Like everything else on High Street, getting in and out of this place during rush hour, or nearly any hour of the day can be a bit difficult, especially if you are traveling northbound. The store is clean and well lit, as are the outside areas, and the staff is friendly. They carry all the typical convenience store products, such as chips, coffee, energy drinks, and of course gasoline. I've never been to a Meijer before, so I can't say if they have a fuel loyalty program similar to Kroger or not. All in all, this place is a solid convenience store, but like most convenience stores, nothing to write home about.

I try to keep about a half a tank of gas in the car in case of an accident or a detour or other possible delays when traveling. I was looking for a station to get gasoline and saw that Meijer had gasoline for $2.67 a gallon! Traffic on Rt. 23 south is really crazy and getting into the the right lane to turn in was an adventure all by itself! But the adventure had a great ending.... gas for $2.67 a gallon! They also had chips and soda inside that I could grab and take with us after refueling. The people inside were very nice and quickly processed the order for my gas and snacks. This is likely a place where I will stop again on my way back to the north side after seeing my doctor in Lewis Ctr.

The…read morecoffee is always consistent, I'm never up sold, and persuaded to smile at 6am BEFORE taking my first sip. This is a help yourself coffee stop. I love the control of preparing my own perfect little concoction of half caf, half decaf, or sugar free vanilla (one pump) and fat free french vanilla (half cup) filled up with decaf. Each day is different and offers different challenges. I NEED consistency somewhere. The rewards card is a nice touch for my loyal side.

Across the street at Speedway you're more likely to find better options- and slushies. I also had an issue one night when visiting. Upon walking in, the cashier said it would be 15 minutes before she would be able to cash me out. After waiting for 15 minutes, she still was unable to cash me out. I never got a reason as to why, she was lingering around behind the counter and I was confused as to what was going on. I returned my select few items and exited the store. The cashier did not acknowledge my exiting, nor when I entered. Other visits, I have never had something unusual happen. Not a terrible gas station, but would recommend heading across the street for better selections and service.

Her hair caught my eye - it was in braids and as she was making scooping ice cream for another customer noticed her leaning over the ice cream cooler and braids were swinging over the ice cream. When my turn came I told her I had a problem with her hair and told her hair - even in braids were swinging over the ice cream and she needed to be wearing a hair net. It made me sick. My friend and I left the store and went elsewhere for ice cream. Where is he manager to tell this gal what do do with her hair and advise her on hygine. Who wants hair in their ice cream.
