My husband, our 9y.o. daughter and I just rode with E&H Guide Service for the first time. We flew to Denver and it was an easy drive to the ranch. I must say that after visiting 30+ countries and being on various guided tours, the beautiful Hecht Creek Ranch and the trail ride with Ed will definitely stand out as one of our absolute favorites!!!! Wow what a place to ride! I have taken multiple trips with my family and friends and this place is hard to beat. The laid back atmosphere and gorgeous scenery made our ride here the highlight of our trip. E&H tailored the ride to our specific needs (we had some riders with more experience and guts and some riders with less) and they gave us horses that matched our skill level and confidence. When we headed out along the foothills of the national forest, our guide let us walk trot lope or gallop based on how comfortable and ambitious some of us were feeling. My daughters and I had an exception experience. Ed was a great host, welcoming and helpful. We have very little experience riding. The horses were great, calm, well mannered, trained. Moxey and Gus were our guides. They were friendly, helpful, had great information about the land and the area we rode through. We felt safe and prepared for the ride. E & H guide service is only my second experience going on a trail ride. The first experience was very underwhelming. E & H was awesome to say the least. We were there on May 20 2019. The day left a little too be desired but riding into the foothills while it was snowing was so cool. At one point along the ride we got to see some Elk up on the mountain. In all this was an absolutely fantastic amazing experience. read more
