Store was small and well organized. Prices were fair for a convenience store. Service was polite. Had a good time eating our cookie and belgian waffle here after purchasing. There is a small counter area with bar stools which we took advantage of. Would be a regular if I lived in Stavenger or worked in the area.

We had to get some too! Lots of choices for ice cream, sorbet and toppings. Hubby really liked his banana split. I enjoyed the lemon & lime sorbet - it was creamy, tart & sweet - very refreshing! There are many nice cakes and tartlets in the Vitrine and we choose a couple different ones as well as cappuccino and milk coffee. The staff is very friendly and advises us on what to choose and what the flavors are! We sit down and enjoy our cakes and coffee. if you're an expat from the US or UK in stavanger, ultra has a few things you might miss from your…read moregrocery store at home. as soon as you walk into the supermarket, the first aisle on your right is stocked with a variety of canned soups, heintz ketchup, the infamous blue box of mac n cheese, as well as other non-perishables. apart from the import aisle, there's a great selection in the more norwegian grocery selections. fresh produce, fish & meat dish and a pretty good selection of fresh organic breads. the other grocery aisles carry a better variety of foods than the average obs or other large low-priced supermarkets. so far, i think ultra and the helgø markets are on the top of my grocery store lists in stavanger.
