Started calling around and found Timber Tree Service. Now beware, because I made this mistake. There is Timber Stump, Timber Jack and Timber Trees. Very confusing. I'm pointing this out because I called one of these companies, they never called me back. Called again, voicemail filled up, then I couldn't remember who I called, happen to call Timber Tree and when a lady answered, (Katlin) I realized I had a different tree service. Ken came out, gave me a fair price. Two very large pine trees, 2 large double trunk trees, and a smaller one. The 23rd, 2 days before Thanksgiving, Ken and his crew arrived early morning, got started, returned Wednesday to finish. Stumps grinded, logs removed, cleaned up . Outstanding work, professional, fair price. Highly recommend. Thank you Ken and crew.

I had a mixed experience with this tree service…read more The good: The crew who came out did a careful job cutting down a large tree close to a building. They worked safely and avoided any property damage. On the technical side of things, I was satisfied. The bad: The quoting and scheduling process was very disappointing. The estimator visited my property (without me present) and provided a quote after walking the site. A month later, when the scheduled workday came, the technician suddenly said he couldn't honor the quote. He claimed I had poured a new cement driveway since the quote, which was simply not true -- the driveway had been there all along. He explained that using their truck might damage the driveway, so the tree would need to be climbed and removed a different way. That's fine, but the $800 price increase should have been acknowledged as their mistake, not blamed on me. I even offered to meet halfway, but he refused and insisted on the full amount. With no other option, I agreed just to get the tree down. Bottom line: the tree was removed safely, but the lack of accountability and the last-minute upcharge left a very bad impression.
