I had already made two trips due to their limited office hours. I also was suppose to get a gel injection. They don't want to go through insurance they want you to fill out a form and a unknown company will call you request your credit card information. Once paid they will send the medicine to the office. You then have to make another appointment each of which cost you more money. If you have money to burn then you should go to this office. After 3 weeks attempting to get medical care from this office I decided to go somewhere else who values their patience.

In the early 2000's I was airlifted my local hospital, where they wheel into the hospital Emergency w/Barely my life. Care flight had brought me in from a very near fatal car accident, involving a semi-truck and my Suv. The auto accident was very serious. I was thrown out of the vehicle across 4 lanes of highway on to the cement. I was in terrible shape. Dr. DiCicco from Orthopedic Associates of SW Ohio was there in the ER. He was also in charge of the 'Trauma Team' at Miami Valley Hospital. He was amazing. I truly feel my huge progress and recovery (considering what I have been through) is all due to this man and of course God. I have been told many many times by a number of medical professionals that people do not live being thrown from a car onto the highway. Dr. Dicicco treated me for 4 yrs after my accident until I moved to Tennessee. He is very compassionate. He has never allowed the length of time that he has been a doctor ever get to his head. He seems to never let the fact he has seen it all (many traumatic injuries) over the years to become too comfortable. He never treats his patients as if he is going through the motions. He truly seems to understand the pain the patients are going through. I will never forget some yrs later I was in another hospital preparing for surgery for something completely unrelated to the initial auto accident. I was so nervous that my blood pressure was sky-rocketing so much so, that the dr there said: " if we cannot get you calmed down we cannot do the surgery". I saw Dr. Dicicco pass through the pre-op room. I had No idea he even was associated with this other hospital I was having surgery in. It was like an angel and I'm not kidding. I said hey Dr. Dicicco what are you doing here? He said "working, What are you doing here"? ha ha I was in pre-op lol I told him about the pending surgery I was about to head into and explained how very nervous I was. He talked w/ my tending doctor, then came back and took the time to totally calm me down. This particular surgery wasn't even his, but I had been in his care many many times. Dr. Dicicco had the right words and held my hand and explained what they were going to do. He did not even have to take the time to do this. I calmed down completely and had the surgery. It was a success. I have recommended Dr. Dicicco many times to friends and family since. In Fact, Dr. Dicicco also did my mother's double knee replacements.This Dr. Dicicco impressed me so much that years later, remembering how great he was with me and that I miss his caring attitude, that I've looked him up to see how he is progressing. This is where found I could give him a review on his page. I knew I must tell my stories of this amazing doctor. If you have him, don't expect sugar coating. This he won't do. He is straightforward and Honest, but he truly cares about his patients. If you're in his care Know you have the best. My husband had a great experience with…read moreDr. Steimle for both knee replacements, so I expected to be in good hands for my partial meniscectomy. Unfortunately, poor communication has consistently derailed my recovery. **Nerve complication:** I developed a rare nerve injury from the pre-surgery nerve block, causing excruciating nerve pain in my right foot that at first shot all the way up my right leg. In the days following surgery, I visited the ED once and called the on-call physician twice about the pain. The second call was particularly discouraging -- before I could finish a sentence, Dr. Matt Heckler interrupted me and said in a scolding tone, "Look, you either need to go to the emergency room, or you need to just CHILL. I can't diagnose you over the phone!" The nerve pain has persisted since surgery. Again, the nerve complication itself is not Dr. Steimle's fault -- but Dr. Heckler's response to it made me feel like he thought I was just being "dramatic" in reaction to "normal" post-surgical pain, when there was nothing "normal" about it. **PT referral:** I expected to start PT the week after surgery. Instead, either the referral was never sent or never went through. I only found out at my 3-week follow-up, when the assistant resent it -- and we still had to follow up with the PT clinic directly to confirm they'd received it (they hadn't). I started PT roughly 5 weeks into what should have been a 6- to 8-week recovery window. **PT attendance and the office manager:** I have coexisting health conditions (IBS and a medication with unpredictable GI side effects) that forced several cancellations. One week, I left a single voicemail canceling both Monday and Wednesday appointments specifically to avoid a last-minute cancellation on Wednesday. PT marked Wednesday as a no-show anyway. When the office manager called, she implied twice that I was lying -- once about leaving the Wednesday cancellation voicemail, and again when she insisted I'd been given a direct phone number to PT at my first appointment. I had not. My appointment printout listed the main office number she'd just told me I was wrong to call. ‍ **In-home PT referral:** Given my health situation, in-home PT made far more sense. Besides, I didn't appreciate the way the PT clinic office manager treated me, so I cancelled clinic PT, and requested a referral to in-home PT on January 25 by voicemail and through the Healow portal. No response until I sent another message on February 3 -- when the assistant replied that she'd send the referral, though she found it "unnecessary." It was apparently never sent. As of March 6, the home health agency had no record of receiving anything. After another message, I finally got confirmation today (March 11) that the referral went through today. I start in-home PT tomorrow -- over three months after surgery. My knee currently hurts worse than it did before the procedure. I sincerely hope the delay hasn't caused lasting harm.

Dr Paley came in for about 20 seconds, went to check my X-ray, came back and said to ice and elevate my foot and I can walk on it. I replied that I could not put weight on my foot and he did not seem to even care and said I could get a boot or crutch if I think I need it. He was the most dismissive doctor I have ever seen. When I requested test results be faxed to a new doc and a disk with my MRI results be sent to me, the doc did not get the report and I did not get the disk despite being told the disk was mailed first class.
