For decades we'd tried to get someone to drill a well on our property to replace our 100 year-old shallow dug well. Everyone said there was no way to get a rig onto our steeply-sloped lakefront lot. Finally, E Garrity rose to the challenge and arranged to bring in the equipment by barge. Permitting and planning took some months, but once the work started it was done in four days, only one of which was drilling. Garrity staff were professional and courteous throughout the entire process, and we are overjoyed to have clean water at last. read more

I had a water heater issue and Jermey came to the rescue! He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and polite. Would highly recommend!

I rarely leave negative reviews, and what makes this especially disappointing is that I once gave E. Garrity a 5-star review. At the time, I trusted the company and continued using them for several years after purchasing my home. Over time, however, I began to question the pricing of the services I was receiving. Recently, I hired another professional who reviewed my system and informed me that I had been paying for "water softening" services despite not having a water softening system installed. That discovery caused me to take a much closer look at the services and costs I had been paying for over the years. My most recent interaction was the final straw. I called simply to ask about the cost of replacing the UV filter bulb and replenishing the calcite/neutralizer media. Rather than receiving a straightforward answer, the representative repeatedly spoke to me in a condescending manner, saying, "Let me explain your service and how we work." I was not asking how the company operates. I was trying to determine what the total cost would be and what I had paid previously, since I did not have my old invoice in front of me. Despite asking several times, I never received a clear answer regarding my prior charges or what my expected total cost would be. Instead, I was repeatedly told that the bulb cost over $200 plus additional service charges. When I eventually stated that I would probably use another company, the response I received was simply, "That's fine." Customer service matters. Transparency matters. Respectful communication matters. Unfortunately, based on my experiences over the last several years, I can no longer recommend this company. While they may have provided excellent service in the past, my experience has been one of inflated costs, poor communication, and a lack of transparency. When friends, neighbors, or new homeowners ask me about water treatment companies, I can only honestly share the experiences that ultimately led me to find another provider. read more

I called Evan at E. Garrity Water Solutions recently following an issue at my home this past weekend. The part needed was not a standard size, and I was having trouble finding a replacement. He not only had the part in stock, but sent two of his technicians, Jaisun and Yama, to my home promptly. They quickly removed the old part, and they installed the new one relatively quickly. It looks and works great! Both techs were very courteous and checked with me to verify I was happy with how it went. I am very happy with E. Garrity Water Solutions. read more

After Garrity refused to repair the (very) expensive damage they negligently caused to the heating element in the water pipe providing water to my home, I had to sue. Don't trust them. Don't hire them. Don't go near them. If you think they are the gold standard, as I did, just ask other professionals in the same business. Beware, stay away from them. read more

E. Garrity Water Solutions has been servicing the well water at our house in Greenwich for eight years. They have done an excellent job and I would highly recommend them. They are very professional, conscientious and responsive. They have never met a problem that they could not solve. They have always gone out of their way to accommodate my schedule, show up on time and be here in emergencies. Cody is an absolute pleasure to work with and is an expert in his field. C.J. is another great technician who regularly services our water and is a pleasure to work with. Evan has even taken time out of his busy day to show up when needed. All of their technicians spend the time to explain the work, give reasonable quotes and stand behind their work. I could not be happier with the quality of our water or the quality of their work. As an environmental lawyer who dealt with many problematical water issues in my career, that's saying a lot! read more

This company serviced my well and radon removal system for more than 10 years. An inspection co. hired them to test my well. According to 2 experts, they did an incorrect test on my well and made false claims regarding its immediate viability (wrongly told a prospective buyer the well was dry). A real test by an expert showed the well is in great shape with 60+ years capacity. When confronted, this company's owner said he has 100,000 customers and he doesn't give a "sh!/" about my property. read more

The techs need additional training. We ended up with a leak in our system due to their error during a routine annual maintenance of the system. We had to hire a contractor to remove sheetrock and replace a beam due to the water damage. We gave them another chance and there was another leak due to how they installed the Reverse Osmosis System. They didn't charge me for the service but had the nerve to drop me as a customer because I expressed my unhappiness with their technicians. It was fine because I was not planning on using them ever again but they should have handled it differently. I would not refer them. If anyone knows of a great water company in CT, please let me know! read more

This company does not stand by there work, nor do they have the professionalism to reach out to the homeowner to discuss resolutions to the damages there technician made and they do not have the courage to tell you they aren't coming after confirming appointments. If they damage your well, do not expect them to make good their damages. VERY BAD BUSINESS MODEL.. DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.. read more

I signed a contract in April 2020 to dig a new well as a condition of sale with buyers on a house we were selling. Obviously, Covid was a difficult time with lots of interrupted supply chain issues. I was very understanding as the job dragged on through May, June, and August. (We had been told a few weeks) Then our buyers pulled out over the lack of progress on the well. In August 2020, Garrity stopped responding and abandoned the job. I reached several times out but never heard from them for 6 months. In March 2021, I finally contacted them to ask them to remove all the well equipment and tubing from our property. At that point, I got some very weird late-night text messages saying I was sad and rude. I spoke to their office manager and they did finally remove tubing. I thought it was over. But then yesterday, they just sent me a bill for the entire cost of the job they never completed and then abandoned. Clearly, I need to get a lawyer involved. Very disappointed. read more

They installed pipes that were not properly installed and do not return calls to remedy the situation.

We were new homeowners who never had used a well before. Evan came over to inspect the water and the well and took the time to very thoroughly explain how the well works and how to care for the well! They also keep up the maintenance schedule for us and call us when it's time for them to visit. One morning we woke up without water and Evan and Ken came over so quickly to resolve our issue! Would definitely recommend! (They even get bonus points for not being afraid of my German Shepherd who wouldn't stop barking at them). read more

The technicians replaced my well pump and I was impressed by the fact that they were courteous and professional. In addition, they also pointed out that my pipes were old and suggested that I also replace those old pipes. Two months later, I noticed a gurgling sound and a spot of water bubbling in my front lawn. I called the number and the person answering the phone just explained to me over the phone how to reset the timer on my water softener and the gurgling spot on my lawn was just the discharge from my water softener cleaning itself - a process I would not normally notice but the timer was out of whack. In case this review is TL, I was pleased with both the service provided during the replacement of my well pump and even more pleased later when I had a quick question - on a Sunday afternoon(!) which was answered patiently by whoever answered my distress call on a Sunday! read more

What a great company! Evan evaluated the well and water system in our new home and we went over the many much needed improvements to both. After arriving on time the hard working and courteous crew went to work on our water purification system and well. After putting in a long day in August Heat, everything was done above and beyond our satisfaction. Our water system has been improved and updated and Evan was an absolute pleasure to deal with. read more

NO-SHOW APPOINTMENT WITH COMPLETE INCONSIDERATION: I was looking for a company that could provide water treatment for my house. I called E Garrity and made an appointment for them to come to my house. They said the time would be from 1-3pm. So I re-arrange my whole work schedule and I wait until 3:15pm to call and ask if anyone is still coming so that I can finally stop waiting. I was put on hold and then their exact words were: "We seem to be running behind schedule due to the storm. Would you like to re-schedule?" Really!??? No courtesy phone call!? Not even an apology!?? IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT NEW CUSTOMERS!!?? Of coarse I did not re-schedule. A few minutes later they call me back and leave a voicemail asking me if they could come by later in the afternoon. Unbelievable!! I would have still given them a chance if they could have AT LEAST BEEN HONEST AND HAVE SAID "WE MADE A MISTAKE"!!! read more

I am thrilled with the work Garrity Water Solutions did at my home! I had no idea how damaging the high iron level had gotten in my home. I was quite tired of scrubbing orange and brown stains from all my appliances and sinks/toilets. It wasn't until I renovated a master bath in all white that I panicked and realized I needed a better water softener and some serious iron removal or magic! I called Evan Garrity and they literally saved me! They replaced my rusting holding tank and installed a new water softener with an iron filter. i never knew what soft water felt like on our skin or how good my water could taste! After 30 years in my home we were so used to hard water we didn't know how much better balanced water could be. THANK YOU so much Evan & Ethan; in one day you changed our lives for the better.
