I was also pleasantly surprised that they brought me the left over fabric, from my re-upholstery job. It is not too much, but it is enough for me to take right back to them, and order a few small accent pillows to match the daybed. (Which I plan to do soon.) They could have discarded the fabric or made pillows to sell in their shop, and I would never have known the difference. The honesty meant a lot to me. And speaking of fabric ... they have zillions of beautiful choices, in all price ranges. They were very patient with me and I am a person who does thorough research and takes her time, before I finally make a decision. I will admit a lot of places would have likely become annoyed or frustrated with me, for taking so much time and visiting the showroom to look through samples, over and over and over again, requesting pricing. But they were very kind and pleasant and willing to check pricing for me on many fabrics, many times. I also felt they charged a very fair price, especially considering the craftsmanship and turn around time and their willingness to do the pick up and drop off. The turn around time was so much faster than I expected. It was the holidays and I had to request they hold the daybed a few extra weeks for me, due to my extra traveling and holiday activities. True to form, they were very accommodating and understanding. If you find this review, consider yourself DONE looking for a quality re-upholstery business. 5 Star Custom Upholstery has earned a customer for life, in me. I sent in photos to Bud and got a quote, brought him my 2 seats and my boat feels like new again and will not be embarrassed out with our friends this summer. They seemed very knowledgable and professional. I was told the turnaround would be 2-3 weeks. I put down a deposit and then a storm delayed the pickup. I, of course, understand that weather is out of everyone's control and will cause delays. in NC storms are rarely even a week long event. But 3 weeks later my furniture had still not been picked up. I contacted the company and was told they could pick it up in a few days, would give me $100 off the price and would turn it around in 2 weeks. I explained that I was moving in 5 weeks, so I would need them to commit to the 2 weeks. I waited another week before the pieces were finally picked up. I immediately got a bill for the balance and there was no $100 credit. 3 weeks later I contacted them again to confirm the delivery and was told they needed a few more days, which I agreed to. then a week later I called and told them I needed the pieces in 4 days. there was no apology but they said they would commit to deliver the pieces the day of my move in the morning. they did not deliver until 4:00 pm. I immediately got a bill for the full amount due, no $100 discount again and a charge for replacing 5 pieces of wood which they did NOT replace. I am, of course quite disappointed in the lack of honesty, commitment and professionalism. The work itself was ok, but well below my expectations. I would not use them, if I were you
