He gladly pulled up the bumper rails so our kids could bowl better than a 22, haha. There were plenty of bowling balls of varying weights/hole sizes to find one that worked well for each of us. This sweet, cute little old-time'y small-town country bowling alley is just that--it is quaint, it is simple, it is low-tech. There is no automatic scoring here; you have to dust off your bowling-scoring brain, and keep score on paper sheets yourself. Squaring up your bill in the end is simply bringing your score sheet up to the counter, and paying cash for however many games you clocked. Games were $2.50 per person, and shoes were $1 a piece, so for two games a piece and a couple hours of fun we were all in at $24. There are only about a dozen lanes here, so open bowling may fill up at other times, but not a bad deal these days if you can get in. The families enjoying the birthday party festivities seemed to be having a good time, too. If you're in the Punxsutawney area and have an itch to bowl, this cute, friendly place gets the job done.

They take your credit card when you arrive to hold for the lanes. Long story short my card and another got swapped. It cost me time on the phone and dealing with getting a new card and fraud charges dropped. PLEASE STOP THIS TECHNIQUE. Either have someone swipe to put a hold on a card or something different. DO NOT TAKE A CARD ANYMORE. This isn't 1999 anymore. I get you don't want people walking out but find a better way. Obviously your staff aren't good enough to make the system work, plus it's a security nightmare as you proved today. Fix this and I'll absolutely change back to 5 stars.

Found our way to a table, fella came from behind the bar and took it appetizer and drinks order. Cheese fries of sorts were very yummy. The Arena is connected to a bowling alley and does have a stage of sorts, looks like either live music or karaoke might take place. TVs are available to watch sporting events but the TVs might be 10+ year old, not the highest resolution by any means. Our table got cheesy garlic bread, a hot honey pepperoni pizza, and a sweet bourbon BBQ and bacon pulled chicken sandwich and fries and all the food was to die for. Everything was so fresh. Possibly my new favorite restaurant in town. We spoke with the manager that says they do karaoke nights, poker nights, paint nights, murder mystery dinners, etc there all the time. Not to mention the darts, pool tables, and bowling. If you have never been here or haven't been here lately, I highly recommend it.
