutes of resources per day, which was really the only help/ teaching she received, the rest of the days were a loss. Through a friend, we were referred to Summit View West. I scheduled an appointment to take a tour of the school (four years ago)and brought my daughter along. That day, my daughter made her decision...she said, "this is the school that I need. I don't want any other school but here! Do what you have to do to get me into this school!"....and I did. Today, my daughter will be entering her third year at Summit View West, and every day that goes by we feel blessed that we are part of this amazing school. Since my daughter started, she has only become more confident in all subjects, and she embraces learning new concepts. The teachers make sure all students are on the same page and, with an understanding of the material before they move on. The administration is always welcoming and hypersensitive to any concerns a parent or student might have. The school is a loving community that looks out of one another. I feel that if anyone leaves a negative yelp comment about Summit View West, it is only out of frustration of not having their child funded by their school's district, or the Help Group does not think the school is the right fit for the child in question. The administration is highly educated, qualified and familiar with making the right decisions that would best fit the students needs.

She "gets" my son. She takes the time to listen and has been a huge advocate for him. His school counselor is really amazing. Where do I start? My son (4 at the time) would not interact with us very much, would speak less…read morethan 20 words, and had several violent outbursts when we tried to change any activity or if his iPad would "die". When Big Solutions came into our lives we were hesitant because these were strangers who were going to socialize with our son and as parents we were scared of negative outcomes. Julian's journey began with his initial assessment and eventually to in home therapy. He was assigned 3 therapists including 1 supervisor. They (Ari, Claudia, Joy, & Paulina) are blessings!!! They connected with Julian but also became our teachers! They helped all of us with Julian's needs and how to understand what he was seeking, whether it be physical or emotional. As a parent with a child with autism, sometimes it's too easy to become frustrated and lose hope in any progress they may not meet. An example was my son's eloping. His father and I had no clue how to predict it or manage it. We would all take excursions to our local mall and his therapists were there with us the entire time. We learned to predict when he would run off, and why. He was seeking attention and sometimes just over stimulation so we learned to ask him to use verbal and non verbal cues of where he wants to go. Fast forward to three weeks ago while visiting an outlet shopping center (yes we wore masks) and we practiced all of those steps and he didn't elope! Had it not been for Big Solutions I would not see us going out with much ease as we have been. This is an agency that turned our life around and became part of our family while maintaining their professionalism. Big Solutions ENTIRE staff, from scheduling to in home, were amazing and extremely accommodating. They consistently helped Julian with communicating in various ways and adjusting to unexpected changes that happened every day. Big Solutions also helped us as parents in not give up and letting frustration and fear run our lives. They taught us so much and how to cope with unexpected outbursts and helping our son focus on his school. We were definitely lost in the ASD world and Big Solutions led us to a place where consistency, patience, and goals were good starting points for any situation. Thank you Big Solutions!

I came here without much expectations seeing as how a friend merely referred it to me as a "decent" after school but I have to admit, I was impressed. Pros: Compared to other after schools, this place is HUGEEE. Might I say, I mean, really, there's plenty of rooms and a gargantuan playground for the kids to play at. It's so big that not all the rooms are in use at the moment but hey, they means it's only bound to get bigger right? They also have a pretty decent selection of meals planned out for the kids covering Asian fried rice to American Pizza Bites. The material covered at Leader's Academy focuses on the areas that your child may need so you could say that each and every kid has a special folder that is designed for them. It's not your cookie cutter workbook which generalizes each and every student under a standardized learning. Cons: Because they don't specifically have enough numbers of each grade to have their own grade classes, most of the classes are mixed. It's not where one class will be all 3rd grade or another all 5th grade. Instead the classes are divided into blocks. For example, PreKinder and Kinder would be placed together. 1st and 2nd grade would be put together. And so on and so forth. Because of this you could say that the kids are placed with older/younger kids compared to them which may or may not be beneficial in the parents' eyes.
