After I sent a message re: the "no call, no show" I received a response saying that they didn't come because I said that other companies were going to come and give me a price. I never told them not to come, and if they didn't want to bother they could have said so. But they made an appointment for that afternoon and then when they didn't show they acted like it was because other companies were coming out - which they knew when they made the appointment. So they don't show and then lie about it.

After 10 minutes of not receiving a reply, we called, but he would not answer the phone. I doubt he could get more unprofessional. I would not recommend this company.

Our experience landscaping our…read morenew yard started off great with their excellent design and prompt completion of the grading and planting . Then some of the new plants died. When they returned to add a fence and gate and fix some of the drainage not done properly with the initial work, Chris told us he'd replace the dead plants . When we received the invoice for the additional work, they charged us $275 for the new plants . I contacted Chris and he told me that he does not guarantee plants , and accused me of overwatering them . I told him that I did nothing of the sort. After arguing back and forth over the extra charge, we agreed to split the cost of the replacement plants and labor. My review is based on the fact that his company performed all of the soil prep and planting, and if there was a problem with drainage or plant suitability, they should stand behind their work. I can recommend Harrington landscaping for their quality of work, but be aware of their poor customer service history.

I wish we had shopped around before hiring the Sod Man to do our lawn. There are uneven spots-…read morehighs & lows- in the yard, definitely not flat and smooth as promised. Also the owner is very nice but has poor communication skills, as we thought we were getting enough sod to cover at least the majority our lawn, because he stood on the edge of our yard and drew a line with his orange spray paint. But when his crew came and went, we only had about half of what we thought we had ordered which was a nasty surprise! True- we only paid for a thousand square feet, (although when measured after the job was done we only got 965 square feet) but the owner had given us the impression we were going to get more like full lawn coverage. So, very disappointed in that because if he had been more clear we could've made an informed decision. I wish he had drawn it out and been more specific as to what we were getting, but I feel like he only wanted our business. When we agreed to hire him he just left it at that and we never saw him again, just the crew. The crew did come very quickly though, and the actual shape of the lawn is nice. Just way different than what we had expected- and I definitely don't believe we would've agreed to pay $2,100 for what we got.

I called SuperSod to get some new zoysia sod installed on my front yard and this was one of the 2 that responded. I assumed they were vetted but I was wrong. They actually used sod and soil underlayment from another (unknown) provider when I assumed I was getting SuperSod grass. It did NOT hold up and immediately started looking patchy and dead throughout. Keep in mind this would have been my 3rd round with SuperSod where I had personal experience laying sod and NEVER had this problem before. Unfortunately this project was too large for us this time so we wanted to hire "pros." What a joke. He ended up crediting me back a portion and I had to redo about 1/3 of the front yard myself. Funny how dramatically different that area looks from the areas that he did. ALL of the yucky areas have been in the areas he originally laid and continue to this day. I would NOT recommend this company and would instead advise people to buy their sod and supplies directly from SuperSod and hire one group to do the tilling and possibly another to do the sod laying to ensure they don't try to cut corners. This requires getting the scheduling/timing just right but in this way you can control that each process is done correctly. The Sod Man also didn't even lay the sod correctly - staggered. They just slapped it down along the same lines all the way down. If I know that, so should they. There is simply no excuse for any of this. And yes, I am 150% certain this is all true. I personally verified with SuperSod that they did not purchase the sod from them and theirs was on a different base (SuperSods is on a more sandy base), SuperSod's sod was longer - I had to replace a lot of areas so could compare the two. Sad that you can't seem to trust anybody these days.
