I told Ken what I wanted and he said he could turn our property into the envy of the neighborhood. I was skeptical at first. I needed flowers and shrubs. The side and rear of the house were just ugly dirt and gravel. I wanted a side patio of pavers and rear walkway to cover up the dirt and gravel on the sides of the house. A walkway from the rear walkway to the rear deck. There was a shed with a cement walkway that had to be removed. This was no small task. They tore down the shed and cement walkway and cleared out and leveled out the rear yard. They had to remove over 20 yards of dirt and rocks. They had to move a small tree from the middle of the yard to the corner. They planted new flowers and shrubs with existing ones put down new sod . Then install all the hardscape. It was quite a task. When it finally was finished I couldn't believe it was the same property. Now when buyers come to see the house the first thing they look at is the beautiful new yard. Ken and his crew at Artistic Bamboo did an incredible job. I would highly recommend them for all your needs. Thanks Ken

Although his plate was full, after hearing my sob story, he made time in his schedule to fit me in. Aside from aesthetics, my main needs were getting the back yard completely leveled, fully seeded, a dog area, and the drainage relocated. He knocked them all out of the park. Dave and his team were extremely professional. They came and worked like gangbusters for 4 days straight. Always on time and working all day. I was never wondering if and when they were going to show up like you do with other contractors. It was not cheap, but like most things in life, you get what you pay for. Zero aggravation and no excuses are priceless. He knew I was on a budget and did try to cut costs where he could. He expertly relocated some flowers and shrubs that made sense, which did help save some. Being the end of the season, he also utilized some left over plants/shrubs/flowers that he already had to use in my project. In the end, Dave came in and saved the day. He knocked out my project in 4 days with a full crew. There were no excuses or delays. The whole team was super professional. His knowledge of his craft was applied to my back yard and specific needs. They were all met and executed. As I did this project last fall, I have just recently reaped the benefits of his hard work this spring/summer and having seen most of everything in full bloom. I am very happy. Look no further. This is your guy if you want great communication, excellent execution and zero agita in your landscaping needs.

Our new house had been abandoned for 15 years before we purchased it - just piles of dirt everywhere. David helped make our house a home (and tons of compliments from our new neighbors). His team came in quickly and efficiently and did an amazing job with the front and side lawn of our house. David designed a beautiful landscape that highlighted the architecture of the house, and complimented the curves of the sidewalk. I had no idea what to expect and I was so happy with the results. He is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He also left us with instructions to keep our new habitat healthy and growing. He has been available for any and all follow up questions. We will definitely be using his team to get our new garden winter ready as well.

I've followed their work and have been consistently impressed by the level of detail, professionalism, and thoughtful design they bring to each project. Their backyard transformations, retaining walls, patios, and covered outdoor entertainment spaces reflect a true design-build approach. It's clear they consider grading, drainage, plantings, lighting, and structural integrity from the very beginning rather than treating each element separately. If you're a homeowner in Westfield, Summit, Short Hills or surrounding Union County towns looking for a landscape architecture firm that values craftsmanship and long-term planning, Harmony Design Group stands out in the New Jersey outdoor living space. Their portfolio speaks for itself, and their process-driven approach sets them apart from many landscape contractors in NJ. Highly recommend taking a look at their work if you're considering a custom patio, retaining wall, or full outdoor living project.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. Marc Nissim's work looks nice enough, but his lack of basic…read moreprofessionalism is unacceptable. In January, my wife called to discuss a plunge pool and landscaping project for the home we were buying. Marc said he could do the job and they talked over all the central details, including a price estimate and our closing date in February. We were excited--not least because, as she told Marc, she was very pregnant with our first child and looking to lock someone in before the baby came--and stopped looking for other vendors. Marc told her to get back in touch right after that closing date, since we couldn't apply for the requisite permits until then. She reached out to him right after closing, as promised. This is when the problems started. My wife emailed and called several times over several days, and Marc never bothered to get back to her. We had and have no idea why. Finally, Marc had his assistant call her back (was he afraid to make this call directly?) to give my wife the curt message that Marc would not do the job. No explanation, and a very impolite tone. We were shocked and upset, since we had lost over a month we could have been spending looking for other vendors, all because Marc wouldn't do what he told us he would, and was too avoidant to tell us that he wouldn't do it. In April, on the verge of signing a contract with another vendor (Carlton Pools, whom we are using, and whom we love), I made the mistake of trying Marc once more myself, on the off-chance that things had changed. To my surprise, I reached him right away and he professed to have no idea why things had been handled so poorly the first time. He said that now, at this time of year, he was actually too busy and we were a bit far for him, but he said he still wanted to help, and told me he wanted to try to find someone in our area whom he could work with remotely, who could execute his design for the same price point. He asked me to email him all my info right after we got off the phone. I did so. Well, you can guess how this story goes: he never replied and ignored every email and phone call I made in the coming weeks. Shame on me for thinking that this had somehow been a misunderstanding. Bottom line: STAY AWAY. Marc Nissim is unprofessional and untrustworthy in the extreme. We're amazed at how shabbily he is willing to treat prospective customers.
