DL&A beat the price of all of the big box retailers and their customer service picked up the phone in 5 seconds to help with a question post-Walmart purchase. I ended up canceling the Walmart order and purchasing directly through DL&A bc in addition to beating everyone else on price, their customer service team was beyond responsive and knowledgeable and helpful. I assume QB retail is a small part of their business, but if it's any reflection of their other offerings - this is an awesome, customer-forward team. A++++.

We recently just launched our new business. Hours upon hours of work was put into building our…read more product, website and marketing/sales systems. We went ahead and proceeded to execute our marketing plan. Few months later, we found another company from miles away plagiarizing our website, photos and business model. If anyone has been through what we have been through, you know that it can cause a lot of sleepless nights. Sometimes you feel angry, but more so, you feel hopeless. We contacted the competitor. We were met with snarky replies and they brushed off our numerous requests to take down our copyrighted material from their website. Enough was enough. We contacted Villalobos & Associates via email at 4am once the plagiarism got out of hand. We received a phone call from Mark about 2 hours later. Who opens that early?! We thought we were the only ones pulling 20 hour days! :) Mark listened to our story, felt our pain, and calmly explained how we can position ourselves to send a DCMA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) to our competitor. Mark took full control of the situation and drew up the forms. He sent the forms directly to our competitor. It felt like Mark was heading our very own Legal Department. Few days later - our competitors took their site down. Poof. Like magic. You just don't know how happy our team was. I let each member know what had happened and now Mark is some sort of a mythological figure written in the history books of our company. It's a great story. Our team still talks about it to this day. We still send Mark gifts for helping protect our company's work and vision. He still has this demeanor that "It's what we do, no big deal" every time I bring the story up. Mark allowed us to continue building our vision and serving our customers. To that, we are GREATLY appreciative of the team over at Villalobos & Associates. We are happy (and confident) to know they are part of our team. Definitely an asset to our company. I recommend having Villalobos & Associates be a part of your Legal Team. You never know if something will come up, but you'll have a peace of mind knowing that someone will go up to bat for you at a moment's notice.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this legal office based on my experience as a landlord…read more Unfortunately, this has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I have encountered. I retained this firm in September 2025 to assist with a tenant matter, and as of April 21, 2026, the tenant is still occupying the property without paying rent. Given the length of time that has passed, this delay has been both financially and personally burdensome. Additionally, as of April 21, 2026, I have yet to receive any updates regarding what occurred during a court appearance in March. I have not been informed of upcoming court dates, nor have I received consistent communication from the office. Instead, I have had to repeatedly initiate contact myself just to obtain basic information about my case. The process server they utilized also took approximately four months to serve the tenant, causing significant delays. Even after service was finally completed in March, there has still been no clear communication regarding the status or progress of the case. To make matters worse, the process server reportedly left with keys to the building, which raises serious concerns regarding security and professionalism. I strongly encourage others to conduct thorough due diligence and not rely solely on online reviews. My experience highlights serious concerns regarding communication, efficiency, and overall service.

The accountants are all very nice and my parents have worked with all of the accountants there. When I came today, I worked with Pasquale, who was so personable and knowledgeable. Normally I do taxes myself, but this was the first time I paid to get them done and I'm not disappointed that I came here. He did them really fast (especially because I had multiple W-2s and a student loan paper), and he informed me why so many people are getting lower tax returns this year (because the nation is taking less taxes out throughout the year and giving you more in your paycheck). He gave me copies of my tax return and told me how much I will get back before I signed anything. He was so nice because he laughed and said, "If you're happy, then I'm happy!" I was very happy with my return. You can pay for the services here by card or check; however, there is a $5 extra fee for using a card. The office itself is very clean and organized, and there is parking on the street. I didn't have to wait at all because literally no one was getting their taxes done here when I came, so that was nice, but the area where they do the taxes and talk to you is upstairs while the waiting room is downstairs, so you feel some kind of privacy here.

I highly recommend Jim and the firm. M&R Ferber offers A-Z tax filing capabilities for individuals, estates, and trusts. Their web site states they provide business and payroll offerings but this review is limited to my personal tax returns. Jim has a great eye for detail and knows tax law. He's not afraid to say "No!" yet he will also recommend approaches that may suit you, ie accelerate deductions, delay revenues, itemize or take the standard deduction, or change with-holdings. He also prepares "what-if" scenarios. I have a complicated return (variable and non-W2 income, out-of-state etc.) yet his fees are fair & reasonable and completion times FAST! He takes the time to understand you, poses thoughtful questions, and explains process and reasoning. The office provides copies of all your returns for your personal record keeping. M&R Ferber provides coffee and cookies. The offices are clean, comfortable, and filled with tax law and accounting books. The shred bin is visible so there is no doubt they properly dispose of un-needed documents. The parking is free and office easy to find. Suggested improvements: please provide wi-fi while waiting or if we need to access a needed document on-line. Thanks Jim and M&R Ferber, see you next year! Patrick Shaughnessy Chicago, IL
