I did a walk in helix/cartilage piercing with Megan and she did a great job of explaining the piercing process and aftercare (even though I'm not new to getting pierced) it's still great to see that she was very thorough with her customers. The shop was very clean and the price was about what I expected (just about average for ear piercings)

I've gone to many tattoo shops looking for someone who uses vegan ink. I don't want the heavy metals of some colors in my skin. Lauren used vegan ink and I was sold. She researched the piece and free handed it on my leg. It took about an hour for the creative process. The tattooing itself was about 2.5 hours. We talked the whole time. The after care was easy. She put film on it. But after a couple days before I went back to Arizona, I got a hold of her and she was willing to change and clean the film. I would recommend Lauren to anyone, especially someone who wants a beautiful one of a kind piece.

Unbelievable! So I got a koi fish on the small of my back. Yes, I have a fish tramp stamp. Woo hoo. The tattooist did a fantastic job! I was nervous with all the people watching - and even a local news writer there. I was asked a few questions about my tattoos and why I was getting the fish. I was in the newspaper. Kinda cool... a very small town-y thing to do. So, there was another Friday the 13th special, and again, I showed up early... but not early enough for a freebie. Oh well, it was still super cheap and I tipped well anyway. This time, I got a lotus blossom near an existing tattoo. Let me tell you that whatever ink they use... it's permanent! The two tattoos that I had done here are the only ones I have that aren't fading already (and I have 23 and counting). The reds are vibrant, the whites pop, and the yellow... yes, it's still yellow. Oh, and the black is BLACK, not kinda black, kinda gray. AWESOME TATTOO SHOP!!!!!! I wish tattoo parlors in Chicago had deals like they did!

I went in for a Brazilian, under arms, and half leg, I was in and out in 40 minutes. While I appreciate and love a speedy service, everything felt a little sloppy. My Brazilian has lots of hairs left in very obvious spots. It seems like the back strip wasn't done at all. And I've been getting this done long enough that my skin is use to it. I'll always have a little redness/ irritation but it never lasts long. It's bee 4 days and it keeps getting worse. I have a full rash on my bikini line. And I've been getting these done long enough to know after care DO'S and DONT's. My legs are fine except there was so much wax leftover I had to scrub way too hard in the shower, but my underarms also have full patches of thick long hair leftover. In general there are way worse results you can have with waxing but this is my personal worst so far

It's always difficult to find a good "fit" with a new hair stylist when you relocate. My first…read morestylist here in Durango had 30 years experience. She did an awesome job, but the wrong cut for my hair type. Surprising. My layers literally frizzed in two weeks. The second was much younger and chopped it all off. As it grew out and I used a curling iron, I could see how uneven the cut was and it left me frustrated. Because of this, I communicated with Regina back and forth a few weeks before committing. I discussed my needs and my experience, and she was very communicative, and highly recommended Tera. Tera was a breath of fresh air. She listened to my needs, made me feel comfortable and relaxed, and did not cut more than we agreed (since it was already shorter than I like). Some how, some way, Tera understood and outshined my last two hair stylists!!! Her cut was the best I've had in years. (I'm not referring to the last two "bad" cuts here in Durango)... but she was better than my last two hair stylists I trusted over the course of the last several years. Tera cut my hair the way it has needed to be cut for the last six months... I have my layers back! Not only that, but layers the way I like them, that work best for my hair. (I don't understand why "long layers" is interpreted different ways with different stylists... go figure!) But Tera is very accommodating in every way, very personable and overall likable. I don't necessarily feel comfortable with everyone in new salons, or even new salons (and I've been to some of the most expensive there are, but they were a much "colder" atmosphere). Everyone here is down to earth and genuinely nice. The salon is very nice, but more important to me is it is extremely "comfortable," and easy to find close to the post office. Thanks Regina for communicating with me several times and ultimately for referring me to Tera. (I misspelled her name intentionally... I know her name is spelled "Thera," but I wanted to ensure that people understand how it is pronounced, not just spelled.) I enjoyed meeting you, as well, and will be referring everyone I come into contact with to your salon because it is one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in quite a while. The last several years, for example, I have had people "dry cut" my hair so that I could get in and out quickly. It was your work displayed through your photos that attracted me because they say a lot about the stylists at the Shampoo Salon. I wish I took a picture of my hair last night but I was running a little late to dinner reservations... I'll try to post one for you soon because I am so excited it looks the way it was always supposed to, but for the fact that not everyone seems to get the cut right. As with anyone, my hair is important to me, and I've not felt great about my hair for a very long time. I really look forward to my next time with you, Thera... I will shortly be accompanying my husband for his next cut... and we both look forward to a long lasting relationship with you - as all of you are such great people!
