The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely committed to fitness. I've learned proper form, improved my posture, and built strength I didn't know I had. When I first started lifting, I was wobbly and off-balance - like Bambi. Now, I feel confident and powerful. I've also gained a much better understanding of how important nutrition is. This is hands down the best gym I've ever been to, and I'm so glad I found it. Shout out to the trainer Alexis who has been so patient with me and cheered me on since day one. She's so motivational. She always has such a warm and positive spirit about her. I don't know how she does it with her super early morning classes lol She is truly a gem. Out of all trainers I have ever had she is the one that has inspired me the most to know that it's possible and I can do it. The proof is there! I've done DEXA scans along the way and I've continuously cut fat and gained muscle.

The small group training format makes a huge difference: the coaches genuinely care about your progress, and you feel like you're getting stronger together. Their approach is refreshingly balanced, no pressure to train every single day. They encourage consistency with a realistic 3x-a-week cadence that's sustainable and actually delivers results. One of the biggest standouts is their incredible nutritionist, Celia. She's knowledgeable, encouraging, and keeps things flexible and realistic, no rigid plans or extreme restrictions. Plus, because she's also a trainer at the gym, she understands the full picture of your training and can tailor her guidance accordingly. I've worked with several nutritionists in the past and Celia is by far the best. Lift Society even throws in the occasional social outing, which makes it feel more like a community than just a gym. It's honestly one of the hardest things to leave behind as I move from LA to Brooklyn.

Shannon is great at providing different accommodations based off skill level and/or injury. Kris is super motivating and is super helpful in guiding you when you're working out on the bench press. Bonus is that Sydney makes an appearance occasionally (Kris's dog) lol My schedule has stopped me from going back the last month, but the atmosphere and the regulars who show up on Sundays are calling my name. It is the first gym where I felt comfortable at and actually felt that the staff cared about achieving your goals. What attracted to me at first was that they specialize on people who are over 40 (I am 57) which was perfect for me. I feel I have learned about my needs and this padawan can now go work out on his own. Thank you Kris and my trainer - Chuck. It was truly an amazing experience and in time I want to return to brush up on my training after I fly on my own. Highly recommended.

Nancy completely removed that anxiety. She is a brilliant Tier 3+ trainer who understands exactly how to safely rebuild a body after treatment. She listens intently to how I am feeling each day, expertly scaling the weights and focusing on form so I can regain my muscle mass and bone density without burning out. Under her guidance, lifting has gone from a source of anxiety to a deeply empowering, therapeutic part of my week. The Culver City club itself is immaculate and pristine, which provides massive peace of mind when you are focusing on immune health. If you are navigating life after a major health battle and want a trainer who blends elite technical knowledge with profound empathy and safety, I cannot recommend Nancy enough. She helped me reclaim my strength.

Before signing up, I specifically asked about early morning opening hours since I really enjoy working out in the mornings, and that ended up being a great fit for me. Big thanks to Dariana from the sales team, always friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. I ended up canceling my membership after relocating, but I stayed a little over a year and had a very solid experience overall. The cardio classes were especially great, shoutout to Berbard, those sessions were no joke What I liked most is that it feels more like a lifestyle club than just a gym. The space is very clean, the vibe is upscale but comfortable, and if you avoid peak hours, you can finish your workout without waiting for equipment. The only minor downside is that some overly chatty members tend to camp on machines, so you have to be a bit patient at times. Overall, it was a really good experience, and I would definitely consider Equinox again if the location made sense for me.

Before joining, I had no idea what I was doing, was very sedentary, and felt really intimidated by gyms. This place completely changed that for me and broke me out of my shell. All you have to do is show up, listen to the coaches, and do what they tell you to do. They guide you through your workouts & nutrition, track your progress, check in on you, celebrate your wins, and really pay attention to how you're doing. The results have been amazing! I'm not even the most consistent person and I've still seen a huge difference in my strength, endurance, and confidence. The environment is also unlike any other gym I've been to. It's extremely welcoming and encouraging with people of all ages, disabilities, fitness levels, and walks of life. Nobody makes you feel intimidated or embarrassed for being inexperienced. Even though the workouts are in a group setting, the coaches really pay attention to every person and adjust things when needed. Siavash and the entire coaching team are amazing. Every coach there, especially Errol, Perry, Marquis, and Peter, is so good at what they do. They all push you to do your best and you can tell they genuinely care about their work and the people they train. I literally recommend this gym to everyone I know. Also, the parking situation is a bit of a hellscape in the morning, since it's valet and cars are parked in tandem due to limited space.

I entered the locker room, left my shoes next to my locker, and went to the sauna. When I returned, the shoes were gone. I have attached a photo of the shoes for identification. I would appreciate it if you could also inform your members that anyone who witnessed anything or has information regarding the incident should report it to the front desk. I am formally requesting that management investigate this incident and review all available security camera footage from the relevant time period, particularly footage covering entrances, exits, hallways, and other areas surrounding the men's locker room. I also strongly recommend that the staff receive appropriate training on how to respond to reports of theft. When I informed the front desk employees about what had happened, I was very disappointed by their response. I was left with the impression that they did not take the incident seriously and were largely indifferent to the situation. This was extremely frustrating and inappropriate given the circumstances. I have already filed a police report. I expect that the police may contact your facility within approximately one week regarding this incident. Please preserve any relevant surveillance footage from September 22 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM so that it is available for review and can be provided to law enforcement if requested. I am asking management to resolve this matter appropriately. I propose that the gym either reimburse me for the cost of the stolen shoes or provide a comparable pair of original-quality tennis shoes. If this matter is not addressed appropriately, I intend to share my experience through reviews on relevant platforms and inform other members about what happened, including both the theft and the response I received from the front desk staff. This situation is extremely unpleasant, and I am particularly disappointed by the way it was handled after I reported it. I would appreciate a prompt response from management regarding the investigation and how you intend to address this matter. UPDATE! WARNING! THESE DAYS, THIS GYM IS NOT A SAFE PLACE FOR YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS! Things are literally being stolen inside this gym, and the staff simply does not care. They act as if this situation is completely normal. After my belongings were stolen, I left a note at the front desk asking the manager to call me. The staff assured me that the manager would look into the situation and contact me. Nobody ever called. Two days later, I called the gym myself and asked the manager to investigate what happened. Again, nobody did anything. Four days after the theft, I came back to the gym, asked whether there were any updates, and requested to speak with the manager. A Black man came out, introduced himself as the manager, and told me that if my belongings were stolen at the gym, it was my responsibility and that they did not care. I was extremely surprised by this response because they had done absolutely nothing: no announcements over the PA system, no apparent review of security cameras, and no meaningful attempt to address the situation. When I asked why this was happening and whether they considered it normal that the gym currently feels unsafe because there are apparently thieves among the people using the facility, I received no meaningful response. Shame on the management of this gym! On top of this, management has failed to address two other major ongoing problems: the parking situation and the constant bad smell in the free-weight area. A competent manager could at least take meaningful steps to address these issues, yet this management team appears to do nothing and simply smiles when members raise concerns. In my opinion, a location like this deserves qualified, professional employees who take members' concerns seriously. Instead, the current management is damaging the reputation and rating of this gym day after day, while apparently asking people they know to leave positive reviews. Members should be aware of the situation and take extra precautions with their personal belongings.
