Not sure about that other review - Taylor is a rock star and Claire is a heaven sent! I don't have the easiest situation so its a bit of work for the team to keep my cost down while keeping everything properly insured. Irene was great to work with when signing up, she was patient with me and listened to what I needed and took time to understand my situation - really went the extra mile! Thanks Lauren for establishing such a great team, from my perspective I couldn't be happier with my Home, Life and Auto Insurance - I am totally hands off and able to focus on other important things!

Do NOT use this agency. You are just an number to them. I was told (more than once) that my agent…read morehad a book of $3m in business and therefore couldn't be bothered to follow up with me. I admittedly missed an email (one email, from someone I had never worked with before, to an account I rarely use anymore) about my policy expiring if I didn't take action. I followed up about a week later to learn that I no longer had homeowners insurance, and there was nothing they could do about it because it was a Friday afternoon. I wish I would have received a phone call, a letter, a follow up email...SOMETHING from GLIIA confirming I knew that I was now without coverage. As of right now I have still not heard from my agent or anyone at the GLIIA office, which I suppose means I'm shopping for new insurance. Avoid at all costs. A single missed email could cost you your home and everything in it.

Could not be happier with my choice to move to State Farm. I had SF quote me last October at my…read moreannual renewal for auto and homeowners and the rates were coming in lower for more coverage. So I made the change. Six months later, my car was hit in a parking lot while my family and I were inside eating. The person who hit my car left a note and provided me their insurance. Steve recommended I file a third-party claim with their insurance company directly. I loved that idea because I was really stressing about having an accident on my record that was not my fault at all! I did not want State Farm to potentially raise my rates at renewal because of it. Their insurance handled everything from start to finish and I did not have to file anything with State Farm to ding my insurance. If you are looking for great coverage and a pro-active agent, this is the place to be.

Over $1,000 per 6 months on the Auto and over $800 for the year on Homeowners than two other quotes I received from other large companies. It also took two weeks to get the quote back. What can I say about the great folks at Stifel? A lot actually. Several of the folks here used to…read morebe with one of the best stock firms that ever was in my opinion, A. G. Edwards, and left when Wells Fargo bought them out because they didn't feel that the new company was properly taking care of its clients. It's no coincidence that Stifel's headquarters is also in St. Louis, former home of AG Edwards as well.....but I digress. As far as this specific location and it's staff, I've been with one of their brokers for 26 years now, and have ridden highs and lows in the market with him. He's always been a very straight shooter, and when I've needed research on particular investment opportunities, he's always been very dedicated to getting me the information I need. In short, I would use no one else in the community but the folks at Stifel for my investment needs.

I was trying to have my file moved to a more convenient office for me and to avoid any further conflict with James, only to be harassed a week later for filing a complaint against him. Jerry has yet to call me back and my file has yet to be transferred. The customer service, specifically by James, is terrible. He was condescending, verbally abusive and rude on the phone to us multiple times. We have been with this company for about 10 years and it was always great until having to work with James from the Swartz Creek office. He has no respect for his customers or good customer service. They treat their employees and customers horribly. I would not recommend using this business for your insurance needs, you can get just as good value at another insurance company.
