Great food! I tried a couple of dishes and all were very good. The interior is nice, too.

During my time in Aachen, I went here two or three times. Good value. Good food.

Yelp is dead in Germany, dead! Which explains why everything is wrong about Yi in Yelp…read moredescriptions. Do not trust what you read on Yelp in Germany, unless of cause, if you are lucky enough to run into one of my reviews! First of all, Yi opens on Sunday, I knew it because Today is Sunday & I just ate there. Second, the menu is Wrong! They've changed the business model & now everything is cheaper, no longer an exclusive super expensive Chinese restaurant, so everyone can afford to go to Yi. The place is spacious, clean, elegantly decorated. The menu is large, serves a large selection of semi authentic Chinese dishes, for the most part fresh & delicious. The seaweed egg drop soup tasted like what I had in China, the famed fuqifeipian appetizer was very delicious & as authentic as westerners can handle given that the mix of beef, tripes & tendons are all still in there. The crispy fish had too much dough not enough fish in it, with thin slice of fish, it looked more like a tray of chicken nuggets. The service was nice & ambiance was as good as it gets for a Chinese restaurant in Aachen. It's a really good place for couples or group of friends as it's tables are spread out, & patrons are more mature, thus, making the place much quieter than typical Chinese restaurants in Aachen. The chair is super comfy & it rotates too. It may not have the most authentic Chinese food, but if my wife come with me to Aachen next time, this would be the 1st place that I'd take her to.
