The food puts them over the top. The cheddar burger is a tasty burger, but the fries. Oh these fries. They are so crispy, so salty, and almost pinched in the middle so they have a little curl. Their bottle list read like a beer lover's fantasy novel: Cantillon, 3 Fonteinen, Westvleteren. The best part, the prices! We got a demi-bottle of Cantillon beer for 13 euros. I realize this is normal for Europe, but in the States this would cost at least 50% more - if you could find it. There is a large patio out front (for the smokers), and plenty of seating indoors as well. The inside is kind of Euro-hipster, with a variety of interesting beer posters on the walls. Punto feels like a locals-only neighborhood bar, but I did run into another couple from California while waiting in line for the restroom (typical Americans). If you are looking to get away from the tourists in the Piazza Maggiore, I recommend having a drink at Punto. It is a delightful bar, located in a very "interesting" side of town.
