I came here during the playoffs while on a weekend ski trip in Wisconsin. What a great idea!…read more Every time the Packers scored the bar dished out free shots to everyone. I was definitely cheering for the pack once I found this out. They also had very cheap $5 pitchers. This made for a fun night...especially considering our assumption was how are we going to have fun at little bars in middle of nowhere wisconsin. We never ended up bowling though... the bar was too much fun with the game on. The crowd was a mixed bunch...from camo wearing outdoorsmen to rich Chicago suburbanites. Everyone was into the game and having a great time though (probably cause of the free shots). They also have some pretty good food here...MASSIVE quesadillas in particular! If I ever go skiing in the area again I know I will be back here!

I had the pulled pork with the fresh cut fries. The pulled pork was dry but it did have good flavor. I like the fact they give you the BBQ sauce on the side and you have the option of spicy or regular. I opted for the spicy and its not really spicy but did have a good flavor. I like to dip on the side and dont like it drenched on top. If the pulled pork wasnt so dry I would not have even put the sauce on. It came on pretty big size bun but would have been nice if it was toasted or not so dry. I would say there was a nice quantity of meat on the bun and they didnt skimp on that. The fresh cut fries were good and not limp like some places do. They did not salt them so you had to yourself. My friend had the soup and salad bar which was part of their lunch special so not sure if they have it up all the time or just during lunch and that was $5.99. My mom had the chicken quesadilla and she said the flavor of the chicken was very bland and not very much meat on it. It did however look good. Came with lettuce, tomato on top and sour cream. She said if she returned there she would not order that again. The place was clean and the service was fine. Nothing above average by any means. I would go back if I was in the area as they seemed to have a nice variety on the menu from wraps, burgers, pizzas, apps and several diffrent kinds of sandwhiches.

We spent a couple of hours at the bar watching a football game and eating a homemade pizza. Both were average experiences with the pizza and service. We spend a whole day in the convention center with a Lunch and dinner. The food was average. We attend a lot of conventions. We had to ask a couple of times for water at our table. I am sure cost wise it was appropriate. We had a buffet lunch of sandwiches and cold salad and chips. The dinner was meat and salad. Both meals had a dessert table of cookies and bars. It was a little different wandering around a bowling alley while at a convention.

The burger was gamy, had no flavor and was cold. My husband had the fried cod with potato salad and cole slaw, all of which he said were awful. I also had what was supposed to have been a double whiskey Old Fashioned sweet that tasted like nothing more than the mix. While my husband managed to choke his meal down, I barely touched mine. I informed the server in no uncertain terms that my meal was unsatisfactory and demanded that the price be removed from our bill, which it was. We will NEVER return.
