I have been a patient of Dynamic Dental for 3 years. It started out great. Then lately there has been a big change. The last three visits, including today, were not good. I had been having great check ups, then they started saying they had concerns. There was also a lot of staff turnover. I would also get phone calls from them, but they were looking for another patient. Recently every time I went in there were "problems". They told me that I had a small cavity and needed to replace a crown. The quote was $400. I showed up today for my appointment ( after being called and told my appointment was tomorrow, but it turned out they were looking for another patient again) and was told it was two cavities and the crown replacement and the total out of pocket would be $800. I told them that was what was quoted, and that a second cavity was never mentioned. I have not had a cavity since I was in my 20's. This seems like they are recommending unnecessary work. I politely let them know that I would not be having the work done and finding a new dentist. I am wondering if the office has been sold recently. read more

I have been using this Dental Business for several years with great results. Recently they were bought by a bigger company and the service is terrible. I was billed for services not rendered. The Office Manager has acknowledged this and I was told it would be taken care of and it had been billed in error. It has NOT been taken care of. 6 calls, two person to person visits and promises to correct have not been fulfilled. It has been three months and is not affecting my credit score. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them. Also, the lovely dentist that used to be there has now opened an office in Venice and I will be going to her. read more

A great group of folks working together to give you their best. I went in for a routine cleaning, a cracked crown was found. They worked hard to fit me in the same afternoon and ended up going home late so I could go home with a temporary crown with an appointment for a permanent one Thank you all from the front desk dealing with my insurance company, to my hygienist who immediately recognized the problem, to Dr Menachi who fir me in to her busy schedule. Worst dental care in the past 50 years. I get my teeth cleaned twice a year, have high pain tolerance and am never bothered by cleanings. I've seen hygenists in 7 states and 10 cities. Never had an issue. At this place today, my mouth bled; she kept running the motorized needle off my teeth onto my gums. I'm still bleeding an hour later and it hurts. She didn't clean the plaque between my teeth or even floss out the gunk. She spent 12 minutes on the cleaning (I had my phone and noticed the time because I was shocked when she started flouriding). Worst part is that my teeth are yellowed. I only went there because I have new dental insurance and they're one of the few that take it. Won't go there again, or get that insurance. read more

1 star because the dental hygienist was a nice lady. The actual "doctor" clearly is more motivated by money than patient care. She recommended unnecessary surgery and charged me close to $800 out of pocket for what my insurance covers. Read the fine print everyone. I was traumatized by a past dental experience at a different place. I thought getting cavities fixed equated to complete torture and inexplicable pain. They assured me this was not the case. They were beyond compassionate. I was very scared. They gave me the shot and worked on 4 cavities with virtually no pain. They held my hand and eased my anxiety. So understanding, caring and professional. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had to pay out of pocket as my insurance isn't valid in this state and it was reasonably priced as well. I would like to thank the kind hearted ladies working here that helped me through this terrifying experience and made me realize that not all dentists are bad. first they broke my tooth then oh wait that was after they couldn't even get me numb so they had to call in a separate doctor OK so then they broke my tooth after halfway through the procedure and so the temporary falls off and lookee here they're not open Friday Saturday and Sunday and give no emergency contact information so how can they claim to really care about your teeth or you for that point because WOW I am so sorry I have to walk through the doors and you should run away from these people RUN! read more

I was in pain. Every other dentist I called wanted to give me an app't 2 weeks away. These kind people got me in right away. The x-rays showed a complicated issue possibly needing a root canal under a crown. The dentist was able to give me immediate relief under the crown a resolved my issue. It did take 1 1/2 hrs. The initial charge, if they had to make a new crown, etc was 1/2 of anything I had previously paid. None of that was needed. I basically paid for an office visit. I'll be a regular here. read more

Dr Sellappan is a skilled Dentist. She and her office staff are friendly and professional. I had a tooth removed and will have it replaced by an implant. Dr Sellappan referred me to a specialist to start the implant process as she determined the location of the implant required extra care. This is an extremely poorly run dental office. They misquote costs, for example encouraged me to rush and make an appointment before the new year for a costly procedure and said they looked at my insurance and it would be covered if I did that. Instead I ended up paying the full cost of a crown because of their error. No apology or excuse, instead the bookkeeper came to me while I was sitting in the chair demanding my credit card or else they would not fit the permanent crown on my tooth! This is after I told them I would work it out! Second, it was not even the same dentist who prepared the tooth that put in the crown. The first dentist "no longer works there"?! Just had my semi-annual cleaning. The hygienist is awesome and very good. They take very good care of their patients.

Do not go to dynamic dental on Fruitville Road. I had the single worst dental experience of my life at this dentist office. They are overaggressive, want your money, and will use scare tactics to make sure that you get the "recommended" dental work done.I couldn't even leave the dental chair without them asking how I planned on paying for the recommended dental work. Which, was totally and absolutely unnecessary. This business is a fraud. read more

The main receptionist is extremely rude, she is terrible with customer service and for that reason alone I don't go to this dental office anymore, other than her everyone else is nice.. but like I said it's impossible to book anything without getting attitude from the receptionist, I believe her name was Donna... Dr. B is caring and sweet, and a great dentist who spends time with her patients. Monica is an outstanding hygienist with great interpersonal skills.I highly recommend this practice! The office itself is great need of a paint job (walls are scuffed and dirty, which makes the entire office appear dirty and outdated). New bright colors would make it pop and more inviting! read more

Let me guess, you're at risk of periodontal disease. Or you need your old fillings replaced. Or you need an extra deep cleaning and fluoride treatment. Or do your teeth need whitening? The dental staff here is more concerned with sales than the health of your teeth. My wife and I have always had good checkups until we went to Dynamic Dental, where we were both shown why we need about $4000 of work per person. We switched to a new dentist who said our teeth were fine. Don't fall for the scare tactics or high pressured sales. Find a dentist who is concerned with the practical health of your mouth. P.S. The dentists (and dental staff ) change frequently, which is also a red flag. read more

I'm actually surprised to hear that people had a bad experience. I had a great one. I have horrible anxiety and ocd and they calmed me down and was able to do my root canal. I didn't want it pulled so I was glad they could save it! Dr. b did the root canal. I had to come back because my infection was so bad it wouldn't numb. Just finished it today actually!! This place is fascinating. The website currently lists a dentist as "Aldred Tennant" al- though no such dentist is listed by the Florida Board. They claim on the website to have "an extensive training" (sic) in oral surgery although there are no oral surgeons at either Sarasota office. Prior to visiting the Fruitville office, I explained that I needed crowns for two teeth and was told the charges would only be for the crown and buildup. After I arrived however, I was given a treatment plan asking for an additional $200 for lab work for each tooth. When I questioned that, they agreed to remove the fee. I still didn't want the work done and here's why. The provider had given a limited exam and had x-rays of the two teeth. He admitted that it's impossible to determine "at this stage" if root canal therapy would be required. Yet, the treatment plan required me to commit "in advance" to their doing the root canal therapy. While any general dentist can provide root canal work, this dentist held himself out as an endodontist although he's not. Before my exam, I saw two cockroaches running across the floor which was a bad sign. They handed me a plan to sign off of containing two paragraphs. In the first paragraph, the office used periods in three places for commas. The second paragraph makes it obvious what sloppy procedures are in place as follows: " I knowledge that the above treatment was based upon information gathered during my recent examination. I further acknowledge that the proposed treatment was explained to my satisfaction and I understand the nature of the procedure to be performed as well as my other treatment options. In the event I choose not to schedule at this time, i understand that this treatment plan is valid for up to 30 days s intraoral conditions change over time." That's right--on a form, there are three errors in just one paragraph--I "knowledge" instead of "acknow- ledge", "i" for I, and "s" for "as." These people claim to offer a "high" standard of care so hold them to it. read more

I have had 5 different dentists in six visits over 3 years. They have a great hygienist but the doctors come and go through open doors. There has been no consistency in the officeas that front door has the same issue. The place at Fruitville is just not ready for prime time work. The latest doctor who called herself Dr B never even introduced herself and approached my mouth from behind. I still do not know what she looks like - she had no chair side contact with me at all. She exclaimed how my teeth looked good and the hygienist had not even started on cleaning my teeth, That is when I decided to move on. I agree with one of the other comments that they also seemed to always be SELLING EXTRAS. That in itself should have told me prior to move on. read more
