Nostalgic, stylish and old-fashion brasserie where young and old m'as tu vu of Ostend gathers. Anyone gets in, but it helps to get friendly with the waiters, who are the real masters of this universe. Check the half-n-half, the slow coffee and the classic shrimp croquettes. No music, just conversation.

I don't mind it looking old but the shower door doesn't do a thing to keep water in, leaving me with a giant flood in the bathroom each time I shower. The toilet also doesn't flush well at all. It tricked water in which is just enough to remove any trace of a #1 after 20 seconds, but leaves the TP behind. Forget flushing a #2-sorry for the TMI but this would be so much worse if I were not traveling alone! My stay is being sponsored by the meeting I'm attending so I'll stay and not complain but if this were my own money I would certainly be out of here after 1 night. The room is also very warm and I don't think that can be controlled by individual room. I opened the window but it was very loud on the street below so bring earplugs. On the plus side, the breakfast was great and I hear the spa is also very nice but I won't be going because it's no clothing allowed and mixed gender. I understand that is normal here,, but is it normal to go with your coworkers?! I'm confused.. especially with friends and family, but is it normal to go nude with your coworkers?! I'm confused...

Rather expensive, but cheap compared to luxurious hotels in London, Paris or New York. We stayed in one of the junior suites on the 8 floor, with private balcony. Superb view over the North Sea! Excellent bathroom with relaxing rain shower and bathtub. . The breakfast buffet was divine!!! Really everything was there, including smoked salmon! Very polite staff at the reception and at the bar.

I feel bad writing such a bad review because the staff was amazing and really nice, but I…read moredefinitely wouldn't stay here again. The rooms felt a bit outdated, wish there were outlets near the bed, but my biggest issue was about the cleanliness of the room and how it was outdated. There were spiderwebs in the shower, hair in the bed, the carpet was pretty dirty, and there was even a urine smell from one corner of the room. I should have said something but I wasn't staying long and I already unpacked and didn't want to go through the trouble so I just stayed away from that corner but there was definitely a smell in my room.

During the day they was quite a bit of noise from tourists outside talking and taking photos. Our room was good sized with a faux fireplace and king bed. The large bathroom featured a double vanity, tub/shower combo and toilet. Our room rate included breakfast as well. The room decor could best be described as cozy cottage with subtle floral wall paper, well worn plank floors covered by an oriental rug and tall whitewashed wainscoting. The low ceilings and dark interiors added to the subtly. We arrived quite early on a train from Ghent so weren't able to get into the room but when we returned closer to 3, we were checked in and our rooms were even up already.
