Ozark Ford

I will try to make this as short as I can…read more We live in Oklahoma and my boyfriend was working in AR at the time this happened. He travels for work as he is a lineman. Took our truck in for repairs as the engine would not turn over after the first cold spell that came through. It was an older, high mileage diesel, so yes it is obviously not in perfect condition. We understood that. Ozark said it was glow plugs, relays and injectors. Okay cool, so we pay $4775 to have all those replaced. Than over the phone we are told there is a bad cylinder in the engine, we said we do not have another $7-12k to replace the engine, the engine itself was running pretty good before taking it in. Upon pick up the truck is vehemently smoking out of the exhaust, yes it is a diesel so SOME smoking is expected. But this was a constant billowing, this was absolutely NOT HAPPENING before bringing it into to Ozark. Before the glow plugs and what not went out the truck started okay and was not smoking out of the exhaust this way. We were told there is a cylinder that is out of whack and its causing this to happen. As mentioned above we live in OK and when the truck died we were in the AR area and this was the only place that could work on the type of engine the truck had which was a 7.3 diesel. On the way home from getting the truck the engine severely overheated and we had to call AAA to have it towed the rest of the way to our home in OK, after getting home it would not even start so we could at least get it in the driveway. In no way could we get it back to AR. We already maxed out our credit card on the repairs and AAA only goes 100 mi so paying out of pocket for a 200 mile tow was not feasible. Since than we have tried MULTIPLE times to a get a hold of Anthony in the service dept to see if we can get any money back on this. We ended up having to take out another vehicle loan for a newer truck because of how stuck we were. My boyfriend needs a truck for work and he does not have time to go back and forth with this dealership(he works many days at a time and is not off until most businesses are closed.) Since than Anthony told us that he would see what he could do to help us out. This was right around Christmas time. Since than we have tried to call Ozark and find out whats going on and have been swept under the rug. It is bad enough to pick up a vehicle in worse shape than what it should have been, but to be completely ignored now in the hopes that we will go away is unacceptable. The service dept in general was ALWAYS difficult to get a hold of. When the truck was initially being worked on we would call every few days to see what was going on and were always told they would call us right back and never did. We aren't those annoying customers that call every day because we understand things take time and they had other vehicles ahead of ours. It was frustrating. We are beyond upset now and really frustrated because we cannot even be treated with enough respect to get a call back. We were literally told around new years that Anthony "was busy" and would call back. We have yet to get any kind of communication. That is a bit disgraceful and just a terrible way to do business. That is not how you treat customers, especially ones that spent almost $5000 in repairs.
