A decent supermarket with quality goods. Not the cheapest but good when you're looking for something in particular.

Seit meiner Kindheit hat dieser Laden bestimmt an die zehn verschiedene Namen gehabt, alte Eidelstedter und Schnelsener nennen ihn wohl immer noch Hanse SB. Mir gefällt der neue Stil, wenn man sonst oft bei Aldi & Co einkauft, ist das hier schon ein ganz anderer Schnack. Sicher gibt es günstigere Läden, aber die Auswahl ist riesig, alles ist frisch und nett präsentiert, das Personal durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, und ich sehe dort teilweise die gleichen Gesichter, wie vor 15 oder mehr Jahren. Overall, I really like this supermarket. It has a large produce section and products from around the world. It carries hard to find items. There is usually a food demo in front, often with something tasty. The store is well organized, clean and well-lighted. Also in the E-Center are Toys-R-Us, a florist, a nail salon and Dallmeyer's, a delicious bakery with terrific Franzbrotchens. It truly is one-stop shopping at its best, for Hamburg. So why only 3 stars? I give the butcher department ZERO stars. The meat might be good quality, but the service is terrible. First, they are rude. Second, they do not follow through on commitments. I special ordered a turkey for Thanksgiving. It did not arrive on the specified delivery date, despite my going into the store earlier in the week to confirm. No effort was made to help me--oh, wait, they gave my daughter a weinerwurstchen as she was fussing. No calling other butchers, no finding out why the turkey wasn't delivered, no recommendations for another butcher, no coupon for something in exchange. Nothing, expect an "it's not here, sorry, nothing we can do, why don't you get a frozen turkey (because the dinner is tomorrow night and it takes 4 days to thaw a turkey in the freezer!)." I will not buy anything from this butcher again. Period. But I will return to the store for other shopping.
