I went to Sendona Dental and met Dr. Amimuamwosa Obarisiagbon and things changed. He is the most compassionate, caring, dentist I've ever met. He not only hears you but he appreciates you. Theres no judgement, no legiture he is a truly caring dentist that will help you. He did 2 fillings for me today. And, although I was freaking out inside, he was very gentle, and professional. This guy is the real deal, I kid you not. His Hygeneist was amazing too. Please people dont wait. Go to Sedona Dental 17 Ave SE and request this dentist. He is truely one of a kind. Thank you so much I'm excited to have real teeth, and not be belittled. :)

Unfortunately, this was the most uncomfortable dental visit I have ever had. During the appointment, he repeatedly touched my arm for no medical reason. I had to move away to the side of the chair to avoid this contact. While I was watching something on the TV screen, he deliberately repositioned it so I could no longer see the camera. He also tilted my head without asking for my consent. Dr. Boma lowered the chair excessively far down, even though he is not a short doctor, which was completely unnecessary. He also moved his legs constantly instead of keeping them positioned steadily on the floor. Because of this, I felt his legs and thighs touching me multiple times, including the top of his thigh against my head when he reached for tools. This was inappropriate, unprofessional, and made me extremely uncomfortable. He never apologized or acknowledged it at all, as if it was acceptable behavior. I also asked him to stop adjusting the tissue they place on the chest, because it felt intrusive. With Dr. William, who treated me many times before, none of this ever happened--he was always respectful and professional. On top of that, Dr. Boma did not inspire confidence in his work. He kept saying he "thinks" or that he was "not sure," which is unacceptable when you are paying for professional care. I paid $1,400 for this appointment and absolutely will not be returning. I do not recommend Dr. Boma to anyone seeking competent or respectful dental treatment.

My son hasn't been to a dentist in years (long story) and they were really great with him - and me. They didn't judge our teeth, just told us what needed to be done, etc. I had a cleaning done - and - before the cleaning, my hygienist noticed I had a joint replacement and said I needed to take some pills before they did the cleaing - kudos to Tracy for noticing that! I had to make another appointment, but felt so much better knowing about it first - because apparently there are some really bad side effects if you don't take the antibiotics first! I emailed today because I am having toothaches and need to have something done and they replied, again, very quickly, and I have an appointment tomorrow (next day). I have now found a regular dentist and feel really good about it! Highly recommend them!!

As I was stepping into the office to get my cleaning the lady that did the cleaning was wonderful. She talked to me about everything and reassured me that we could stop at any time to catch my breath but once we got started I didn't have to stop once, she was fully aware of all my needs and made me as comfortable as possible when getting a cleaning that it... I then had to wait a very for bit to get to see the dentist that took my tooth out but just before that the lady that did my cleaning had gone in and warmed them of my nervousness and then had come out to let me know. Once I got into the dentist I then had to go alone with the first dreaming and both the doctor and attendant were wonderful and do understanding of what I was going through. I soon had my husband in with me and all was well. I now have clean teeth with one missing and the pain was not even close to being as bad as I thought it would be. As I was writing this review 4 days after my appointment I was interrupted by a call from guess who? It was go dental checking in with me to see if I'm ok and if I had any problems or questions now I have to ask! Does your dental office do that??? I started my treatment in 2023 with 37 trays to complete, but from the very beginning, the experience was frustrating and unprofessional. When I first started wearing the aligners, the adjustments were extremely uncomfortable them caused painful scratches inside my mouth. I brought this up with the clinic, only to be told that it was "normal" and that the discomfort would improve over time. Instead of addressing the issue properly, I was given wax to place over the adjustments and was dismissed. The pain persisted, and I had to seek help from another dentist, who was able to fix the problem--something Stoney Dental failed to do. Fast forward to today, February 26, 2025--I completed my Invisalign treatment in November 2024 and moved from Calgary to Leduc. I made the effort to drive all the way back to Calgary for my final tray, X-ray/scan,6 and to check if my teeth were tracking properly so I could receive my retainers. The agreement6 was that, since I no longer lived in Calgary, my retainers would be shipped to me. However, despite my repeated calls and messages, I still have not received my retainers. I was told they would be shipped via express shipping on February 18, 2025, yet I am still waiting. I have sent multiple follow-up messages, all of which have been ignored. When I called on February 25, I specifically requested the shipping tracking number, but instead, I was told that they would call me back-- which they never did. I don't understand why they even asked for my email address when they already have all my details on file. This level of incompetence is completely unacceptable. I am beyond frustrated, hurt, and disappointed. I6 paid extra money out of pocket after insurance coverage, only to receive unprofessional, dismissive, and negligent treatment. It has been over three months since my treatment ended, and I am still waiting for what I rightfully paid for. I would strongly not recommend Stoney Dental to anyone considering Invisalign treatment. Their lack of communication, failure to follow through on agreements, and disregard for patient concerns make them completely untrustworthy. Do better. Nb! I'm still waiting for my Retainers since November 2024 to date (26 February 2025)

Ok, so reasons why he is the best dentist in Calgary: -He knows his stuff, and is quick and efficient. -He only does as many procedures as you need, such as xrays and fillings, and he always consults you about doing said procedures. He doesn't try to sell you anything you don't need. -That's his art on the walls! (from his younger days) -He cares about you, and remembers you and your family That's Dr. Chan. But in addition to all of that, you get the warmest, friendliest, funniest and most helpful staff ever. They do their best to book you in for the times you need, to chat with you while you wait, and to remember you every time you come in. They are, in short, totally awesome. I highly recommend Dr. Chan's practice, it is definitely worth the trip.
