We went to Draape Kaffehus twice about a week apart and the coffee was really darn good. We each had cappuccinos at £3.32 each.
The Norwegian currency has devalued about 20% from last year as its currency is linked to oil/gas prices so it's good for tourists, for now in a volatile world where the only constant is change.
They have WiFi and clean restrooms. They also have free tap water so Starbucks Southampton England take note (they charged me for a plastic cup of tap water there in Summer 2022 - they marked the cup H2O and they later apologised but it broke my being loyal to the brand.)
On our first visit we sat at a cosy table and despite having lots of customers it was delightfully quiet.
It was a first for us here, as upon ordering I was told that the wait for two cappuccino was 15 minutes and I was handed one of those electronic buzzers that I've only been given on cruise ships before now.
The odd thing was that I was the only one at the counter ordering. Hey-ho we had nothing to do that day so we watched the world go by.
On our second visit it was another cosy table and cappuccino again. We were also handed the ubiquitous buzzer and waited about 20 minutes again.
This time we also shared a portion of tasty apple cake (more cake than apple) with ice cream and whipped cream. Certainly recommend this slow place. read more
