I've been using this wash for a while, mainly because the unlimited plan is convenient. But I'm posting this because owners of dark-colored or luxury vehicles should be aware of a real issue. Over time, I started noticing light scratches and swirl marks appearing on my car's paint -- especially visible because my car is black. After paying close attention, it became clear that the wash process itself is likely responsible. The microfiber "tentacles" that physically scrub the car seem to collect debris, and when that debris gets dragged across the surface, it leaves marks in the clear coat. That kind of slow damage is hard to notice at first -- but on a luxury vehicle, it becomes expensive to correct. For the price of the membership, I expect more focus on equipment maintenance and paint-safe procedures. There's no touchless option here, and unfortunately it's starting to show on the vehicle. If the wash system were cleaned more frequently or if they offered a safer alternative, I'd gladly stay a customer. I'm posting this hoping management takes it seriously. If nothing changes, I'll have to cancel my subscription and move to a touchless or hand-wash service elsewhere. I had a terrible experience with Driven Car Wash, and I strongly recommend avoiding this place. After using their wash, my car came out scratched, clearly the result of dirty brushes. This is a brand-new vehicle that has only ever been hand washed before this, so there's no question where the damage came from. After the fact, I looked into it and saw multiple reviews from other customers reporting the same issue. When I brought it to their attention, management completely denied responsibility and showed zero interest in helping resolve the situation. No accountability, no effort to make it right, just "too bad." What makes this even worse is that I was a loyal customer with TWO monthly subscriptions, spending around $500 per year. Instead of taking a customer-first approach, they chose to dismiss the issue entirely. Now, they've lost my business--$1,500 to $2,000 over time all because they couldn't handle a complaint professionally. Honestly, all they had to do was say: "We're sorry, we don't believe it's our fault, but here are a few free washes." That simple gesture would have kept me as a customer. I was rear ended while inside the car wash this afternoon. I am not sure if this was the fault of the guy behind me or if it was the fault of the car wash. I have been concerned about this place since the guy behind me is usually, in my opinon, too close. Today was the first time I was hit. Above and beyond customer service! The best! I had turned my vehicle off to vacuum and dry however when I went to start it up to leave.. nothing. New(er) car and with an engagement to get to, I thought I would contact AAA. When I went to inform a Driven team member that I would have to contact AAA and hoping for their help in securing a spot next to my car for, the team member responded with such genuine thoughtfulness and concern. She contacted the manager, Cale, who helped try and diagnose the issue without much luck. He later returned with Isben, who was able to test the battery, see that it was low and then, helped jump my car. It turned out to be a defective, recalled battery. These guys saved the day and helped restore my faith in people. Thank you!! read more

Went to this location for monthly car wash. Although the business has a self-service kiosk they are now posting HS kids next to the kiosk who basically do everything you could do yourself (i.e. choose the type of wash, insert payment card, etc.); however, in addition to these tasks, the kids relentlessly pressure you into accepting a longer term, multi-wash, "contract". They are very annoying in doing this and ask the same question numerous times saying things like: "Are you sure?", "This is a great deal", etc. From reading other users' comments, if you accept one of these "deals" you are committing to a long term contract which renews monthly unless you go through the trouble of cancelling it. A typical bait and switch. I'm not returning to this business as there are NUMEROUS other car washes in the immediate area. Don't know what the mindset of this owner is but apparently he gets enough customers to agree to these "deals" that it makes pressuring them worthwhile. read more

A follow-up to my original review. Once again, Driven Car Wash did not disappoint. My car wore weeks of filth and foo from driving through the gloop of winter. I was in the neighborhood and, Driven being my favorite car wash, decided to pop in after devouring a delicious meal from Johnnie's Beef across the street. Being the car wash snob I am, I admittedly went in skeptical. The negative-nancy voices in my head said, "equipment will be broken, the rinse won't be as good, blah blah blah." My positive side was vindicated. I was met by a very friendly staff member who provided me with some fancy cleaning towels and the best-smelly air freshener one could get for free. Entering the tunnel I encountered clean, shiny equipment, and more staff smiles. All the equipment was ship-shape, slathering my poorly maintained exterior with loads of clean. Exiting the jet-engine level blowers my car was, once again, impeccably clean. I can't explain the voodoo magic that happens at Driven Car Wash, but the owners have this car wash thing nailed. Not a single speck of dirt or water spots remained. If I didn't think I'd be hauled off to the insane asylum, I would've jumped out and performed a "happy-car-wash-dance." Not sure what that'd look like, but I promise you'd be entertained. Driven Car Wash, please open more washes. You CANNOT be beat! read more

Abysmal experience. Downloaded the app, added my four vehicles to the app, and was supposed to have a free wash for downloading the app. Showed up at the Buffalo Grove location, and the booth attendant had no idea what I was talking about for a free wash. He sold me a $20 wash, which I reluctantly paid for. Went through the wash, parked by the vacuum stations. Vacuums worked well, not perfect, but well...BUT there was an excess of soap suds in multiple places on my car (note: this is a problem with other customers based upon review). I went online for customer service, and I was told someone would be with me shortly--but that was not the case. Hours later, there is still no reply or response from customer service. (Honestly, I didn't expect live support on the weekend--but then so so). So I am still waiting. read more

This is the 2nd increase in less than 6 months, since the 1st month promotion expired. And, there is NO direct way to change or cancel membership. Fabulous new place to get quick, higher quality car washes than the gas station... recommend getting the monthly pass at $20 ... seems worth it if you wash your car at every fill up. If I can get 2x the norm $17 special... its worth it, especially in the winter. Dry off in the free vacuum areas, and get the interior cleaned up while you are at it... your wheels need a weekly shower too. P.S. anyone else feel superior to all the grimy cars out there? Especially the ones where you can't see out their rearview? I know I do... and I also question their personal hygiene. ;-) read more

Zero stars. Scratched my Acura in TWO places (scratches are identically placed and occured on different days at different times and I firmly believe it was this car wash. Maybe it was crud in the brushes from the dirty cars, but in any case, it is 2 Scratches (not just one) so I didn't think they scratched it the first time; but after the second time, there is no doubt in my mind that the car got scratched in this carwash.) No one is ever there. That says it all. Its better to have a dirty car than the finish being all scratched up! I also thought my kid may have screwed up the paint on the hood this winter, as there were like round sweeping scratches to the surface of the hood, but those were not super deep paint scratches like these other scratches are (which require body work). But now I am very certain that this car wash scratched it then too. Do not let your precious car go through this car wash. They don't give a ______ and will not do anything whatsoever to try to make it right. Just drive a dirty car. At least it won't be scratched! read more

Today my wife and I made a final decision to cancel membership due to up charging our membership in which we did not authorize nor was aware of it. This has been happening to us often. We have been with Driven ever since they opened at Arlington hts location. Called today and canceled both memberships!!! Look at you credit card statement. As another customer noted, I have been a member with Driven for a year. When I singed up I was told the membership price would not change as long as I did not cancel the membership. Well starting in January my price went up I talked to the manger and they fixed the price back to the original quoted price. Well the next month the same thing happed and it was fixed for a 2nd time. The 3rd time I canceled the membership. Very discouraging they ownership does this. read more

Tried Driven Car Wash to wash all the salt off of my car. They are relatively new in the area. They offer 3 choices of washes and a monthly membership. There was a separate line for members. They offer free vacuums and also a machine to clean carpet floor mats. The attendants were very attentive and assisted with selections. I was pleased with the quality of the wash. read more

They offer a "deal" for 9.99 where I was told I can cancel a month later and will not be charged. I was charged for it and a ticket was submitted to a "manager" for reversal but was denied because I had to cancel at least 5-7 days before the 30 days. I was told different by the attendant upon sign up. Beware! I am not the only one this has happened to and not even a callback from a manager I had to follow up multiple times. read more

For an auto car wash, it's the best one I have ever been to. Nice treat once in a while. They give you a fiber towel and hanging deodorant. A woman said if you sign up auto, it's a much better deal pay as you go. Its nice not to feel obligated to pay yips to people standing to dry.Their dyer is supper greatI'm sure some people go every day because they think they are paying even if they are not dirty. I take a few cars there and i have the signature membership in 2 of them the other 4 cars i just pay every time i take them because they are work vehicles and they don't need to be washed more then twice a month the reason for the 2 stars is because i had on accident there with the vacuum and i told the staff they took my number and everything told me they would retrieve what it got and they would call me the next day... they didn't call me so i went the day after when another crew member was closing they told me that the guy didn't find anything even tho i told him where it happened and everything and he said he would personally look for it the other member told he probably forgot and threw all the garbage away and laughed about it the key that the vacuum sucked in is to a $675 dollars tow hitch i mean i don't find it so funny specially since i told them as soon as it happened and for them to take it as a joke is not nice the 2nd member gave me a bogus number for a manager that wasn't a real number so be careful if by mistake anything gets sucked by the vacuum because you will never get it back and the employees won't do anything about it. read more
