Bryce recently finished a two-week project at my house, and wow! What a rare find he is! Since…read moremoving to the desert, it has been incredibly challenging to find someone responsive, reliable, and competent. Bryce is all of that and much more. He was on time every day and brought a great attitude, a fabulous work ethic, and a keen eye for detail. My home looks fantastic with new baseboards, door hardware, old wall speakers and pet door removed, etc. The baseboards were not straightforward at all (embedded in the Saltillo tile), but he persevered and did it beautifully. In the process, he noticed evidence of an ongoing leak in a wall that I had been unaware of and took care of it! Needless to say, if that had gone unchecked, I would be dealing with a huge issue down the road. If you are looking for a quality handyman you can trust unequivocally, look no further! Also, his wife, Jeanine, was such a pleasure to work with!

I found Eric here on yelp and he absolutely exceeded my expectations. I recently moved into the old…read morehistoric Ocotillo Lodge that was built in the late 1950s. My most major concern was the very small standard closet that you would find in hotel rooms. it would be my primary closet for my clothing along with other items. I was moving from a walk-in closet that I had had for 20 years.and was concerned that I wouldn't be able to use this closet effectively. There were also very old lighting fixtures that needed to be taken down and new ones hung. At the end of the project that was done in a timely fashion he was able to give me a closet that was able to fit all of my clothing minus some extra large coats. He also hung really beautiful closet doors with frosted glass that added a very sophisticated touch to it. i'm still not exactly sure how I got all of it in there but I'm sure it had to do with some genius organizers that he built into the closet along with extra pole space. Amazing! The lighting fixtures were also done perfectly and overall, I am very pleased with his work. The one thing that you can count on when you buy a old vintage place like this is that all of the work that needs to be done will probably run into difficulties because of the outdated nature of many things as well as increased cost in time. he handled these roadblock quite effectively and professionally without breaking my bank for sure. i will absolutely use eric again.

The project took longer than anticipated to no fault of Hughes. I kept adding more things to be done along the way. Often when doing repairs or remodel on a home it is discovered that more needs to be done than anticipated. Jason was sent out to do the job. Hughes along the way described Jason as an artist which he really is. He was very detailed. There was no complaints from either Hughes or Jason about the job getting bigger and bigger . Hughes came by where I work to discuss the job in detail early on which shows me he cares and that goes a long way. I felt Hughes was very fair with the pricing of the job considering how it grew. The work was very well done. I highly recommended Hughes Home Services. Thanks for everything .

This is a review for ONLY my first impression phone call with Mike Goldman (owner) that I had…read moretoday; I will update if we decide to move forward with his company. I sent a written request for a quote through Yelp to several general contractors for a lot of work we will be doing on a new home in PS. His assistant proactively called me and connected me to Mike on the phone, so I did not have to reach out myself. Most other companies wrote back, "Yeah, I can do the work. Call me." eh. Nothing really wrong with that, but if I wanted to call, I would have and if you want the business...make it happen. I respect that they reached out to me, making it easier on me. What I appreciated from today's call is: *his VERY down to earth demeanor; I could see getting along with Mike very easily. *Mike took close to thirty minutes of his time to talk me through his style, and giving me specific ideas he would suggest for the remodel just based off the pictures from the property listing I sent. Awesome and appreciated. This gives me a chance to see how his mind works and if we would be a good match for such a large job. This got his foot in the door and made me decide to get a rough quote from him, which I am only doing with three total companies. *He stressed two things that he specifically addresses which are a notorious problem in this industry - (1) he is value conscious, suggesting alternatives to what you want to do so YOU can choose what you want to spend and where you may want to save....AND (2) he stays to the budget you give him probably more than his customers do. These are invaluable things to consider as he is promising to be done when says he will and on budget. HUGE. His work has been on TV shows and has many jobs being done simultaneously - all due to word of mouth, no real advertising. Other thing to note is he doesn't do pools, but will refer you to a few people that are good that he has worked with before. I am getting three total quotes, including from Mike, and ...so far, I am impressed.
