Catara traveled to PA for our wedding, and kept in contact with us prior to the day, outlining the day and making sure she knew exactly what pictures we wanted and the style of photos that we were looking for. Catara has a great eye for setting up shots so that they're not too "formal", but more of a photo jounalistic style. Her husband was with my fiance & his groomsmen during the day, and Catara was with me, so it was great to see the pictures of my husband and groomsmen getting ready. Catara and her husband were very easy going, and during the "formal" pictures, she had great ideas for poses and settings. She also made us laugh during these pictures, which made for some wonderful shots. She kept us on track and reminded me after some of the family photos to make sure that we had some special shots of just my husband and I. We had enough time to enjoy ourselves and not feel rushed, so I was pleased that she kept her eye on the clock and reminded me to take that time for those pictures. Catara also made my children (ages 3 & 8) feel extremely comfortable. She took some wonderful shots of my 3 year old blowing bubbles as he & I waited in the bride's room, he didn't even realize that his picture was being taken and he was just enjoying himself. Prepaid in full, buy one get one free session, plus makeup July 2021. I bought the gold portrait…read morepackage. Due to weather, we had to reschedule couple times. Photo session on 10/06/2021. I spent so much money and time preparing for the photo session: $90 nails (has to redo twice), $35 balloons, $15 crown, $65 makeup, $500 sessions, $160 for two outfits (I spent 3.5 weeks sewing the white one, I asked for the back to be captured during the session), spent time tanning, doing my hair, etc. Makeup was fine, and even the photo session seemed okay. When I got my pictures 3 weeks later, they were awful. Very pixelated, blurry, and super dark. I took time to download the pictures onto my smart phone and laptop. I didn't want to jump to conclusions. My friends even asked to download the pictures to see for themselves. My friends said that they wouldn't know it's me if they looked at the pictures on their own. I told the photographer, Amber, about it and she provided absolutely no solutions and just said she doesn't know what the deal is. I asked her if I could get the pictures on a thumb drive, but three weeks later and still nothing. I gave Amber two samples of pictures of what I wanted. I was not expecting it to be exact same as the photos, but similar. They weren't; they were blurry and they were extremely pixelated. Only one picture was 19MB (professional size); the rest were between 3-5MB (which is what my smart phone camera takes). I don't do birthday pictures every year, but I do try to have a good time and make my birthday special. I wasn't happy and I was super, extremely DISAPPOINTED. I can't get all the time and money back spent preparing for the photo session. I WILL NEVER WORK WITH AMBER EVER AGAIN. TWO MONTHS later and still no pictures that are CLEAR.
