    A Plus Storage

Having previously rented a storage unit there, I called A Plus in June 2021 about renting an…read moreoutdoor space for our Class C motorhome. I specifically told the employee (someone that we know personally) that the self storage where we had been parking our RV didn't have a gate and I'd heard about catalytic converters being stolen across the nation. Had she told me that an RV parked in their facility had the catalytic converter stolen back in early 2021, I would not have spent 50% more $$ monthly and have driven 40 minutes 1 way versus 5 minutes. Early December 2021 we got a call from them that our catalytic converter had been stolen and also the one on the only other Class C parked there. The front page of their website says this: Fully Fenced & Gated Property. A Plus Storage is always safe and secure with perimeter fencing and coded gate entry. Apparently NOT for motorhomes. The deductible on our insurance took my whole Christmas bonus. I was told that they are not liable for anything that happens to your vehicle on their property. So it ended up being really expensive to have our RV parked where they are somewhat secluded and anyone can jump the fence. We have moved our motorhome to a facility that has 3 rows of barbed wire on top of the fencing and a serious camera system and it is less money than we were paying at A Plus. Hope this keeps someone else from losing a lot of $$ on a motorhome catalytic converter theft. Not to mention the hassle of dealing with insurance and getting the repair done.

Brenda, the manager, is a pleasure to deal with and does a great job. Would highly recommend and would definitely rent here again. I also rented a U-Haul trailer at this location and expect that to be a good experience next week on my move to Florida.

I called to order a POD and let the rep know that my driveway was on a decline. He looked at the…read moreproperty on Google Maps, indicating that the slant was not an issue and the driver would make sure the POD was level for use. I could not get anything in the POD, as everything would roll/fall out. I thought maybe when the movers came, they had a skill that I didn't. They were also unable to load items into the POD for the same reason, making it unusable. When I called the company, they would not give a refund or make any other arrangements to rectify the situation. I was told that when the POD was picked up, they would verify it had not been used and then discuss a refund. When I contacted them again, I was told that there would be no refund and that I could have scheduled for a reposition. I was not offered this option when I called, nor did I have time to wait since the movers were already there with their truck. I ended up having to get 2 moving trucks and now the company refuses to discuss a refund, nor did they want to offer any type of apology. The customer service is totally lacking. I will NEVER use this company again. My move was definitely made much harder due to this.

We started prepping our house to move to a new place for the first time so we didn't had any experience. We had boxes everywhere and had to rent a storage space just so that we could walk around the house. That was before we learned that this people bring the storage pod to pretty much your front door, leave it there for the time you need it, then they pick it up the date to schedule them to come by. If you are moving to a new place right then and there they pick it up and deliver it to the new place. IF you are in my situation where we have to leave the house and rent until our new house is built then they pick it up and take it to their facilities and hold it for you until you request them to deliver it. For us it will be for around 7 months so I will be updating this review in the future. hopefully saying how well everything came back to us. BTW. We had to reschedule the pick up time and they where really flexible with it as well. Great customer service.

Planes Moving & Storage Of Cincinnati

This is being written three weeks after the horrible move. I used Planes moving and Storage to…read moremove from Cincinnati a year ago. That move was smooth, it took six hours, I had the packing done I was charged around $6500. NOW, moving back from Chicago to Cincinnati a year later was a NIGHTMARE! As far as the amount, or weight difference it was the less furniture and less boxes. I packeted everything but the kitchen. I had asked for packing, but I ended up packing everything. My charge was $8600 +.- . This review isn't about the money! Its about the lack of coordination and teamwork there was out of the head office for my move. On Friday, late afternoon 4:30 p.m to be exact I am calling the head office in Cincinnati to find out what time on Monday the movers were coming. Another red flag! I had this move on the books for six weeks. They show up on time and then proceed to tell me that they had to load the truck and then my things were to be unloaded into another truck to go to Cincinnati. Things they don't tell you, and all I could think was breakage and loss. My queen mattress was not loaded until 2;30 that afternoon, I had asked what time they would be finished and I was told 4:30 at the latest. The lead guy was on his headphones 90% of the time planning a get together. He came with a 17 year-old ( not legal for moving) not trained, nice, but totally lost. He was assigned my bedroom. He threw heavy things into the bottom of the Wardrobes then piled my clothes on top. Minor issues, but that was one man down for sure. The other body that came was a very hard worker who packed my artwork and seemed to be the only one moving heavy stacked boxes on a dolley. He spoke very little English which should me they weren't a team and that this had been thrown together at the last minute. I never saw the "lead" guy move much or pack much after he was finished with may kitchen. I had a 100 year old gold inlayed 5ft x 3ft mirror that was to be crated, it was not. I also had. two 3x3ft stained-glass windows to be crated and were not. I have not unwrapped them, yet in fear of finding them cracked. Remember the move was from the exact place where my things were delivered, in 6.5 hours, and at at 8.5 hours into this move I had left my place due to the unreal chaos and lack of organization in loading the truck! I actually told them to burn everything. Most stressful move ever all because of this company out of Chicago, but as I said before was orchestrated out of the home office. The one really great hard worker barely spoke English, the "lead" was on his headset and then there was the 17 year old walking around without direction. I should have known and made a phone call at that point. I was met in Cincinnati, by a fabulous TEAM, lead by Dave and his two guys. I was so thankful! Then the boxes started to come in, I was told the boxes would be marked after packed ...not a one that was understood. I have 5-6 , 3x4 large boxes packed so heavy that I was unable to move them for me to unpack. The only marking was kitchen! Not a note to which box had dishes, pots and pans, or glasses absolutely NOTHING! Dave and his team worked hard and had to walk a lot farther than the grouping in Chicago. More boxes came in with little notes written by ? that once unpacked was not at all the items. My things in my kitchen were broken, once I finally found my coffee pot days later, it was at the bottom of a box that had pots and pans tossed on top of it..broken coffee pot . I replaced it but was told I needed to do this and that. I tell you what I am so over the Planes Moving and Storage I want nothing to do with them. Super stressed out trying to find my kitchen supplies that I called them often to complain and vent. THEY DO NOT CARE DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE!
