He replaced two parts for almost $600 (a condenser and a switch), then he told me I needed 3-4 lbs of freon and it would cost me $200 a pound. I immediately made a phone call to another A/C company and they said that they would put the Freon in for $70/lb. Premier was charging an EXTRA $520 for four pounds of Freon - and the other A/C company was making a profit on the $70. This is what I call stealing!! I post this to help save you from being robbed.

I found out later that the only reason freon needs replacing is if the condenser shorted out and burnt the freon. For my friend, only half her house was being cooled. Premier rep made a cursory inspected under the house and told her that her duct work was laying on the ground. He quoted a price of $10,000 to fix it. (Not a typo.) This is for a double-wide, mind you. Of course my friend said no. She then called Allen's https://allensheatingcooling.com/. Their rep said the duct work on the ground was scrap from a previous repair by Premier and proceeded to fix it for $150. Allen's biannual checkups are lower than Premier's, too.
