However, in 2018 I noticed a dip in the floor around the refrigerator. I made calls to companies who had originally done the foundation and insulation work, with no response. I reached out to several other contractors that worked in my area. They either did not show up or told me to just keep an eye on the problem. Then I got in touch with J&M Remodeling. One of the owners, Jeff Braswell, came to review the issues. Jeff was very professional from the start. After a thorough assessment he had some not so good news. The prior work that was done was only to cover up rotten foundation beams. Insulation was sprayed over rotten beams. I had paid to just have problems covered up not repaired. It was an expensive lesson, but I feel so fortunate to have found Jeff and his team do the repairs. The floor and foundation had to be replaced. Once they started, they found several other issues that he suggested we take care of before they would become a problem, which I agreed. Walls and studs needed to be replaced. Their knowledge, professionalism and craftsmanship amazed me. But it was more than that, that impressed me. They all went out of their way and added special touches to put this project over the top. They moved light switches to more convenient heights, they painted areas of the house they didn't even work in to make sure everything matched and blended in. Everything was seamless. My house was cleaner after they finished that it ever was before the remodel. As a senior citizen, I need people and companies I can rely upon. I feel as if that is what I found in J&M Remodeling. S & S was the only company that brought out subcontractors with him to get the most accurate quote possible. My husband and I appreciated the attention to detail when making the estimate because it gave us a better sense of what to expect. We ended up using S & S and haven't regretted the decision since. I met with Ruth to get a bid on having our 4 bdrm guesthouse cleaned that we rent on Airbnb. Our…read morestandards are very high and our ratings on airbnb have been VERY good because of our normal cleaning protocol. We only contacted this cleaning company because we have been so busy this summer and wanted a back-up. We asked for references several times with no result. I could kick myself for not looking them up on yelp but it's ok. we are One and Done with them. Two of their people showed up and spent two hours doing normal housekeeping work. Vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and making beds and cleaning up the kitchen. For the most part, the bathrooms were fine and the beds were made. Peggy did a great job on the kitchen and did great getting our glass top stove cleaned. My beef is that they did not complete the first floor by any stretch. There was hair and dirt and food under the dining room table and the porch had not been swept at all.There was dirt in the living room and clumps of hair around the trim at the bottom of the steps. They "finished" the job and left and we had guests checking in within the hour. When I actually walked through to inspect their work, I discovered the mess under the dining room table and also the porch floor. As I continued through the house I discovered that the carpet on the steps going upstairs had not been vacuumed. They left an empty bottle that was underneath the master bed as well. I had to vacuum the first floor and the porch, which I literally finished as our guests were arriving. I have attached pictures of what was in my shark vacuum bagless tank after I vacuumed. Also, when I received the bill on email it was for $10 more than we had agreed upon. Anyway, needless to say, we will never use this company again and we recommend asking for and getting referrals from them before you hire them.

I asked Jeff if needed to be there when they clean and stain my decks, and he said no didn't have to be there. They told me the job was done. I have used them in the past so sent them a check for the work. When I was finished with my cancer treatments I went and checked out the job. It was the worst job I had ever seen, I paid for cleaning and two coats of stain brushed on and what I got was a bad or no cleaning job and one coat rolled on it looked horrible. I called Jeff and told him what I saw and he told me he would make it right in the spring of 2021 as he has already winterized his washer. I called him in the spring and all I got was excuses why he couldn't do it over. Now he just ignores my calls and won't call me back.
