That is good because the light pollution is low and it also means the stargazing is probably far better than probably wherever you came from. So, for the "tour," you drive out to the middle of nowhere--to a school, actually--then you walk with your group and guides to a field where they have chairs, blankets, and a bunch of massive telescopes set up. The blankets help but dress warm. In fact, dress warmer than you think. With the wind, it was very cold out during our experience. Now, for stargazing purposes, it is definitely better if the moon is not full, and it is also better if it is not cloudy, but nature constantly reminds us who is in control. We had an almost full, extremely bright moon, and plenty of clouds. But we still had a great time checking out the various stars and planets and even the moon itself. If you are able to plan your tour, try to do it when the moon is at its darkest. The entire tour, if you want to call it that, lasts about an hour. It is not a thrill a minute experience but it is educational and, for those into astronomy, fascinating. This is definitely not for younger kids but mature teens might enjoy it. Plus, you almost certainly will see at least one falling star.

There were three telescopes set up, and 6 people sharing. It was really cool how the guides could just push a button and the telescopes would adjust to view the particular spot they were describing. The guides seemed really knowledgeable. My advice is to wear warm clothing. It was really cold when we went in late May. Our tour was at 10pm. They do provide chairs and blankets, which was much appreciated. Like other reviewers, my negative would be the cost. It was $150 each for a one hour presentation. It was a neat experience, but not worth that much in my opinion.

First Class Charter was recommended by the concierge at The Enchantment Resort, where we were staying. The First Class office manager assured me that the driver would have a step stool to make getting into the SUV easier and she said we would be able to tailor the half-day tour to our interests and abilities. She couldn't have been more correct, Bob, our guide and driver, did everything he could to make sure we loved every minute of our outing. Bob is remarkably knowledgeable in all aspects of Sedona, including the history, culture, celebrity connections and my favorite - geology. You don't often ask a tour guide about Pangaea and get a detailed answer, which I loved. We stopped at all the high points of Sedona and at each one, we learned the significance and history. We didn't ask a single question Bob didn't have the answer to. He also had plenty of fun anecdotes about the people who settled, built and visited (celebrities) the area. We were never rushed and we stayed only as long as necessary to see all we wanted to see. Beyond that, Bob was kind to me, ensuring that I had a safe, easy time. I never felt bad because I am unable to do some things other tourists would have no problem with. He was always there with a smile and a hand to help. And when I mentioned that I wanted to do a little shopping, Bob took us to a great place to buy t-shirts and souvenirs. My friend and I had a fun, relaxing day and we learned far more about the Sedona area than we expected to. It was like having a friend give us the grand tour, for which I am truly grateful.

Time with Clint is to enroll in courses in geology, geography, sociology, psychology, spirituality, history, archeology, botany, medicine, philosophy, religion, art, the ways of indigenous peoples and basic life skills...you will go places few others have been, could never find your way or understand the significance of the sacred earth under your feet. You will not just see Sedona, you will feel her. All of your senses will awaken to her stories, her gifts for you, her love and healing. And Clint will hear what you say you need/want and surprise you with answers to questions you probably didn't know you asked. The wisdom, the truth of your Sedona will come to you with Clint as your Guide. We had the honor of a day with Hopi guide Robert Wadsworth and a healing with his brother Donald, a Hopi Shaman, for a specific medical condition. There were healing ceremonies in sacred spaces waiting to happen, as we came hoping to find hope and peace...we received all of that and more..love, healing and spiritual growth. No matter how old, fragile, sedentary or young, agile and physically adventurous you are, there is a Sedona Sacred Experience for you and your life will forever be enhanced for the journey with Clint. I found Clint shortly after we booked our trip and from the beginning he was a joy to work with! I didn't quite know which journey we wanted, but I knew we wanted to see Sedona from a local, non-touristy perspective, understand the significance of the land and renew our vows. Clint took in to consideration all these factors and designed a wonderful journey that involved splashing in the sacred waters below Cathedral Rock (his special spot by the water far away from the tourists), the wonderful Amitabha stupa and of course his lovingly hand made medicine wheel where he performed a special vow renewal ceremony for the two of us. We left the evening feeling healed, blessed and ready to celebrate more and more anniversaries to come. Thank you so much Clint for the unforgettable experience!

I was told the private rides are $250 each and there would be cantering and creek crossing. When I arrived she had us booked with Wild Horse Adventures which was with 8 others for 1 hour and it was a walking only ride. After talking to the wrangler because I was up front is when I found out it was a walking trail only and was 1 hour. My sister asked another guest what the cost of the ride was and it's $125. My sister and I paid double and it wasn't what was expected and agreed upon. Lisa acted like she was apart of the company and said I was paying for her guide and expertise. Lisa had no part in guiding anyone because she was in the very back and isn't affiliated with this company. When confronted she was hostile and irritated because she'd been caught in her lies. Please beware and do not book with her. She will over charge you double and not produce what was promised.

They picked us up from our hotel, made several stops including clean bathroom breaks and couple gift shops. Overall, the tour was amazing. Although we only spent 45 minutes at a horseshoe Bend, we were able to take some awesome pictures and walk around. But definitely the highlight was Antelope Canyon. You can only go on a tour here with the Navajo guide and our guide Ray was fantastic. We spent about 1.5 hours at lower Antelope Canyon. He really made the tour fun, informative, and he took the best pictures. The photos do not do it justice. The experience was just unreal. Each term that we took we were in awe. The downside was our tour guide Brandon. Although he was very friendly, he didn't seem that knowledgeable. Maybe he was having an off day but there were a couple times that he stopped mid sentence while telling a fact and even ended a fun fact with blah blah blah to finish up his sentence. At one point, he even started chewing on a candy or something while hooked up to the microphone. This was really annoying. We still had a very great day just a couple things that didn't make it a five star experience. Did you have a lot of options for tours and their office is located centrally in the uptown area.
