The work was done. However I asked for a quote before they started and they dodged the question. Stupidly I trusted them and they charged $150 per hour plus 40 dollars for each sprinkler they replaced. Please avoid these people as they are not up front about their prices and took advantage of our trust. read more

It looks like it's time for the first real review. One of the valves on the sprinkler system went bad. They were all 25 years old. We had them replace everything. They put in a manifold system I'm very happy with. They did a little work cleaning up the front sprinklers. The charge was fair, the work was excellent and they came the morning after I called them. I don't hand out 5 star reviews slavishly, but my experience was that good. read more

I had three sprinklers replaced by Dr. Sprinkler. They scheduled service within two weeks of my call and arrived on time. There were two people doing the work. They had the first two sprinklers done in about 20 minutes. I then had them do a quick check of all the stations and they found one more that they wanted to replace. They did not have any more sprinklers with them, so I told them where Home Depot was and they left to get the parts and replace it. I was a little shocked to get a bill for $600. They charged $45 per sprinkler when you can order a 4-pack for $48 online. They charged me for 4 man hours of labor at $72.50 per hour. The work quality was fine, but I should have asked for a quote up front, managed their time, and read these reviews first. read more

I wish i didn't have to give one star. I've had issues with this company for over a year. They don't show up when you are put on the schedule, they make excuses for when they don't show up. Twice I have been told they would give me a call back, yet I have yet to receive one. I regret doing business with them. read more

I'm not sure why the reviews on Yelp are so low. Reviews on Google are near 5 star, and deservedly so. Mike was able to solve and fix my sprinkler problems quickly. I would strongly recommend him for anyone looking for an expert. read more

I should have read the reviews prior to using Dr Sprinkler. I needed to have three sprinklers removed and capped, one sprinkler moved 2 feet away, and one sprinkler changed out to a spray instead of a jet, as well as replace a spigot in the garden that was leaking. They sent two young boys to do the job of one man. They looked at the job and then both boys left to go buy the spigot and sprinkler head and were gone for more than an hour (I was being charged for both boys being gone). They proceeded to tell me that I will need to replace a goose neck feature for $275 and the front connection from the main water line $750 before winter as he wiggles the goose neck in front of me. I tell them I can't afford that right now, pay them the $750 for 8 hours to replace or repair the above simple items. PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS FOR THIS COMPANY AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM. read more

Absolutely stay away from these people. They came to my house and told me that charged 65 dollars an hour and that my job would take an hour and a half. The owner/head guy gave me the estimate himself. 3 days later when he did the service( only my wife at home) he brought another worker with him who did virtually nothing but tell him when a sprinkler was on or not and helped dig some holes.. He was here, he claims for 5 hours( my wife said he came about 10:00 AM and left at 1 PM. but charged me for 10 hours ( because he had a worker with him) saying it was man hours not real hours. What I expected to be a 200 dollars job was almost 800 dollars. My wife paid him before I got home I would have challenged it then and there. STAY AWAY, guard your wallet. read more

Crazy expensive. It's $85 PER PERSON the send so watch out for that. My sprinkler system started having problems again weeks after they "fixed" it. read more

These guys are dishonest, deceitful and unprofessional. They make up the cost for parts and charge whatever they want after the work is complete. Stay away from this business. read more

Absolutely terrible. Very dishonest and really take advantage of you. The company as a whole doesn't know much about sprinklers especially for it to be their "profession." That being said, it took them 4 attempts to try and locate a leak that was causing my control boxes to flood. They spent 4 hours replacing the entire manifold because they didn't know where the leak was. It turns out that wasn't even the problem, the manifold was perfectly fine because I still had flooded control boxes! so I'm stuck with a $400 bill and my problem still exists and they wouldn't do anything about it. I had the same kid come out each one of the 4 times and he being probably 20 years old, didn't know entirely what he was doing and arrived late by three hours. Even had to borrow my shovel because the kid forgot his own shovel! Pass on these guys. You'll be glad you did. read more

They charged me over 360 bucks for a valve+installation and a broken line junction which I had already dug up. They never informed me about the inexperienced 16 year old "lackey" that tags along with the regular repair guy and charge 60+ per hour for each man. Very unclear about their service, what could've quickly been done in 1-2 man hours turned into 4. Don't go with them unless you really get clear with what they plan to do. Oh, and don't have them come out for a quote, then unexpectedly try to repair everything on the spot without informing you of the details. I won't be making the same mistake again, hopefully you don't either. read more

Changed the date several times, didn't even know what parts were required and then told me just to find someone else when I complained about being unprofessional. I would not recommend. read more

Fast and knowledgeable. They fit me into their schedule and arrived on time. They quickly assessed the issue and fixed it. Their prices are very reasonable and well worth it! read more

I was quoted 85$ an hour. Then after 21/2 hours was charged 400$. When i called to complain i was told they charge 85$ an hour per person they send out, but they never tell you how many people are going to show up. I felt they were purposely trying to deceive. Would NOT recommend. read more

These guys are great. I've used them a few times to take care of sprinkler repairs at a rental property. Always been punctual, stand by their work and charge fair prices. read more

To start they did not show up on time, I waited for over an hour before they even returned my phone call. They explained to me that the cost was $75 per hour. They did not explain it was $75 per man. With 2 men, my bill was over $400. 2.5 hours to replace a single valve. Save your money and call anyone else. read more

This company is bogus. If you are doing ANYTHING other than sprinkler repair... Do not use this company. We hired them to tear out some sod and move some sprinklers and do curbing. A week after he said it would be done the work began. Through a SUBCONTRACTOR. With many texts and promises but no shows. Then Dr sprinkler finally shows up to do his part of the job with his "crew" (who were actually his wife and 3 little daughters, not grown men to tear out sod with no sod cutter at almost dark) they lasted 20 minutes before he left and took his family home .. With again more promises that he'd be back .. I ultimately paid the subcontractor separately because he couldn't contact Dr. Sprinkler to get paid. And fired Dr. Sprinkler who claims to have spent 4 1/2 hours at 75$ per hour (was actually 30 minutes for the "free bid", a drive by for 10 minutes to meet the sub at my house, and about 20 minutes that he spent with HIS FAMILY "crew" trying to dig out sod.) And 50$ for supplies... And 30$ for the one wheelbarrow of sod he managed to dig up ... To haul off... None of this by the way was discussed ... Like his 75$ per hour .... Ridiculous... We tried to talk to him and reason... But ultimately he kept our 550$ we had paid him... And I paid his sub... Now I have to take him to small claims to get our money back. We have also called the "complaint" hotline for Dr.Sprinkler franchise and have not heard a word back. If I could rate NO STARS I would... read more

Called Dr Sprinkler to come and diagnose my sprinklers,it seemed to be a bad valve on one of my lines. Dr Sprinkler came and worked on my sprinklers the first time, they replaced all five valves and when they were finished- guess what none of my sprinklers worked and the repair guy wanted to be paid 255.00 and he had not fixed a thing. I told the repair guy that he needed to come back and fix my sprinklers. Dr Sprinkler came back with the owner and they worked on my sprinklers again - well today they found out that 3 of the valves the put in were wired wrong so the fix this problem, tried the sprinklers again and guess what ? The sprinklers didn't work for the second time They told me I could dig a trench from the front valve box to the valve box in the back yard to test the timing wire, they also said I could replace the control box in the garage. 60 .00 for a new control box and 85.00 for wire and guess what ? It didn't make a difference. I called another landscape company, I won't mention their name but they came out and within one hour they went through my sprinklers, they had to totally re-do all the work that Dr Sprinkler did. They had to replace all 5 valves, take a plastic retainer out of each valve in order to make the valve work This other company said that Dr. Sprinklers work appeared to be very lazy, very sloppy work, you don't leave a job unfinished and take the costumers money I will not nor could I give Dr Sprinkler a referral as a company that knows what they are doing They take your money up front and good luck if you get them back to finish the job right Dr Sprinkler you should send me a refund check for 70.00 to reimburse me for having to have another company come out and fix what you could not get fix twice. read more

If I could give them a 0 star review I would. Do NOT go with this sprinkler company! We needed a simple repair that should have only taken an hour and they charged us over 300 dollars. I would have done it myself, but I was out of town at the time. If you do go through these individuals get a CLEAR breakdown of what they are charging you for. Better yet do not have them fix anything. I do not know where they got there numbers, but I know I will never have them fix my sprinklers again or recommend them. read more

Avoid them at all cost. I waited four weeks for them to finish my sprinkler repairs and they never showed after multiple calls. They are really responsive initially, but never follow up. Worst experience I've had. Nice lady answers your calls, and that's it. No actual results. read more

Extremely unprofessional and unreliable! I contacted this company to locate a secondary valve box that had been buried. On my initial call, I asked if he had the location tool that tracks the wires under ground because the box was probably buried pretty deeply. The operator (Kerry, I believe), replied that he has only ever needed to use this tool once in all the years he has been doing this. We scheduled a time for him to come out. Sure enough, after 2 hours of listening, digging, guessing, and whatever else, he agreed he would probably need the location tool. He explained he would need to rent one because he didn't own one. This is where the experience went down hill fast. After supposedly reserving the device for an appointment, he never showed up and we had to reach out to him to ask what was going on. He explained that the company he was renting the tool from didn't end up having it available. We thought this was odd as typically a reservation prevents this sort of thing and we had waited a week since the first visit, ostensibly to wait for the device to be available per his reservation. We set another appointment for another week later and actually had to bow out of a family trip in order to accommodate this. Exact same result; he didn't show and we had to reach out to him to ask what was going on. He offered the same excuse about the rental company not having the device available. At this point I challenged this excuse as illogical considering most rental companies are capable of operating a reliable reservation system. The operator was very unsympathetic and didn't seem to want my business. My guess is he has lots of other jobs lined up to install systems which are a much higher margin. I completely understand, I just wish he would have been up front about it instead of stringing us along for 2 weeks. read more
