this paper has been around since 2007 and at first you ised to have o pay for it! anyone remember that? it was a much better quality newspaper back then full of proper local news and a smattering of national news too.
then it became a free paper and i suppose the phrase " you get what you pay for" comes into play here. the amount of advertising multipled dramatically, which i suppose is understandable but ads just annoy me!
its not that bad really though once you get past the ads, there are lots of local stories that you would not read about anywhere else, you wouldnt find them in national newspapers and they would be hard to find on the internet so really it is a good resource for some things!
you can pick it up in lots of local shops and gaa clubs and pubs. you might find an interesing story to read and sure if you dont its good for cleaning your windows! read more
