From the outside it doesn't look like much but we were surprised that when we went in to check it out, we found that they actually have a small dining room with tables and chairs. There is a counter where you enter your order and sandwiches pay for your food. The menu is surprisingly extensive. They have both hot and cold sandwiches along with some hot entrées . I had a cold pastrami sandwich and it was very good. I liked it better than most supermarket sandwich counters and better than Subway sandwiches. My wife had a cup of Vegetable Barley Soup and Onion Rings. All in all, it was pretty good. It was far better than we expected. This is a good lesson where we should not judge a book by its cover.

The carafe was almost empty very dark and smelled very strong, I put some creamer in and it was obvious that it was not drinkable. I put it in the trash and told the Owner thank you and left the store. He comes out into the parking lot saying he needed to talk to me.I walked over to him seeing he had pulled the cup out of the trash and he asked, what did i think I was doing? This is not free! Do you think I get this free? I said it was old and undrinkable, he said he just made a fresh pot. I said no that was old and the pot was empty, He involved a male customer saying do these woman think this is free? I said look the coffee is too old to drink but if it's a problem i will pay for it but will not drink it. I reluctantly paid for it, as he threw it in the garbage. I was embarrassed about the whole situation and very disappointed with the owners behavior. Needless to say I will not be doing business at this store again. Darla Brabender

The store is clean, well-organized, and has decent prices; its shelves offer organic local-grown and fair-trade items for the concerned shopper. Books, juices, gluten-free foods and other items can be found throughout the shop too. I was personally impressed with the honey and organic vinegar selections. I'm confident the store will succeed because this ethereal little shop will unquestionably fill a much needed demand for the people of Oakland, Sutherlin, and the surrounding rural areas. They have a small assortment of stuff that you would expect to find at any gas station convenience store and a few things that you won't necessary find at those types of stores. Prices are fair, especially if you take into consideration they prevented a trip to Walmart (if they have what you need). Also, they do have a couple gas pumps, nothing special, as far as I'm concerned these are for emergency fillings from not realizing where you were at on the tank scale. Be advised sharp corner into gas pumps will only allow cars, suv's and regular size trucks. If you try with anything else .... do so at your own risk. Customer service here has always been good. Staff has been friendly and in many cases there are lots of repeat business/customers so they get to know everyone a little bit more than what you would find at the big box grocery store. Kind of a small town feel about shopping in here. I would recommend.
