These towns along Rt. 66, get visitors from all over the world, especially now, with the 100 year anniversary. The Rt. 66 Welcome center could improve by having someone who is pleasant, and helpful, to provide information about Tucumcari, so travelers can plan their time there. So, skip this place, if you're looking for souvenirs. Some of the restaurants (like Del's) and the vintage motels have gift items that they sell. Or, try the Curio shop across the street.

Well, it turns out that three is a charm and I actually remembered to checkin to this location. I think I was in awe at my first couple of Buc-ee's that it slipped my mind. This location is similar to the other locations I've been too. It is huge, has everything you need, and the restrooms are top notch. I was able to score my first Buc-ee's T-shirt. It is a quality shirt and the cotton is super soft! What friendly Alabama employees here! It was my first time visiting Alabama and next time maybe I'll stay on the beach road and take Buc-ee with me to the beach!
