Dusty and Amy of Drozian are amazing photographers! They have incredible working chemistry (they are husband and wife) and it really shows through in their photographs and the way they are able to keep the couples they work with laughing and at ease. We had our engagement session in SF with them, and love the beautiful photos of us in the city we love. It was a perfect way to get to know them, and to establish our photography relationship that helped make the wedding that much better. For our wedding, Dusty and Amy kept me grounded and fed (a hungry bride is an angry bride and Dusty knew how to keep the monster at bay! hahaha), and captured beautiful romantic images from our amazing day. Details: We learned about Drozian through my husband's good friend who hired them for his wedding. It was great to see them in action during the wedding and their photos were stunning! We contacted them and they set up a Skype/Facetime meeting so that we could meet them and learn about their services. We were immediately struck by their warmth, passion and professionalism. A month or so before the wedding we had a phone meeting with Dusty to talk details before the big day! We discussed timeline and different photos we were hoping for. We also appreciated that he asked about the various groups/combos we wanted to photograph. He and Amy are super experienced and provided helpful guidance leading up to and during the big day. We've said it once and we'll say it a million times, Amy and Dusty are magicians. The work they produce is literally breathtaking. From the first conversation to the last "thank you," Amy and Dusty were polite, committed, and best of all, real. They understood what we needed and wanted and offered wonderful suggestions along the way, which is relieving when you are planning an elopement from thousands of miles away. On our wedding day, Amy and Dusty showed up bright eyed and ready to roll! Sarah, their wonderful videographer accompanied them and she is just a gem as well. All three were so easy going and offered help at just the right times. They each had wonderful stories of the places we would travel to that day and they were funny! We were told the beach we would go to was a nude one and well, to be prepared. My maid of honor and I busted out laughing and we all just rolled with it. The views were out of this world ;) We exchanged vows at City Hall in San Francisco and the entire team was attentive and kept things light hearted as we shuffled from line to line. Every request I had, "can we take a picture of this?" "what about this," Dusty was like, "Heck, yes we can!" His excitement was wonderful. Their eye to find the most random spots to shoot never once had us second guessing them. From the second we met, we immediately trusted them. These people are either really good liars or gifts from above. There were several times when Dusty would say, "This is going to feel odd but go with it." These two photographers photographed my engagement and wedding last night. Though most people go on a honeymoon the day after, I had to stop to write a review to tell people about how truly amazing these two people are, and if you're at all considering them as your wedding photographers, for your sake, choose these two. I started my wedding day off late, in a hurry, and stressed to the max. The first person I saw at my venue was Dusty, and his first words were, "Hi! Let me help!" as he took the, what felt like million pound bags, out of my hands immediately and told me to "smile." The next thing he said was, "what can I get you for breakfast?" which rang like music to a starving bride's ears after already being awake for 5 hours come 11 am. After taking my order, he immediately went to get breakfast and returned with the most delicious ham and cheese sandwich I think I have ever had, or will have. Amy was just as wonderful as Dusty. She took photos of me and my girls getting ready for hours, and reassured me the entire day that I looked beautiful and was doing everything right (which is something a bride needs to hear when it seems like everything is going so, so wrong.) My makeup artist and hairdresser failed miserably so I was left, on my wedding day, with nothing to do but hope for the best. My mom ended up curing my hair, and my friend and I did my makeup, but a week before the wedding Amy and Dusty let me know of at least three hair and makeup people, should things fall through. Day of, they were right there with their phones giving advice, helping me primp, etc. and soothed me through one of the most stressful times in my life. That was just the beginning of my day, and it ended up being so awesomely perfect, I can't even describe it, and I know, for certain, it ended up that way with the help of my awesome photographers. They worked very well with my groom, who is super camera shy, and all of the family, who were probably just as stressed as I was. There were SO many moments when I thought to myself, "hiring them was the best choice I made about the wedding (a close second to marrying my groom)." They practically helped direct my wedding, as I ignorantly coordinated it all myself and had no clue what I was doing, and it ended up being more than I could ever have hoped for! I would talk about the fantastic quality and content of their photos, but Drozian Photoworks photos speak for themselves. Take a moment to look at their blog, Facebook, whatever you need to do to see the artwork that is their photography, and you'll see that ALL of their photos are breathtaking. Let me assure you, if you are the same type of bride as me, and you've research 25 different photographers, interviewed 15 of them, made lists, "thought of everything," etc. don't think about it any more...hire these two. Where do I begin? First off, if you do not feel like reading how awesome Amy and Dusty are via my lengthy review, I recommend that you just hire them RIGHT NOW for these reasons: 1. They take AMAZING pictures 2. They are kind, attentive and know how to ease your nerves. They'll even make you laugh no matter how nervous or stressed you are 3. They are professional, creative, punctual, responsive and considerate. Their pictures speak for themselves, but it is all of the ancillary things that Amy and Dusty do that make them extraordinary... So I'll begin here! Choosing a wedding photographer is probably one of the biggest decisions of wedding planning. My then fiancé and I spent weeks looking for photographers on the Knot. We were disappointed to find that many photographers didn't offer sneak peeks, didn't offer all day coverage and/or wanted to charge OT for working longer than 8 hours or were grossly overpriced. But most importantly, no one really made us feel comfortable when we talked to them over the phone. After many weeks of searching my fiancé and I grew tired and disappointed. We were almost about to settle when Drozian Photoworks emailed their way into our lives! We reviewed their portfolio and LOVED their pictures! That evening we spoke with Amy and Dusty over the phone and immediately felt relieved. They offered all day coverage with 2 photographers, multiple packages to choose from, including videography, engagement shoot, photo albums etc., they were kind and welcoming and their pictures were BEAUTIFUL! They were the ones we had been in search for. So that night with little discussion we said yes to the photographer and honestly it was the best decision we made! Afterwards everything just fell into place. Amy and Dusty were very responsive to my endless emails. They made plenty of kind gestures that were unexpected and thoughtful. It was the little things they did that made us feel more than just clients, we felt like friends. When we finally met them at our engagement photo shoot in Napa, we got a sense of what our wedding day would be like. They made us feel comfortable, Dusty made us laugh with his many jokes and Amy was kind and attentive. Her attention to detail was excellent, whether it was fixing my hair or noticing that my necklace clasp was showing. When we got our engagement photos back we were blown away. They were perfect! As the BIG day got closer and closer, Amy and Dusty were in close contact. We spent almost an hour on the phone 3 weeks prior to our wedding planning the timeline, discussing family dynamics, everyone's name, important shots etc. It really put our minds at ease to know they were so organized. One less than for us to stress about! On the big day, Amy and Dusty arrived promptly as scheduled. They immediately came up to me, asked how I slept, how I was feeling and if I had eaten anything. They began taking pictures of everyone and everything. They laughed with my bridesmaids and made sure they were eating and drinking as well. My fiancé and I were both surprised that they had memorized the names of our families and our entire wedding party (which wasn't small, total of 19 people). Until this day our friends and family still talk about our photographers and how awesome they were! Like almost everyone's reviews mention, Amy and Dusty were very attentive to our needs ALL day long! During cocktail hour, while taking our post ceremony pictures, they brought us over 2 beers and a plate of appetizers and even made sure no food was stuck in our teeth for the pictures. And can you believe that Dusty even bustled my dress?! Like they promised, they stayed for all the important events and left when everyone started to get sweaty from dancing and tipsy from the open bar (probably around 10pm, which made it probably a 12-13 hour day for them). We got our sneak peek of 20ish pictures via Facebook 4-5 days after the wedding (they obviously asked first if it was okay to share on social media). I truly cried seeing how beautiful the pictures were and how amazing the day had turned out! A few short weeks later we got the rest of our pictures in the mail on a nifty little USB stick and we were absolutely amazed. The little things you forget about or that go unnoticed, Amy and Dusty will capture. It was like reliving the day all over again! The icing on the cake was our video! It was so much fun to watch. Amy and Dusty are just down right great people. They have love and passion for their job, their clients and photography and it's palpable. I even referred them to a coworker who was planning her wedding at the same time I was. She loved them as well! I am so thankful that we found Drozian Photoworks. Not only are they a super sweet coupe but they are dynamite photographers too (just check out their pictures)!! I got to work with them as a coordinator and they were just lovely. I'm not someone who often gives 5 stars to much, really. But Amy and Dusty earned every star and more. In fact, the photo I used on my yelp profile is one that Amy and Dusty (Drozian Photoworks) took. Below are five reasons I would recommend Drozian Photoworks. 1. They'll make you look good. I tend to hate photos of myself, but now I have turned into a narcissist. I catch myself looking at our wedding photos for hours. They don't put you in bad lighting, they are careful with their shots, the are masters of their craft. My pictures are a better looking version of myself without any plastic surgery. How they do it... I don't want to know. I never saw the shots of me with a horse face, and quite frankly, I'm glad. 2. They are wedding life savers. Things went wrong during the day and they turned into mini wedding planners and were able to problem-solve or go with the flow depending on what we needed. 3. There are always going to be two perspectives to your photography. This was incredibly important when my groom and I decided to jump in the pool at the end of the night. The moment would have never been captured the way it was with just one photographer. 4. They are the professional and relentlessly hard-working. I never saw them rest at my wedding. They were "on" the entire time, from meeting us at noon until the wedding ended 11:30 pm that night. 5. They made every family member feel special. Dusty remembered nearly every person's name and made jokes during our family shots. He and Amy payed close attention to time, so not one second was wasted. My family still talks about "how good the photographers were" and that was BEFORE the photos came out. I'm a very price conscious person and Amy and Dusty were worth their weight in gold on our wedding day. Professionalism: Amy and Dusty were great to work with. They responded to all communications in a timely manner, were always on time, and always willing to work with us on making appointments. For photographers who travel a lot, they are incredibly flexible. They were always up front about what we were going to get, and have a lot of services to offer for those who want everything. Photography: We booked them for our July wedding, and as part of our package we also got an engagement session. Working with them for both photo sessions was a pleasure from start to finish. Meanwhile, Amy is doing whatever she has to to get the shot, including tramping up hillsides. They work very well as a team and because of this, we received some amazing photos. During our wedding, they caught some awesome moments. It is definitely worth it to have two photographers present, and they were there from beginning to end. I was dreading the group photos because they always seem to take forever, but Dusty knew everyone in the wedding party by name, worked from the list of photos I gave him (it was a LONG list), and got everyone in an out within about 30 minutes. I believe they also got pretty much every picture I requested. During the reception they took so many great shots of our family and friends, while also staying festive and part of the party. We just got to look at all 500 photos they took (though the actual number was probably higher), and they were all fantastic. I don't normally consider myself to be photogenic, but they made me feel beautiful. I also love their style of photography. They keep a slightly romantic, artsy feel, but they aren't over the top, so the pictures come out soft and pretty. If you can afford to spend a little extra for some great photography, Amy and Dusty are worth every penny. These pictures are something I will cherish forever and never have any regrets about. We ended up choosing Drozian Photoworks because the quality of the photos on the website were amazing, and we wanted the highest quality photos possible for our wedding. Amy and Dusty photographed our wedding this past May. They were (are) AMAZING. From the beginning they were willing to work with us to capture our wedding day the way we envisioned, and still stay within our budget. On our first meeting, they came prepared with price lists, contracts, sample albums and more (which is more than any of the other photographers we considered). They came out to visit the ranch site a few weeks in advance, just to see the site, get ideas and listen to our ideas. On the big day they were punctual, attentive, professional and thorough. Since they work as a team, you're actually getting two photographers which is really helpful for capturing every moment of the day. Amy took pictures of me and the ladies getting ready, while Dusty worked with the groom and groomsmen. We're convinced they're the best ! Amy & Dusty shot our engagement and destination wedding photos. We were referred to them by our friends and it was the best decision we made. Hands down favorite vendor. From the beginning of the planning process to the end they were so easy and fun to work with. They make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, are always quick to get back to you and are the glue that holds everything together. We hired a wedding coordinator but on the day of our wedding I can honestly say they outdid our coordinator. They had a way of always putting me at ease and letting me enjoy the day and not fuss with the details. They arrived at our hotel at 9 am to begin shooting us girls getting ready. We had to take a limo to our wedding venue and it was close to lunchtime. Dusty and Amy offered to grab lunch for the entire bridal party while we continued to get ready at the venue, and they did. They always made it a point to check in and see if there was anything at all that I needed as the ceremony got closer. Then came picture time. AHMAZING shots. They also did a great job at directing everyone so that the family and friend shots moved quickly. After the ceremony they continued to check in with the both of us making sure we were never without a drink or food in hand. We were so impressed to have felt so taken care of by our photographers. To me one of the most important part of a wedding day is having a photographer that understands the day, understands the necessary pictures, then steps back and lets you enjoy the day. From the moment I met Dusty and Amy through a skype call I knew they were going to be our perfect photographers! There personalities are so outgoing and they just have a kind nature to them. From our engagement session to the actual wedding day Amy & Dusty went above and beyond to make sure everything was spectacular. There thoughtfulness through the planning process and expertise/tips was what every bride needs. That said, not only did our pictures come out to be amazing but Amy & Dusty were far more than just your standard photographers, they helped my bustle my dress, move tables and jumped in whenever/wherever needed. Their attention to detail is impeccable they caught so many moments I myself had no idea were even happening. Not to mention my bridal party (8 girls & 4 boys) were highly impressed with Dusty's ability to remember each of their names. As a bride who was in charge of the wedding finances, Amy and Dusty fit into our budget perfectly, that said they offered a variety of packages so there is some flexibility for different types of budgets. All in all, you can tell Amy & Dusty enjoy what they do and have a passion for photography but also love their clients and want to satisfy with photos that are amazing and a service that is beyond expectations. I can't recommend this team enough! I had a boudoir session with Amy, Dusty and Elisa and it was awesome. I wanted to give the pictures to my husband on the morning of our wedding and even though the appointment was last minute (and only a couple weeks before the wedding), Amy and Dusty were very quick to respond, willing to schedule a last-minute shoot and finished the pictures and a photo album before the wedding. The album they made was great and they even wrapped it in a nice box that I was able to give straight to my husband as is. I had never done anything like this before and was very nervous but they made me feel very comfortable the entire time. Elisa worked her magic with hair and makeup and Amy knew the exact best poses and lighting setups that would create the most gorgeous pictures. We just worked a wedding with them this past weekend at Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite-they were friendly, funny and professional! I can't say enough about Dusty and Amy! From the first time we met with them via Skype, we knew they were the right choice to capture our wedding day. They were professional at all points of the process but still SO much fun. On top of all of that, the photos they got for our engagement shoot and wedding are all amazing. Everyone that's seen them have told us they're the best wedding photos they've ever seen. For our engagement photos, we were both nervous about how they would turn out, but they made the entire shoot so easy. They absolutely know what they're doing and when we got our photos back, they were beyond anything we could have imagined. Once we saw our engagement photos, we couldn't wait to have them photograph our wedding! Come the wedding day, they were on time, so much fun, and they knew the names of our family members, wedding party, and everyone else involved! They captured the entire day in the most amazing way. They captured emotions, reactions, and moments of not just my husband and myself, but our guests as well. At the reception, they were phenomenal. They had shots already planned when we met with them for more photos before cocktail hour and everything went smoothly and quickly. They coordinated with our on-site coordinator, the DJ, and my cousin that emceed the reception. They had a ton of fun with the guests, and everyone commented on how much they loved our photographers. Not only were they busy snapping away all night, they made sure everything went smoothly as planned. My husband said a few days before we received our wedding photos that the wedding wasn't as clear in his memory anymore now that a couple of weeks had passed. As soon as we got our photos, he re-lived it all over again, including some moments that we had no clue were even happening but Amy and Dusty caught them! Amazing, absolutely AMAZING. Amy and Dusty photographed this past Saturday in Marin County and I cannot praise them more for how wonderful they were. Throughout the entire process of working with them, they have been nothing but friendly and extremely professional. They drove to multiple locations to make sure that photos were taken. Dusty even helped load boxes into our car! They were so understanding when I had a mini meltdown - we never felt rushed AT ALL, but they did a great job of keeping us on track to get all the photos we needed. My husband and I recently were married in July and we used Drozian Photoworks for our photography. Dusty and Amy were suggested to me by a friend of mine and I could not have been any happier with our pictures. I don't even know if words can describe how awesome this couple truly is with their photography skills! Dusty and Amy spent almost the entire day with us. They were at the hair salon early in the morning taking pictures and looking for locations to shoot the group pictures. Not only did they find beautiful spots to take the pictures, but they made sure I was at ease throughout the day. The timeline did not go as planned and I didn't get to take as many pictures as I wanted with my bridesmaids, but I wouldn't change anything about the way Dusty and Amy handled the situation. They made sure I was enjoying the day and not stressing about everyone else. We were able to view our pictures online about 2 weeks after our wedding and were amazed at the quality and angle of many pictures. From our family to our friends, they could not stop talking about the fantastic photographers at our wedding and the pictures that came from it. Dusty and Amy were the absolute best photographers we could have ever asked for. My husband and I got married in October, and they did our engagement photo shoot before, and the entire wedding day. They were an absolutely blast to be around, and everyone in the wedding party and attending the wedding completely loved them. Amy and Dusty are amazing! They did a boudoir photo shoot for me, which I am going to use as a gift to give to my husband on our wedding day. Although I did not hire them for our wedding, I wish I knew about them sooner so I could have! They are so fun and very professional. The quality of the pictures I received were spectacular and the best part was that it only took about 2 and a half weeks for me to get my pictures! I've spent the greater part of the last few weeks trying to find the perfect words to put together for this review. and the truth is, there's no exact way to say how PHENOMENAL Drozian Photoworks is. Because if I'm being completely honest, you can't go wrong with anyone who's been photographing a while..you know they're going to give you some great shots. But here's the thing with Drozian Photoworks. Amy and Dusty are SO MUCH more than that. With them, you're not just another client, they're not just your photographers. With them, it's an experience. And that's what it's really about, am I right? they gave us the smoothest, most beautiful day we could have asked for. That might seem like something so entirely cliche to say, but it is the best gift anyone could give to you on your wedding day. They gave that to me. And will give that to you! Our photos are out of this world gorgeous. I mean, they are 5X winners of the Knot Wedding Best Of's. If I only had one piece of advice I could give a bride..it would be this. In a nutshell - these are the most amazing, fun and talented photographers ever!! We were fortunate enough to have been introduced to Amy and Dusty at another friends wedding, long before we were ever engaged. When we did get engaged and were looking for a photographer, we remembered them instantly! So glad that we did!! The process was so informative and easy working with Amy and Dusty. They were responsive and thoroughly answered all of our questions and did not push us to make any quick decisions. For our engagement session, we told them the vibe we were looking for, and they picked the perfect spot! For the wedding, even though they had not shot at our particular venue, they had been to the area frequently, did online research and viewed lots of Google maps street views and found incredible places for us to take Bride & Groom shots as well as Wedding Party and Family. They stayed on top of the timeline and when I knew the wedding was getting close and I should be reaching out to them with information, they were already reaching out to me - they not only helped plan the photography timeline, but in doing so, helped my pull together the rest of the wedding timeline! We (B&G) sometimes got a bit lost, but they helped make the process so easy for us. During the wedding, they acted as not only the photographers but day of coordinators. Dusty was always making sure we had food/drinks throughout the wedding (he made sure to see to it that we got to try our signature drink ASAP!). Amy took all our accessories that we had discussed ahead of time and took beautiful shots that I would have never even dreamed of! They are also incredibly efficient, which was so important to me (we didn't want to spend all day JUST taking pictures). We had our list of family photo's and got them done in no time so we could go enjoy the cocktail hour and get to see our guests more. Lastly, and most importantly - the photo's for both the engagement pictures and ESPECIALLY the wedding are INCREDIBLE!!! We got them much quicker than we would have expected and they are just beautiful. We can't stop going over and over them and some of the moments they captured are to die for. We hysterically laugh every time we some some of the crazy dancing pictures and facial expressions that they captured. How do they do it?! We also asked them to do a video, fairly last minute before the wedding, and with no problem, they brought along another cameraman, Austin to also capture some video footage. It is so fun to watch the highlight video and in just 3-4 minutes it really captures the whole wedding. We just love it and will cherish it forever. I highly recommend Amy and Dustin to everybody I come accross who is getting married. They photographed our wedding in June and the pictures are simply stunning! We had so much fun doing both our engagement session as well as our wedding, we really felt like we were hanging out with close friends instead of being with some ol' stuffy photographer. They were patient and made sure they get the shots that they wanted, we didn't feel rushed a single time. Our entire wedding party just adored them and are still talking about the experience. They spoke numerous times with us about the event and the details, and even did a site visit to our wedding location. Amy and Dustin have officially been hired to be our family photographers, we will always call on them for any photography needs in the future. This couple is beyond professional and made the entire experience beyond memorable. Amy and Dusty were what took our wedding from an amazing day to a perfect day. I knew that I had made the right choice choosing them as our photographer before the wedding even happened. They were a key part of my planning prior to the wedding thanks to their willingness to sit on the phone with me and plan our our entire wedding day schedule. They had so many great tips on what to bring and how to order things, and it made my life so much easier. As things changed leading up to the day, the adjusted accordingly and they were always so easy to communicate with. I instantly felt that they were as invested in my wedding as I was. Our wedding day arrived and Amy and Dusty showed up to start taking getting ready pictures with me and my bridesmaids. They fit in seamlessly with our group and were the perfect mix of quietly moving about the house taking pictures of the rings, shoes, etc. while also making friends with everyone. They had my bridesmaids' names memorized instantly (along with giving them amazing nicknames), and they helped us all maintain a sense of calm while also keeping us on track with our schedule. They were prepared with everything from every colored bobby pin to water and snacks, and they made sure that I was taking time to drink water and eat my lunch. Throughout our ceremony and reception, Amy and Dusty were stellar. They made sure that my husband and I always had everything that we needed- from drinks to passing messages along to our coordinator, they were on it, and they were anticipating my every need. When my bustle broke, Amy was right there helping me fix it while Dusty fanned me with a piece of paper (I was dancing hard and sweating a lot). They made the process of taking family pictures after the ceremony (something I was looking forward to the least) SO easy. Dusty controlled the process but with a great sense of humor, and they directed the group as if they had known our grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins forever. They were always present, but they were never in the way. We just received our pictures last week, and the final product really sealed the deal for me. Our pictures are amazing. They not only captured every moment beautifully, but they also captured my husband's and my personality, the personalities of our families and guests, and the feeling of the wedding. I will be insisting that all of my friends work with Amy and Dusty for their weddings, and I'll be searching for an excuse to work with them again. I feel like we became close friends and my husband, parents, bridesmaids, and I all talk about how much we miss them. While planning my wedding, I didn't realize what a catalyst your photographer can be.
