It was so beautiful!! It was odd walking right the suite and was greeted by the jacuzzi tub, that location / set up of the rooms was a bit odd. The sunroom wasn't really a "sun" room but it was quite charming and relaxing. Again, the artwork is stunning. The electric fireplace is in this room worked really well and heated up fast! The bedroom fireplace didn't really work at all. The bed and linens were soft and comfy. The bathroom was also cute and cozy. I would recommend a small upgrade from shower curtain to a glass painted door for the shower. It was freezing taking a shower and the silly curtain kept getting in the way. That shower head is absolutely terrible though, it got my hair wet every time and water barely came out. That can also use an upgrade. The breakfast was buffet style. The homemade granola was the best. Loved the fresh fruit and juices served daily. They can use a bit more choices on the actual meals, the eggs were a bit undercooked, runny and watery but okay. The suite were were in was on the second floor and we could still here the couple below us talk. We were a hold flight of stairs up as well and we heard them talking from our bedroom.... Overall the stay was wonderful. The area; there's not a lot to do in the area. You need to drive about 40 minutes to an hour to get to someplace good. Christiana mall is about 15 mins away and a huge mall with more dining options.

Can I rate a 0 star? This was by far the worst bed and…read morebreakfast experience I have had in my entire life. That's saying a lot because I am 56 years old and I have been to many B & B's in my life. First off, I want to comment on the fact that I was unable to reach anyone at the location when I was attempting to upgrade to the "Couples Package." 2 phone calls and one email were never returned..great job! The email that I sent on Friday, June 19 at 11:19 am was never returned..along with my 2 phone calls the day before. I decided to reserve the Coach Carriage Suite which was at a separate location from the main house. While walking to our suite, we noticed that the landscape in the back near our room was run-down. Apparently, weddings may have been done here at one time but it was clear by the state of the landscape that upkeep in recent times was minimal. Now let's talk about the state of our suite. I guess the thing that stood out the most was that there were alot of holes in the wall that had not been fixed. The last time the place was painted, it appeared whoever painted it was intoxicated as it looked horrible. The bed was a complete joke as It was extremely uncomfortable. We went in the bathroom and noticed that while the bathroom and shower had been sprayed with a cleaning product, the person who sprayed product never bothered to actually clean them. I have provided pictures. There was also a light that had no cover(i have provided a picture). I saved the best for last. Bed and breakfast means "breakfast too." The hours of breakfast were set from 7:30-9:00. An hour and a half, really? However, when we arrived at 8:30, almost everything was gone and there was not an employee to be found. All the dirty dishes had been piled up on a tray and it looked very "unkept." THe only food left was a couple of danishes(out of a box) and some waffle mix. My girlfriend wanted water but there was none to be found. The bananas were green. Why in the world would you put out green bananas? We had to look around to even find any plates. Of course, we could not find a single employee at the "breakfast." Breakfast is a major consideration for a "bed and breakfast" but this seemed like an after-thought for the facility. At least hotels have staff members present, food and drink available, and their quality is much better. We did talk to someone when we arrived. I told her about not being able to reach anyone. Her response was that "I think I know who it was that did not respond." No apology or taking any responsibility. This was a surprise for my girlfriend for our 1 year anniversary and I was embarrassed by what I witnessed at your facility. The thing that really stuck out to me was that no one seemed to care... Shame on you. We will never be back and I will be sure to share my experience with others.

There were a few hiccups in the beginning with the dates and times however once fixed it wasn't a problem. My only suggestion would be to move the handicap parking away from the patio. Maybe to the front of the building. It causes disruptions during the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception when people are trying to park where the bridal party is walking for the ceremony, or when people are trying to eat on the patio or play games.

It comfortably fit 17 tables (with room for more), a sweetheart table, a dance floor, and a permanently installed bar. As well as the gift table, cake table, memorial table, DJ booth, and a buffet line for dinner. The room had a beautiful cozy ambiance with lower ceilings and string lights wrapped throughout the room. The second floor and outside on their patio is where we had our cocktail hour, it was very spacious and they had plenty of tables, chairs, and high top tables for our guests to use. We decided to rent a dry bar for the cocktail hour as they only have one bar on the first floor reception area. The second floor also contains a beautiful large bridal suite with a private bathroom, and a much smaller groom's room which worked fine for the men. We had our wedding outside at their permanently installed Pergola. Our florist decorated it with flowers, greenery and tulle, and it looked beautiful! It TOTALLY fit my enchanted wedding theme! We had to bring our own table to use for the sand ceremony which was fine as a family member made a table for us as a gift! We narrowly missed a rain storm but the owners Laura and Don Dombach had clear umbrellas on hand to come to our rescue if need be! There are many beautiful photo opportunities on their grounds too! They do have a waterfall but the path to it was muddy so we missed that photo opp. Since the wedding I have talked to the owner and she said they have laid down stones on the path to the waterfall so future bride's can get to it easier! The owners were around all day helping any way they could! They were SO easy and fun to work with! I highly recommend this venue! We were only the 2nd wedding they've EVER had, and I would have thought they were doing this for years!! The price is a little high but comparable and cheaper than other venues in the area I had looked at. They also worked with us on a price as we were on a budget. I've attached some pictures of our magical day. I will forever look back and fondly remember our perfect day!! Thank you SO much Laura and Don!!

We had the party in my aunt's backyard. I called many different caterers in the area and Melissa was the only one who called me back immediately, answered my questions and let me know if they were available... literally 2 and a half weeks before the event. I had a few changes before the party and she never made it a big deal even though it was last minute. They were punctual and set up everything beautifully like they said they would. Food was absolutely delicious, I couldn't get enough of the hors d'oevres (especially the lobster puffs and mini crab cakes). They grilled the cod at the site so it was fresh. My party was only 21 people but I'm confident if I had a huge party, they'd deliver. I would definitely use them again if I have any other parties.
