Despite being in the very early stages of healing, the doctor still provided a surgical quote and assessment. After this, I consulted with top rhinoplasty surgeons in Polanco, Mexico City, and Monterrey--each of whom emphasized that no evaluation or pricing should be given until at least one year post-op, in line with standard medical guidelines for revision rhinoplasty. The fact that this doctor proceeded with a quote of $14,000 USD anyway, knowing how recent my procedure was, shows a lack of professional judgment and feels more like a business move than a medically responsible one. I paid for a consultation expecting an expert opinion--not a premature estimate that goes against best practices. Very disappointing experience.

Next thing I knew I woke up and it was over with. Bed side manner isn't good either. No one came to check on me or change my bloody gauze. The first time I saw someone was for them to give me my meds and send me on my way. The results weren't good either, I still had a dorsal bump after, And ended up getting a revision rhinoplasty in my state. I didn't do as much research before hand as I should've. His patients range in age from very young to very not so young, and all of them truly satisfied with the level of care received. He is very well educated, with accreditations from the US as well as Mexico. He has 25+ years of experience, and he is truly gifted at what he does. His before and after pictures testify to his amazing talent, and the reviews by people who have actually had him as their doctor or surgeon all point to his skill and ability- and his genuine concern for his patients. He is humble and outstanding. If he were to relocate to the US, he could easily charge 10x his present rate, I would know. I researched US doctors for weeks before considering one in another country. Once I decided on going outside the US, I spent more weeks looking at surgeons literally all over the entire world. I got my passport and decided there was going to be no limits to how far I travelled. This was far too important a decision to take lightly. I looked into 'medical tourism' agencies as well as doctors who don't work with them. He was quickly put on my short list, and upon doing further research, in spite of all the bad press I read about Tijuana as a plastic surgery destination, he was just too well qualified, too amazingly talented, and too highly reviewed to settle for anyone else in the universe. Something funny about all his before and after pictures, that I didn't understand at first- all his before pictures, the people look SO happy they are beaming. That struck me as unusual at first, then I realized why everyone looks so happy. They knew Dr. Lumban was going to operate on them, and their lives were about to be changed in a massively positive way as a result.

I was referred to Dr. Carlos Jimenez by a friend and he was thorough. Used the fiber optic scope on me, collected a swab sample and viewed my CT scans that another doctor had ordered. (If I did not have existing CT scans I'm sure Dr. Jimenez would have ordered them.) Bottom line, the swab sample results came back and in conjunction with the CT Scans, Dr. Jimenez diagnosed and treated me. Finally, after seeing several ENT doctors! I would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Carlos Jimenez. My only issues: parking can be difficult and they only accept cash or check. No card machine available. Also, it is an older looking office, might want to update the interior. So, minus one star for all of these. Keep in mind, though, Dr. Jimenez got the job done!

Scheduling was able to fit me in quickly. Front office was very helpful and professional.
