I have decided to write this review just because I have one too many of bad experiences there. In August last year I wanted to get my Canesten combi (pessary and cream) on NHS prescription and I was told to pay £15.30 for one box of medicine. When I asked why so much for one prescription, the lady from behind the counter said: "You are not getting anything free from me. There are two things inside this box and therefore your prescription cost double amount of normal price." I wanted to ask more questions, but the lady was quite rude and I decided to leave. I bought Canesten combi in the pharmacy across the street without any problems for £ 7.65. I wanted to let them know that other pharmacies have very different approach to double pack of medicine then Dumlers, but decided not to go there anymore.
However, today I was there to pick up somebody else prescription and I was asked to pay £ 0.50 extra charge on credit card. Obviously I asked why. I was told by them that that is the policy of the establishment. I then questioned the lack of any information about extra charges and the lady pointed to the empty spot on my side of the counter. I told her that there is nothing in writing, no sign and no information whatsoever. She came around the counter and agreed that the sign somehow disappeared. She asked someone in the back about the sign, but no one reacted to her question. I did not like this situation at all, but because of other customers I said: "I will be back with cash in five minutes."
When I came back the sign was still not there, I paid cash and asked why they were not more transparent about additional charges for using debit cards. The lady was not in any mood to continue conversation with me. Her statement was: you can come on Monday to talk to the manager, I have nothing else to tell you.
