From the initial booking all the way through my entire experience, the team at Dr. John Laura's practice was kind, personable, and genuinely caring, you can truly feel it the moment you walk in. I wanted to wait a few days before leaving this review for Elle, my treatment provider, because I really wanted to see my results. I went in for a BBL treatment to address moderate sun damage. Honestly, I wasn't expecting dramatic improvement since I've had these spots for a long time and have done IPL treatments before. Wow! I was completely blown away. Elle was incredibly kind and thorough. She asked thoughtful questions about my concerns and walked me through a clear, step-by-step treatment plan, without it ever feeling overwhelming. Her approach felt very much like "let's start here, see how your skin responds, and then build from there," which I truly appreciated. The treatment itself was surprisingly comfortable. Elle checked in with me several times, and at one point I almost asked her to turn it up being the control freak I am, but I trusted her expertise, and I'm so glad I did. I barely felt anything, and the results speak for themselves. The brown spots came up beautifully and flaked off, and my skin looks amazing. I'm beyond happy with the outcome. By the end of the appointment, I genuinely felt like Elle was one of my good friends, we should probably be going to brunch together. She even followed up afterward to make sure everything was going well, checked on my results, and helped me rebook a consultation to discuss next steps in my treatment plan. Amazing experience. Hands down, I would return, and I would absolutely refer anyone looking for great care and even better results. read more

As a seasoned esthetician I know what to look for when it comes to cleanliness of a spa or medical office, appropriate consultations and prices. Dr. John Laura's office is always beautiful, clean, and welcoming. My nurse, Elle, is absolutely incredible. I've been getting Botox for 8 years and when I found her a little over a year ago I knew she was going to be the only one I could fully trust. She walks me through the process of what I want before we get started so that I know exactly what's going to happen and I'm 100% comfortable. She's fast and so efficient. I've never had to go back for any corrections and I'm always happy after I see her. Whenever my facial clients are talking about getting Botox, fillers, body treatments, etc., I always send them to Elle! read more

I want to write an honest review because I believe in giving credit where it's due. I came to Dr. Laura's office for PDO threads, and while my experience wasn't perfectly smooth at first, I left today deeply grateful for how everything was ultimately handled. As a cosmetic dentist and private practice owner myself, I know how essential communication and trust are between a doctor and a patient. I also know that every procedure, especially aesthetic ones, involves a healing period and the possibility of complications. Throughout my healing process, I experienced a few unexpected issues that genuinely scared me. It's a very humbling experience being on the other side of the chair, feeling vulnerable instead of in control. What made all the difference was how Dr. Laura and his team responded once I voiced my concerns. Jesse, the office manager, was incredibly attentive and compassionate, ensuring I was seen promptly. Elle, the nurse, is exceptionally knowledgeable and caring, and Dr. Laura himself showed humility, empathy, and real skill in addressing my concerns and restoring my trust. We had an open, honest conversation about communication and expectations, and I truly felt heard. Dr. Laura treated me with integrity and professionalism, corrected the areas of concern, and went above and beyond to bring balance and beauty back to my face. Every medical or cosmetic procedure carries some risk, and every person's body reacts differently. What matters most is how a provider responds when something doesn't go as planned, and in that regard, this team showed genuine care, accountability, and grace. My results are turning out beautifully, and I'm so happy I found someone who could help me achieve my goal of subtly lifting and refreshing my face without surgery. I left feeling cared for, understood, and confident in my choice. I'd absolutely recommend Dr. Laura and his staff to anyone looking for a skilled, ethical, and compassionate aesthetic team. read more

I visited this office for a BBL HEROic treatment and invested over $4,000, but unfortunately felt the experience resulted in only a partial and ineffective treatment. The clinic did not clearly explain the different settings or numerical levels used with the device, or how each one targets concerns such as pigmentation, redness, or texture. My face, neck, chest, and shoulders were treated, yet I did not see any noticeable improvement. I experienced no visible changes in redness or skin texture, and I was told during the visit that I did not have significant brown spots or sun damage to address. Based on that, I assumed the treatment would focus more on settings designed to improve texture and redness, but that did not appear to be the case. Given the cost, it was disappointing to see no visible results. I remained in communication with the office during the first 30 days post-treatment and provided photos documenting the lack of change in my skin. The clinic itself is very nice and professional; however, I was disappointed that a follow-up or corrective treatment was not offered. Based on my experience, I would encourage others to do thorough research and ask detailed questions about treatment settings, expected outcomes, and follow-up policies before proceeding with laser treatments here. read more

Recently just had my cosmetic Botox with Elle and the experience was so great! Elle really explained everything to me in a such a smart way that was so easily digestible but never felt condescending. Botox is sitting so pretty and she has followed up with me on multiple occasions to make sure everything is A ok! Thank you so much read more

John Laura is one of the nicest guys out there, and knows his stuff. I would recomend him for anything. He's thorough, and has an incredible bedside manner. He was my Internist for years prior to doing what he does now, and he is an excellent D.O. With any cosmetic procedure, there are risks that it will not be as-effective as we imagine (or what AI can create). Manage your expectations. But, as a physical doctor, I could not have asked for better care from anyone. He is exceptional. read more

Wow! I feel like I found a true gem. I recently went to Dr. Laura's and had a deep resurfacing and skin tightening laser treatment performed by Elle. She is so knowledgeable and amazing at what she does. I can't believe the results I am already seeing. Alexa, the aesthetician is equally amazing. They are both very caring people who take their time helping and addressing your needs. They make a great team. I am very grateful I have found them to help me with my aging skin. Jan read more

I'll start off my saying how terrified I was to get my lips done, for over 8 years. I decided to give Nurse Christina a try, after seeing her amazing work and reading her reviews, and I'm so glad I did. Her level of patience, desire to perfect, attention to detail, light and delicate hands, left me with the exact result I've always dreamed about. Knowing I was beyond nervous, she took so much time to make me feel comfortable. Nothing was rushed! Her work was painless. When I read the Yelp reviews before I got it done, I doubted the word "painless".. because, when it comes to injections, seriously? How could it be painless? Hear me out, as the biggest chicken in the world when it comes to needles.. I swear, I'm here to now attest, it's true! PAINLESS. She had magic hands. Plus, the outcome is spectacular! So happy & thankful for finding her. She is a total GEM. Thank you so much! read more

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience today was very disappointing. First, nice offices and a very friendly front desk team. And Dr. John Laura himself was very informative and accommodating to what I needed and wanted. I went in with constant right shoulder pain for the last 12 months. I did a lot of research and talked to numerous people with the same pain. I was originally considering stem-cell therapy, but friends with the same pain highly recommended peptide shots into my shoulder, that it worked for them, and it was a significantly less expensive option. I am not going to mention names, but I went in and met with the nurse, I told her my issue, and she recommended a Peptide IV Drip that it would help with inflammation through my whole body - and it cost $500. I told her my whole body doesn't hurt just my shoulder, and I have been recommended by numerous people just to have the shots directly in the shoulder where the pain is. But she kept on pushing the IV Drip, to the point where it got a little confrontational, and then she said let me get Dr. Laura. He came in and agreed with me that most athletic people like to get the shots right in the area of pain, he answered some questions then he left the room. I asked the nurse how much for a bottle of peptide and she said $500. I then asked how many shots do I get with one bottle and she said 4. That seemed reasonable to me so she gave me a shot in shoulder, I paid the $500. And set an appointment for the following week. I showed up today to get my 2nd of 4 shots, I was in the medical room no more than a couple minutes, she gave me a shot. I went out to schedule my 3rd appt, and the admin said that is $500. I said no I already paid the $500 and I get 4 shots. The nurse was standing there and said no it is $500 a bottle and she injected a whole bottle into me (which I assume would be excessive if she really did). I said no, you told me it was $500 for a bottle, and I would get 4 shots. She denied it, saying again it was $500 for a bottle and she used a whole bottle on me. Not wanting to cause a confrontation, I paid it. They have lost a patient, future monies I would have spent there and any future referrals. read more

I have been going to nurse Christina for more than 10 years now and I am so, so happy every time I leave the office! She works her magic on me, and I am so very grateful that I have her to go to with whatever I need at the time. She helps me with decisions on what I can do to help me look and feel better about myself. Afterall, she is the expert!! :) If you are looking for someone to help you, I recommend going to see Christina! Christina you have a great heart and a kind soul, to which I am very grateful. I've been going to Dr. John Laura's office after my usual aesthetic nurse moved to this office. Tammy who does my injection is FANTASTIC I drive out my way to see her and everyone from the front desk to the entire office is so welcoming every time I go in for my appointment. I highly recommend going here as I see a lot of people going in and out. Although I never have seen Dr. John Laura I'm sure he's just as amazing as the staff here. I followed Chris to Dr. John Laura's practice after being his patient at a different medspa (which is a farther commute now but worth it). Chris understands the concept of "aging gracefully while not going down without a fight!" I am a 49 year old, full-time career woman and mother of 2 teenagers. With Chris' eye and understanding of balance and symmetry, he provides me with an updated face that is both firm and plump. Chris helps his patients realize that signs of stress, climate and gravity do not have to be foregone conclusions. He focuses on the highlights of the specific patient's face and determines the road map in collaboration with the patient which leads to happy results and referrals. Chris is a credit to the industry and a value to his patients who he delivers a better version of themselves. read more

Let me tell ya, this chick knows her stuff! Christine is truly one of a kind! She has keen insight and knowledge of the products and their proper placement. While she engages you she watches your expressions to know just where to inject for a simple yet refreshed look. She does not overfill or completely freeze you (unless requested of course). I love her ability to achieve natural results in just minutes. Always my go-to for laser, micro-needling, vitamin infusions, botox, fillers, lip enhancements, and more. The office is clean and luxurious, and the entire staff is AMAZING! Thank you ALL for your kindness and humor. I consistently feel special when visiting. YOU will, too!!! read more

Saw Dr. Laura several times over the last six months. Drove over an hour from LA to OC for skin. He is great in his skill, but didn't call back on some specific medical issues I had concern over--even after requesting several times--so I found another doctor. In addition, his office manager-- Kari Kelly --is the biggest reason I would never go there again, or recommend. I think she forgets bedside manner, patient concern, and priority are important--and Dr. Laura isn't the only doctor out there. She is rude, condescending, entitled tone, and has been (in my experience) consistently rude over the course of several months. You would think it was HER practice, but no...she's just poorly representing his. She treats patients like she is doing THEM a favor by allowing them into this office--it's incredible. People should also be informed that when you email or text, it is not private, and the entire office has access to those private medical records and photos over a shared office account floating around. Shop around if you care about being treated like a patient supporting a medical practice, and not a sub-par human being. read more

I have been a patient with Dr. Laura for almost twenty years now. He is the most sincere, committed, forward thinking, innovative, dedicated, sensitive, impeccable, and professional doctor I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Not only is the experience of going in to see him an absolute joy, from the bayside penthouse setting to the office staff who are equally as incredible, but I never fail to leave his office feeling encouraged, empowered, and taken care of. He NEVER gives up until he finds a solution or makes you happy with the results. He is honest, works within your budget, discusses all of your options giving pros and cons for each, and even will refer you elsewhere for anything he feels someone else could do with better technology or services. Honestly, I don't know if I've met a better person in this industry ever. I can't imagine ever choosing to go to anyone else. read more

I have gotten a few non surgical nose augmentations before, but Chris's skill set and his professionalism is by far the best I have ever been to. Yes, everyone in the office is beautiful and very nice and friendly...however, I recommend Tammy because she is a phenomenally skilled RN esthetician who does the more specialized jobs in the office. She is so smart (has a BSN and RN degrees), knows anatomy, stays current on new publications and techniques, authoritatively helps patient decide which procedure will obtain the best result. I chose a single gold needle RF micro needling of my face, focusing on my saggy under eyes and jowels. It was just done yesterday so it is a little too early to tell, but I am sure I will be more than satisfied. Her manual dexterity is excellent as she "reaches" hard to access areas, and since she has been working in the field for many years, she has literally "seen it all" so she never sees incapacitating surprises. Tammy is THE BEST! read more

HIGHLY recommend Christina Senteno (RN) for injectables. I was in town visiting and was referred to Christina by my sister. I'm very impressed with my Botox results and the office's EXCELLENT customer service. Christina is a true artist and SO incredibly kind. I love how conservative she is with her injectables and focuses on a natural appearance. I expressed to her how my eyes tend to droop after injectables. She understood exactly what I needed and how to achieve the results I wanted. I felt extremely comfortable with her and trusted her completely. I have been recommending her to friends and family. I will definitely be back for touch ups every time I'm in town. Thank you Christina for making me feel beautiful again. You and your staff are amazing!!! read more
