I received all the photos, bloopers and all, and it's amazing because I can relive those moments. Most photographers only give you 20 photos of all the ones they took and you never get a chance to see if there are other ones you might prefer. I still need to send her the ones we want retouched for framing etc, but I am ecstatic about my experience with Mariana.

We are not an easy bunch to get in one picture, let alone looking in the general direction of the camera with happy-ish faces. Christina took outdoor family pictures of the five of us and I could not have been happier with how the session went. She is a great combo of easy-going but directive enough to actually get good shots. She is super sweet and my kids loved getting photographed by her (not always a given with previous overly-intense photographers). Of course, the best thing about her is that she takes amazing pictures! She captured the personality of each of my kiddos so perfectly and also (miraculously) managed to get several different kinds of pictures of the whole family. I also love her aesthetic and the way she edits the pictures. Everyone looks like the best version of them self, but still looks like them self. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

After paying her THOUSANDS of dollars, she "lost" all photos from the wedding in the church…read more Thankfully she did have the photos from prior to the ceremony and at the reception. I have NO family photo with my parents and brother. I have NO photos of me and my husband both facing the camera. I am missing dozens of family photos. Her response was to give me back $200 in increments which I didn't think was even close to enough refund and I've yet to receive any funds from her. Christina has been unresponsive to phone, e-mail, and texts. It took her a year to get us photos. We we're married September 2018 and didn't get the final photos until September 2019. The first photos she provided were thousands and thousands of photos that she never looked through or edited. It was a NIGHTMARE working with her through this process. At our reception, I had to continually find her to ask her to take photos of me and friends and loved ones. Her favorite place to be was behind the DJ booth eating and chatting with the other photographer she brought with her. It is truly unfortunate that this is how it all ended because I loved my engagement and bridal shoot. If she would have continued the level of service, photos, editing, etc, she had at the beginning, this would have been a much different review.

My initial Google search provided me studio photography options that just weren't my style. What happened next was fate. I did an image search, and came across a vibrant photo taken at American Tobacco Campus. Who was behind the camera for THAT? Turns out it was Ms. Carolyn Scott! I looked at her website and fell in love with her portfolio. My benchmark for photographers are children's photos - if you can photograph children, you can photograph anything. Her family photography looks so natural and captures each member perfectly. Sold. Contacting her was easy, and chatting with her was like catching up with an old friend. I decided to do a full branding session because I wanted to be photographed in 2 different outfits - one for my professional branding, the other to celebrate my 34th birthday. The session itself was so much fun. It's natural to feel a bit nervous at first, but she's very good at helping you relax and feel your best. I use my photographs for everything from LinkedIn and Zoom profile pics to social media and my blog. Highly recommend.
