The next time we ran it was in the middle of September. After running it for about 2 weeks it broke down. Keith answered are voicemail quickly and came over and replaced a part that was defective. He didn't charge anything for that visit. 3 weeks later the furnace breaks down again. He comes and another part has broken. He had to order the part. We get the bill, and it's $260. $130 for the service call, $130 for installation of the broken part! My question is, why are we paying for the installation of a part after running a brand new furnace for 4 weeks? I tried calling Keith for two weeks, leaving voicemails over and over. No one ever called me. My mother, who is 75, and not confrontational decided just to pay the bill. Kieth has never gotten back to me. Would not recommend.

He was apologetic about being incommunicado for so long and completely forthright about why - turns out that they have been utterly slammed with business, and I wasn't the only one who had difficulties getting a response. "We are so much better than the service or lack [there]of we have provided you with," he wrote, and I would definitely agree with that sentiment. After a bit more conversation following the holiday weekend, Keith and a tech came out first thing the next morning to take care of all the cleaning and maintenance that needed to be done. Keith was extremely generous with his time and answered all of the questions I had about what sort of upkeep I could do myself on my systems in great detail, down to providing me with the model numbers and other specific information necessary to source components and supplies such as fuses, filters, and cleaning/deodorizing solutions. We also took a look at the outbuilding-project and Keith provided a very fair estimate for a second mini-split system and a likely timetable for installation, all of which totally works for our project. I'm very pleased with Keith's responsiveness and honesty - two things that seem to be in increasingly short supply these days - and am glad to know that the folks who installed everything will continue to maintain them. Therefore, I wholeheartedly recommend using Elza Heating for all of your HVAC needs.

Our sewer backed up over the weekend…read more First thing Monday morning we reached out to two reputable local plumbing and heating businesses that we had had good service from in the past. One said they'd see what they could do, although they later called and told us it would be a week before they could even get to us, let alone fix the problem. The other didn't even return our call. In the meantime, we had also reached out to Superior Plumbing and Mechanical, a firm we were not familiar with. Not only was their phone customer service top notch, they said they would do their best to fit us in that day. To our great surprise and tremendous relief, two young men arrived in well equipped trucks within several hours. They were very young guys but the calibre of their work was the highest quality. They investigated the problem thoroughly and explained everything they found in great detail, carefully showing us the video of our sewer line. They took the time needed to resolve the problem and to explain how we could avoid a recurrence. We knew we had taken up a lot of time in their already busy day but they did everything they could to make us feel that we were valued customers. We will keep this company on speed dial and try to hire them for all future projects. Thank you so much, Superior Plumbing. As far as we are concerned your company has earned its name.

if I could give zero stars I would…read more if you have no idea about plumbing these guys will screw you.. and not in a good way either. My first time dealing with any sort of serious house issues (plumbing to be more specific) i called A to Z. i wish i would have asked around before i settled with the first business that popped up in a google search. All i knew was that everything was coming back up through my basement. every time the toilet flushed, or any sink or shower drained.. it came back up in the basement. I was not able to be present (i had to work) when A to Z came to check out the issue but i did have someone there for it. they had pulled out a bunch of feminine products from the toilet and without double checking (flushing or draining anything from sinks and checking to see if the problem was fixed by checking the basement) they said they had gotten the problem. I noticed the problem was not resolved and everything was still coming up in the basement. The person i had present at the time of A to Z's service informed me that they did NOT double check before leaving. I called them to inform them that it was still not fixed. They were able to come back within a day or 2 and once again i was not able to be present due to work. The same person i had present the 1st time was also present the 2nd time. I received a call from the owner that day (Zig) who had informed me that my sewer was broken and they would have to dig up my alley in order to find out where. He even explained to me that it would cost anywhere from 1000-2000 ish to do and that he understands people are not prepared for that to happen and he was willing to work on a payment plan with me. He did let me know that they had a lot going on and wasn't sure when they would be able to make it back to my house to start on it. Fast forward to 2.5 weeks later i called them up again asking what i was to do since i was trying to sub pump my basement out in the meantime while waiting for them to be able to come do their work and a neighbor ended up pounding at my door at 11pm at night about the draining in the alley. i called A to Z asking what i was suppose to do because i genuinely had no idea what to do at that point. The guy who answered the phone was very unhelpful and rude. he said " I don't know what to tell you but we will not work on your basement if there is standing water" A fellow co worker suggested i call Blakeman plumping and heating. I did and they came to my house the very next day. They pulled out even more feminine products from the toilet (we only have one toilet in the home) and that cleared the entire clog. it was never a broken sewer.. Had A to Z double checked if the issue was resolved the first time they came.. this could have all been avoided. but because they didn't and because the water than filled in my basement i ended up losing my furnace and washer and dryer due to water damage. Now i still wanted to pay for SOME services rendered.. but i wanted to speak to Zig about negotiating on this specific matter since he was still seeking over double the amount than what Blakeman charged me for actually fixing and diagnosing the issue. which was just more of a clog! as i stated.. i also lost a furnace which is extremely costly because of A to Z's negligence. Zig never returned my phone call and instead i continuously get bills with interest tacked on. The original bill was 400 and some odd change.. now we are over 1000. I would also like to mention that this situation happened back in 2021. Now that we are in 2023 ALMOST 2024.. I have had zero issues with my plumping since Blakeman fixed the CLOG. And if none of this added the topper to the NOPE cake for you.. i have one more thing to add.. When i called and the worker that answered who was being rude.. saying if i had standing water.. that they would not do work on the basement and couldn't give me any answers on what to do about the water filling in my basement in the meantime while waiting for them to be able to come do the work.. i had a conversation with Zig about how i was not needing their services anymore and told him how i was treated by the man who answered the phone. Zig did seem very upset at his worker and said he would be talking to him.. a day or 2 later my phone started ringing. A cellphone number i did not know was calling me. When i answered it was the same guy who had been rude that answered the phone at A to Z.. he continued to tell me he didn't mean it the way i took it and that basically he was sorry i took it that way. Why was he able to take my cell phone number and call me from his!? Overall this experience was horrible and having to lose our furnace because of it.. in late December when its cold.. I would say its horrible business practice on Zigs part for not calling me back to discuss this. things happen.. people make mistakes but owning up to them and using communication gets you far. this business does not do that.
