The owner was so pleasant, walked us through the property when we arrived and made sure he or another staff member was available for us at all times. The property is completely surrounded by beautiful palm trees and gardens that kept us secluded and allowed us to enjoy ourselves without disrupting the neighborhood. It definitely felt like home. Our kids could run around and play while we hung out. They have an entire arcade room and any activity you could imagine. Mini golf, ping pong, basketball, and indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and two full bar and grill areas! If you have a chance to stay at a full furnished rental near the strip instead of a hotel casino, DO IT! I swear it is so much more enjoyable!

The owner and…read morestaff were communicative, helpful and led us though a great history of the home and where to find everything we needed including how to turn on all the games, stereo, lighting, and temperature controls. We ended up nicknaming this place the Oasis because it was an actual Oasis away from the bustle of the strip but still close enough to easily allow us a 5-10 minute ride to any place we might wish to go. The home provided ample and comfortable accommodation for our large group of 13. The incredible living space was roomy and spread out, with the most comfortable couch ever and the expansiveness of the property allowed our family to seek privacy when needed and come together for meals, fun and activity. The kitchen was well stocked with absolutely every thing we needed. Dozens of clean towels were ready for use by the pool. Every bed was comfortable with multiple pillow firmness styles for satisfying sleep. Multiple lounge areas, a large dining table to sit everyone for meals or games, pool table and game room for the kids and the pool was heated to perfect temperature. We absolutely loved this property and the management of the property staff and owner was top notch. HIGHLY recommend for anyone traveling with large family, friend or corporate groups. You would be hard pressed to find a better spot with everything you need so close at hand.

I'd look elsewhere if the price were higher given the age of the property and the road noise. Pros: We enjoyed the space and off-strip location at a fantastic price in Feb. We had a 2 bedroom which felt like an apartment complete with living room, dining table and full kitchen. We appreciated the living room sofa and TV and ample space to relax. Its only about 10 minutes from major strip properties if traffic is light which is great. Cons: Decatur Ave is a divided street so you can only turn right out of the parking lot so it can be difficult to access (you always need to make u-turns etc). I am a light sleeper and was bothered by the loud road noise of random motorcycles or cars racing by. The units look 15ish years old and show wear in a number of places.

It's not Caesars Palace, but it's also not priced like it either. The property feels safe with a gate that keeps randoms out, and there's plenty of free parking. The gym is surprisingly awesome with treadmills, bikes, dumbbells, etc., and TVs. It can feel a little tight if more than four people are in there, but the equipment is perfect. The game room has a pool table, foosball, checkers, books, and a TV. There are also two pool areas, one for kids and one for adults. My place was clean. No bugs and nothing sketchy. Bed was fine. Didn't love the pillows but no real issue. Basically, you're getting a one bedroom apartment with a full-size fridge, oven, sink, dishwasher, pots and pans, toaster, etc.. You could actually cook a full Thanksgiving dinner here. It has that typical hotel smell, but it's solid and adequately kept. And the staff was friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant stay! I'd happily stay here again.

I combed through the ad and confirmation emails and texts...it says NOTHING about these. I contacted the hotel again. They said I must take it up with the agency/site purchased on. Classic. What does the agency say? Take it up with the hotel! So, we attempt to just cancel the room bc we aren't going to pay hidden charges (illegal much?). Am I able to? NO! There is NO option to, and when I contact them, again, it's the same fiasco. Also, the hotel name was The Yellow Penthouse, LLC, in Las Vegas Nevada. AGODA.com is the travel site.

It is great for homeless people who can afford a night indoors. Checking in is difficult with the Manager living across the street with the most annoying little dogs who bark non stop. I had to yell out the window a few times to shut them up. They still bark away. They ask for a $100 deposit after you book online and will run your card at your room. The rooms are very small with a single bed and a cheap frame that moves. It will not stay close to the wall so be aware of this. Also you share a bathroom with many other people so you may have to wait awhile. There is no toilet paper in the bathroom so remember to bring your own in the room. go figure. The walls are thin so you hear every little noise and the doors bang shit at all hours. I had a cleaning person enter my room while I was naked on the bed. So between the Manager coming to your door for a deposit, barking dog, staff entering your room was a little to much and I had to check out early and find a normal hotel. If you're strapped for money then this will be an experience for 1 night. Again this is not a hotel but a house that has a lot of rooms they rent out cheap. I just didn't feel safe especially at night. It has a fancy name and that;s about it. I appreciate the manager trying to be proactive on my complaints and checking me out. It's just unfortunate that my stay wasn't the best.

It seems as though their renovations have been completed. If you stayed here when it was the Mandarin Oriental, you will remember you had to go to the 3rd floor to check-in. WA kept that process until the most recent reno. You now checkin upon entry, like most places, however, you still go to the 3rd floor to access the guest room elevators and restaurant. I really love all the new touches and also enjoy the touches they kept from the previous franchise. The check-in staff was above and beyond friendly and looked for ways to make sure you would best enjoy your stay. After a long drive and plane ride, it's nice to chat with people who are genuinely engaged in getting to know about your stay. We had made reservations for spa treatments for after we are arrived and we thoroughly enjoyed that time. I would go as far as to say the WA spa is one of the best spas on the strip. Fabulous. The WA is a wonderful strip hotel in a great space and a lot of convenience in and around.

Staff was professional and the atmosphere is much calmer compared to most casino hotels in Las Vegas, which can actually be a big plus if you want a more relaxed environment. One important thing to know - if your room is on a lower floor, don't expect much of a view. Some lower-floor rooms face the back side of nearby buildings and the experience is completely different compared to the higher floors. I would strongly recommend asking for a higher floor upgrade if possible, because the views are significantly better and really change the overall impression of the hotel. The fact that the hotel is non-casino is actually nice and makes the property feel more peaceful and less chaotic than many Vegas resorts. Overall, a good hotel, but room location and floor level make a huge difference here.

When choosing…read moreaccommodations, I spend considerable amounts of time combing through listings, to ensure that maximum relaxation is achieved. Stumbling upon Max and Corrine's oasis just outside of Las Vegas made our trip absolutely perfect. Upon arrival, we discovered a welcome note, wishing me a Happy Birthday, along with guides explaining the amenities on the property. On the coffee bar, there was a beautiful display of granola bars and sea salt chocolate. In the mini fridge were several bottles of water, which was so greatly appreciated after a 15 hour travel day. There were two arm chairs at the foot of the bed, with throw pillows, waiting to invite you to take your shoes off and relax for a few moments. On the bed were two of the fluffiest bathrobes, just asking to be worn out onto the patio. Two luxurious Turkish style bath towels were on the bed next to the robes. The bed was the softest, most enveloping cloud, which allowed for a restful sleep each night. The cabinets were stocked with everything you could possibly need while on vacation in Las Vegas. Ample closet space was provided, perfect for unpacking our giant suitcases to get the wrinkles out of our clothes. The slate shower is warm, the water pressure perfect, with a rain shower head, as well as the standard shower head. The double vessel sinks allowed for my husband and I to get ready in tandem each morning and afternoon. (Sorry about the glitter, Max!) Speaking of clothes, none will be needed at this humble abode. The entire property is clothing optional, wear as little or as much as you would like. It was a judgement free zone, a welcome reprieve from the societal pressures of the day to day back home. The pool was crisp, clean, and refreshing after a day spent on the strip. (I can't lie, I was in the pool before we left for the day as well!) The hot tub was warm, clean, and relaxing. Max was kind enough to provide cold bottles of water each day in a little cooler on the patio, which he refilled repeatedly for us!! He is quick to deliver espresso and breakfast treats, which I highly suggest accepting! I would also like to thank him, from the bottom of my heart, for coordinating a beautiful birthday morning surprise with my husband. I woke up to flowers, a breakfast tray, espresso, and coffee. It was truly magnificent. This property is meticulously maintained, with each plant being hand chosen, groomed, and arranged to add to the magic of this place. It's clear that this is a labor of love for this sweet couple, who I now call friends.

Staying at South Point for my 4th annual birthday trip to Vegas is one of the best decisions I've…read moreever made. It was my best trip ever! I really enjoyed the people, the atmosphere, the variety of things to do, and the lower prices on everything from drinks to the fancier restaurants. South Point has plenty to offer like: a $5 craps table, race book, sports book, bingo, 64 lane bowling alley, multi-screen movie theater, lounge shows, an arcade, an arena where they hold equestrian and rodeo type events, bars/lounges with reasonably priced drinks, and more. Those entertainment and dining opportunities attract quite a few families with young children who come to enjoy the day. That is something that I've never seen in a casino. Easter Sunday parents and their children were all dressed up and waiting to be seated at the Garden Buffet. South Point truly is a family friendly place. The reason why I chose Las Vegas for these annual trips is because I love playing poker tournaments. On previous trips I've stayed on the Strip and would travel to South Point for one or two. Due to the friendly and welcoming staff, large attractive poker room, plentiful cocktail waitresses, and nice players this has always been my favorite place to play. Seven days a week South Point has one every four hours from 10:10am - 10:10pm. The entry fee for all but four of them is just $120. So this year reversed gears, and played seven of my nine tourneys right here, and had a ball. I even got to play Crazy Pineapple for the first time ever. :-) Thank you to all the dealers in the poker room for helping to make the games so enjoyable. To those at the race book for helping me learn how to work the monitors at the seats. Those at the $5 craps table for patiently reminding me of how much I can bet for the odds. As well as the very friendly waitstaff at the Garden Buffet and Coronado Cafe. I truly appreciated everything you did to help me. :-) I guarantee that you'll have a great time, for a day or a stay, at South Point. :-)

(*Original plans were for a theme park vacation in Southern California, but gas prices are crazy in Cali. Due to the Iran war. And probably illegal tariffs.) First, we checked out Red Rock Station and Durango, but nope, those single night prices were $$$. Seriously, wowza. Keep in mind, this would be for two nights. We were thinking of the M Resort and the South Point Hotel. So, we checked on pricing, and the South Point was a Win for us. Plus, there are a lot of restaurants that I prefer and like, as compared to the Stations properties. (The Spa and the Fitness Center are undergoing Renovations.) So we finally did it. We had a staycation here. It was very nice. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was exuding a spa-like atmosphere. (Since many of the past hotel stays were CA theme-park related, that's my frame of reference.) We spoke to many visitors and one of them said it's much nicer than The Orleans. The room smelled very nice, a pleasant floral scent. It happens everywhere, the door slamming by other guests was annoying. The chair leg scraping was also noisy. Being honest. Restaurants we visited: Steak & Shake, Garden Buffet, Coronado Cafe, Big Sur Oyster Bar, Del Mar Deli, & Starbucks. Portion sizes are pretty large. Details for each restaurant will be a separate review. We also went to Bowling- opens at 7 am, the Pool/ hot tub- opens at 10 am, the movie theater- we watched a movie, and both gift shops. There was a Bowling - Womens Championships event and a Rodeo event. It was very busy. Many staff members we met were very nice. Final thoughts: we would do a staycation again here at this Property. Highly recommend this property.
