The Dutch Mill has been around over 50 years! The food is amazing especially their Spanish food! The flavors are those that remind you of home. Try the Breakfast Quesadillas either green chili or the Flaming Dutch Burger. I try to eat here every time I'm in town. Highly recommend! read more

Ate here the last time i came to town a month ago and it was super tasty. The service was good. The margarita was good! A good place to eat! Actually crave their red chili every once in a while. Sometimes there is a wait, heads up, but... overall Good place to stop if you are traveling or otherwise. read more

I keep coming back for the red chili burger. SFG. Choice of fried or mash, red or green but for me it's red with mashed all day long. Love this place. read more

The best food in the San Luis Valley!! Everything on the menu is delicious :) My favorites are Cheeseburger Deluxe with home cut fries, the Chicken Enchilada plate, and the green chili plate!! YUMMY!!! The restaurant is clean and quaint. Great service too :) It's a must try... read more

Dutch Mill Café and Bar is a quiet little place. We came here for lunch, on our trip up to Breckenridge from Santa Fe on SR285. It has sandwiches and burgers, which were all good. When we stopped in, it seemed as if the entire town of Antonito was here. It's actually two businesses which are adjacent to each other, sharing a common passage way and bathroom. Three Stars, "A-Okay". read more

Shout out to this Colorado staple. My father used to take us here and he loved it when he was alive this was his spot! He enjoyed the home fries and everything about this place. Tonight did not disappoint. The pork chops and fries were on point! Service was great too!! read more

Dutch Mill Cafe & Bar - Dutch--art - Bars Near Me - Antonito, Colorado

Great chips and salsa and my favorite chicken enchiladas with green chili and a homemade Sopilla. Dutch mill is a local favorite restaurant

I tried the carne adovada, because it was the only place I had ever seen it advertised that was an entire pork chop rather than pieces of pork. The pork chop itself was dry and the flavoring seemed to be a dry rub. The rest of the meal was fine. read more

The food here was excellent, enchiladas, stuffed sopapilla, fajitas. Good sizes portions and very tasty.

Good food, good service, nice ambiance. Wait staff fairly attentive. Nice menu selection. Very convenient when staying at local hotel.

Our waitress went out of her way to make sure 9 of us were seated together. She was friendly and very patient with us. She kept checking on us despite a full house! The food was excellent. We had chicken enchiladas, stuffed sopapillas, shrimp basket, hamburgers and beef fajitas. Great food and wonderful service! read more

Pleasant dinner with helpful recommendations from the server. The place had good vibes and great green chile.

I just got done eating the best huevos rancheros I've eaten in a while! The chili verde here is so flavorful yet just mild. (Since I've aged I'm forced to only eat mild salsa.) I know red chili is traditional for huevos rancheros but I was in the mood for green.) I've been told the red chili is even better. My wife is in love with their tostadas. Antonito has great Mexican food! read more

Our server Rosalie was wonderful and attentive. Great food and drinks! A super friendly atmosphere!

Best breakfast ever!! My husband & I shared the Smothered Breakfast Burrito w/Green Chile Sauce & Short Stack of pancakes. Both were excellent & no morsels of food left on plates. Boy am I full of wonderful food!! Was not expecting such good food from a town with only 1 place open for breakfast! Stop by If you happen to be in Antonito, Colorado, you won't be disappointed! read more

We love this place! We go anytime we find ourselves in Antonito. They have the best green chile-anything smothered in it I would highly recommend, although the chimichangas are my personal favorite. read more

This is one of two places in Antonito open before 11am and serving breakfast. They were directly on our route so we stopped in. As we were entering, a party of four was leaving and one of them made a point to turn towards me and say it was so worth the wait. Wow! When we entered, there was only one other person eating. It was after 10am, so after the rush. As we perused over the menu, I felt that the prices were really reasonable and they didn't overcharge for combos and sides. That was nice! We entered on the café side, but it's attached to a bar on the other side and the restrooms are in the back of the bar. I noticed the bar had a lot of space and even more seating than the café, as well as several pool tables. I would say the café had about 10-12 tables and then a register to pay at the back. My husband ordered the quesadilla which was thick and hit the spot. I'm not positive of the price but I believe it was $5-6. Service was friendly and the delivery time was good. Unfortunately the flies were WAY too persistent. There were only 2 flies but they were working together to badger us out of food, lol. I can't really be mad at them for having 2 persistent flies harassing us, it was NOT an infestation! I ordered the strawberry pancakes and am pretty sure they were $6 or maybe $6.25. I never know what to expect in this scenario. I always hope the fruit is cooked into the pancake because I think that's the most awesome thing in the world. These were regular pancakes topped with a generous portion of strawberries and whipcream. The best part is the strawberries had soaked into the pancakes- it was delicious and didn't need syrup or anything!! It was way too much to finish too. I had ordered a side of papas which was under $1.50 They were good but a little on the cold side. The only thing I didn't think was worth the price was $3.49 for 3 small pieces of bacon. Everything else was reasonable and tasty. read more

Not much else to eat and yelp reviews were decent so thought we would try it. Service was slow. Enchiladas were cold, cheese not even melted in inside. Chicken sandwich was a chicken breast on a bun, nothing else. French fries chips and salsa were good. Would not recommend unless your starving and can't make it until next town. read more

Best taco salad I've ever had. Both of my companions raved about their meals as well. Cute place we found on our way to Denver from Santa fe. read more

Horrible. Filthy. Long long wait for food. Never again. Today my stomach is paying for it. read more

We came in, sat down, got ignored, and left before I had a chance to worry about the food.

There aren't many choices in Antonito when it comes to restaurants. This was one of 2 so we gave it a go. Our waitress brought out some chips and salsa, they were very good. I ordered the fajita salad which was small for the price but fresh and tasty. My son had the Combination plate and said it was pretty good considering. My husband had a beef sandwich and thought it was decent and my other son had a burger. The prices were a little high in my opinion. Our server was the only one and was working her tail off but she was very good and efficient. Considering the options and location, it's not gourmet but I'd go again if I found myself in Antonito. read more

Dutch Mill doesn't sound like the right name for an authentic Colorado-style Mexican restaurant...don't be fooled! Food was delicious! The restaurant is located right on the Main Street- dining room was modest and there were a few shaded tables out front where we chose to sit. Our waitress was busy but friendly and checked on us often. Green chile was perfect- flavorful with a little heat. A great stop for lunch when passing through Antonito! read more

Dutch Mill Cafe & Bar - Burrito- perfect! - Bars Near Me - Antonito, Colorado

Have been to the Dutch Mill several times while visiting friends who have a mountain home in the area. While it's not fancy (at all) the place is clean, the service friendly and fast and the food is good. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. My wife and I have only had the Mexican food which we like a lot. The green chile sauce rivals that of Albuquerque restaurants. I recommend the burritos and stuffed sopapillas. Any time we are in the area we eat there at least once. It's definitely worth the 1/2 hour drive from our friend's place. read more

This is hands down the best place for breakfast. The green chili and red chili they use to smother their breakfast burritos with is amazing. The perfect amount of spicy with so much flavor. It is not uncommon for my family to drive 45 minutes out of our way when we are in the part of Colorado to eat here. The tortillas are homemade. I have tried several items off their menu and have never been disappointed. My girls love the pancakes, French toast, and hamburgers. read more

Dutch Mill Cafe & Bar - Breakfast burrito half red/half green chili. - Bars Near Me - Antonito, Colorado

Sit in the bar and enjoy some great sips with out of this world food. It's just like mom's, fresh home cooking. Everything is from scratch and just what I needed for an end to an amazing afternoon in CO. Not only is the food going to keep me coming back for more, but the staff is extremely attentive and have mastered the skills of customers service. Don't miss this hidden gem. read more

If you aren't a local you are invisible to staff. Food was ok. I've had better and worse.

Stopped here for breakfast one morning, wasn't expecting much, but were we in for a surprise with the terrific meal we had.

Only three stars because we were thirsty and in the mood for coffee in the middle of a summer drive and iced coffee was quite mediocre it was just hot drip coffee poured over ice but it didn't taste very good. But the service was extremely good and it's definitely where the locals eat there were a handful of people starting to come in and start ordering dinner items I guess. read more

Oh my! Guy at hotel recommended the burger joint, but local mosquito flock & outdoor only dining nixed that idea. So I went to the Dutch Mill. Wanted chicken, no chicken. Guy across aisle wanted baked potato ... no baked potatoes (really?). Ordered fish sammie & fries. Fish was cooked to a frazzle but edible, fries were awful (greasy, color was deep brown, maybe burnt umber ... cooking oil must have been ancient). I've survived (so far), but it's still early :-). I think a drive to Chama or Alamosa for a meal would be a better idea (my plans for tomorrow's dinner). Definitely skip this place. read more

This place is a total home run! Doesn't look like much from the street, but the food and service are EXCELLENT!! The green chile is very good, and the chicken tacos are terrific! Burgers and fries are also WAY above average. The attached bar and dance hall are great too. read more

Food is good but the service was slow and the waitress (black hair) was unfriendly and seemed like a chicken with her head cut off and only 2 tables were being served so it wasn't busy. She's obviously NOT working for her tip....With the right service easily 41/2 stars. Maybe I'll come back read more

Solid Colorado chile. Friendly staff.

Great breakfasts and generous portions on lunch and dinners. Families frequent the restaurant, the staff are friendly and attentive.

I was in heaven with their breakfast burrito....I think the grande is what I ordered. We had just finished the 5k in the neighboring town and were looking for a great place to have breakfast and my hubby, a native of the area wanted me to give this place a whirl. Boy am I glad I did. My burrito was made with a homemade tortilla and generously stuffed with potatoes, egg, ham, and green chile, smothered in red chile. A plus! Definitely a hidden gem in a small town. read more

We were just passing through this little town in Colorado near the border with New Mexico. The Yelp-reviewed restaurant was not open, so we stopped at this place. It's a cute little restaurant with a bar next door. The food was ok and the service was friendly. They had burgers and sandwiches as well as quite a few Mexican options. The chicken enchiladas were dry, but the green chile sauce was tasty. The beef tacos were a little flavorless, but fine. So if you're passing through Antonito, this is a decent choice. read more

I ate here a time or two during fishing trips on the Conejos a few years back, and it seemed like it was barely in business. But during a trip in October, I went there for dinner, and it seemed like new management had come in. The steak & enchilada plate knocked me off my feet. It was a simple meal, but it was splendidly done, real deal Tex Mex like you can't get at Chili's or IHOP, (even if it wasn't in TX). I will definitely be back on my next visit to Conejos county. read more

The restaurant was okay for atmosphere...small town diner with some local landscape photos on the walls. Everything seemed clean and the staff were helpful and nice. We ordered the Dutch Mill combo 2a and the stuffed sopapilla. Both were fine but nothing to brag about. The green chile was bland. Also going to the restroom through the closed and dark bar next door was a little scary, but their restrooms were clean and well stocked. read more

This is an excellent restaurant! I look forward to eating here every time we come visit family. The green Chile is my favorite, especially when drowning one of their delicious Chile rellenos. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try! You won't regret it! read more

Really bad food which looks just as bad as it tastes. No flavor, no color. The staff are very fast and nice but food tastes more like paper and water. Decor is old and dirty. Nothing to make you want to eat there again. Pass it up and drive to Alamosa. read more
