One of the places to see when you're visiting Drumheller. It is near the Royal Tyrell Museum. This charming little Church has a story behind it that is posted outside. It can house 6 people at a time. Very intriguing. It might be cute but treat it with respect. When we visited this Church, we went inside and say a prayer. Unfortunately, I don't have much information on this small church other than the sign outside. It's seats only six people at a time. It's been maintained fairly well from what I saw. I love the stained glass windows. Apparently it is still a functioning church open to the public. It appears to be non denomination. We were informed that people get married in this tiny constructed church. I'm curious as to who would someone contact to do so and do they charge? Not for myself, but just in general. I also would like to know why this particular size was chosen back then? Was the builder's own money used? Was lumber limited or the cost to build expensive? Were there building restrictions to size since it's in the badlands? Was the church built for the people that used to work in the coal mine? Did not a lot of people go to church back then, hence the size? Who would preach in the church and who does it currently? Do they have regular mass or sermons held there? A girl wants to know! ;-) This is a place that can be easily visited while checking out the Royal Tyrrell museum as it's within close proximity. It was nice to visit. read more
