I was here for the international film festival and enjoyed the wide and varied crowd. You can take your drink into the theatre and so I obliged with my glass of Pinot noir. Lots of comfortable chairs to choose from and sitting in the mezzanine gave an uninterrupted view of the film on the second largest screen in the Southern Hemisphere. This lovely old world theatre also houses the best of plays, ballet and shows. I could honestly live here!

The seats were very comfortable and plenty of room for me to stretch-out (being 6tf 3 and often cramped when faced with less room seats!). The seats were arranged in a slightly circular effect and it really worked nicely. An all-round nice venue for watching a film and only just around the cornerr from our hostel.
