I went to Dr. Selmair due to a recommendation of friends. I was nervuous, like probably most of the people who go to a dentist. The welcoming and warm atmosphere is tangible when you enter the premises. The staff is kind and helpful and one feels immediately well taken care of. This impression increases when you meet Dr.Selmair. Not only does she speak fluently English and of course German but shows a real kindness, empathy and warmth. The work with her assistant is effortless and they are a well oiled team with mutual respect and kindness. I was nervous, I had history with this tooth and not a pleasant one. Dr. Selmair took care of it, in a strict and empathetic way, she knew, what to do with a anxious patient. I was without my tooth out before it all did register with me. Without any problems I cam back the next day to my actual appointment which was handled with efficiency, care and empathy. I too was impressed by the creativity of finding a great solution for another problem area in my mouth. I can only say that my outlook of my next appointment is with hardly any stress, well I am just human and it is a dentist visit, we are talking about. But I can only warmly recommend Dr. Selmair from the bottom of my heart. read more

I've had many varied dental experiences in my life, not to mention in different countries , and not all of them were pleasant, in fact, quite a alot were the opposite. And so finding Dr. Isabel Selmair and her wonderful team here in Munich has been nothing short of relief and a blessing. Its amazing how every time I walk into her practice, Im greeted with warmth and the entire team is always kind andwelcomingThe atmosphere as well feels calm and reassuring (something I couldnot have previously imagined saying about a dental clinic). Dr. Selmair is exceptional in what she does. She takes the time to really listen and always explains every step of the treatment with patience and clarity, (not only can she do this in german but in fluent (read native) english too!!) which instantly puts someone like me with only A2 level german skills at ease. Growing up, i've always had dental anxiety, esp with all my dental issues , however at her clinic, im just consistently reassured at every step. During my recent root canal, all thanks to her gentle and precise technique, my anxiety just flew out the window. I almost felt no discomfort throughout the procedure. What I value most is her empathy and the way she treats me (as i am sure she does with every patient) as an individual, not just another appointment.Dr Isabel and her assistant always check that Im comfortable and okay. Their calm and caring presence make all the difference. I trust her completely with my dental care, and Ive recommended her to anyone who ever asked for a good dentist in Munich. So if you're looking for a dentist who combines exceptional skill, genuine kindness, and a truly patient-centred approach, I cannot recommend Dr. Isabel Selmair and her team highly enough. read more

dr Selmair is great professional in her field. Want to pay attention that doctor is speaking English, also French, so it is so easy to communicate if you don't know German Good service, and I feel confident that my tooth are healthy read more

I was recently introduced to Dr Selmair as one of the few English speaking dentists in Munich. I have been here now a few times and I found her to be very helpful, thorough and good at what she does. It's a small clinic with a couple of dentists and they have most of the regular services you would need. They also speak English so if you are not comfortable speaking in German it's fine here. I wanted this option only because some of the words they use in this field were totally unfamiliar to me as she was the first dentist I went to since coming to Germany. She explains everything in detail and her staff are also quite good and thorough. Appointments are pre booked well in advance and they send you reminders a couple of days before. After having visited now four times I am getting used to the words and so we have resumed conversations in German but she does sometimes switch just to be sure. If you are looking for an English speaking dentist or just a dentist in the area I would happily recommend her services. read more

Let me introduce myself first - I am dentist who has the unique opportunity to stay for my traineeship at the doctor's Selmair dental practice for 5 months. I have chosen this dental practice as it is a perfect example of a unique dental practice - which means all the patients are treated with care, patience understanding and professional attitude! Furthermore, as a patient you will be thoroughly informed about the dental procedure (not only the procedure, but also you will be given all possibilities of treatment which you can choose from) and moreover the procedure will be explained to you into details (which I assume is crucial for each patient to be perfectly informed!). Not only Doctor Selmair's dental practice solves and treats your dental issues but also each member of her team does her best to keep your teeth healthy in terms of prevention (prevention is better than cure :-)). Most important is that they explain and spend their time teaching you how to keep your teeth and gums healthy - how to use a toothbrush, a dental floss/super floss, interdental toothbrush, special rinse solutions etc. To sum up - if you are looking for a dental practice in or around Munich Doctor Selmair' dental practice is strongly recommended! read more

I had a great experience with Dr. Selmair. In addition to being very professional, she speaks fantastic English and explained the procedure. I had chipped a front upper tooth so I was not only concerned about pain treatment, but also about the appearance of the solution. She took great care to match the color of my filling to my teeth and get the shape perfect, symmetrical, and natural looking. I could tell that she cares a lot about what she does and wants to get everything perfect. I can't even tell the difference! The staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable, even when I was speaking to them in broken German. When I called to schedule an appointment I could tell they were doing the best to find a time to squeeze me and I was lucky enough that they could see me within a week. I would highly recommend her service. read more

So it's no secret that dental care and expectations vary from country to country, but I have been struggling to find a good dentist here for years! I finally found one. Dr. Selmair was great. The entire experience was very positive and informative. Her staff was very friendly and even though I started off in German language, also made me feel very comfortable by speaking English too. Dr. Selmair spent over 30 minutes with me showing me with a camera the areas that I need to concentrate on and pay extra attention to. I would definitely recommend her to any of my friends living in Munich and am happy to have found a dentist that I feel confident and comfortable with. I will definitely not wait 2 years again for my next visit! :-) Tip: When I originally called for an appointment, the earliest appointment was 2 months out. I was a bit dissapointed with this waiting time, as I'm not very good at planning ahead and usually call when I want to get in ASAP. However, they put me on their cancellations list and a week later I got a phone call saying someone canceled and if I wanted the spot 2 hours later it was mine. That worked out great. So if you're flexible and not too far away from the office, this is a good option. read more

I first came across Dr. Selmair when looking through Google for an English-speaking dentist in Munich. Coming from the United States, I have this bad habit of deferring dental work either out of financial constraints, or simply not having the time to sit in a chair for several hours. Dr. Selmair took me in as a walk-in patient without an appointment, which for the record, I strongly recommend calling in advance for an appointment. The added bonus with Dr Selmair is that she speaks fluent English, along with almost all of her staff. This was a relief as I wasn't feeling trying to make my shitty German work when I was in pain. Needless to say, I went in due to a dull pain in one of my upper teeth. She manage to find the tooth that was causing this, and managed to find it cracked, which of the x-rays did not show. This was a welcome relief, and even though the end result was a root canal, I would never hesitate to go back. Her "bedside manner" if you will is so fantastic, that even my two and a half year old daughter was a fantastic patient for her. It seriously doesn't get any better than this. At the end of the day, I needed a root canal. Dr Selmair was amazing, and I couldn't ask for a better dentist for me or my family. Not only for taking the time to write this review, but I have been personally recommending her to all of my English-speaking expat friends in the area. Internet reviews might be good, but word-of-mouth is even better, and that is my goal with Dr. Selmair. read more

I found Dr. Selmair's dental practice whilst looking for an English speaking dentist in Munich - I am a recent expat in Germany, and it was important to be able to express myself in English. Making an appointment was incredibly easy and right from my very first visit, I was treated in a professional and friendly manner. I originally went after experiencing severe tooth ache/pain from eating, and after an xray and initial check up, quite a few underlying dental problems were revealed. Unfortunately, I had to have a root canal treatment, but Dr. Selmair completed the work to an incredibly high standard and always took the time to explain what was happening. Her practice accepts both private and public insurance, so I was happy to know that I was covered for almost everything under my AoK krankenkasse. Overall. I couldn't recommend Dr. Selmair and her practice enough! read more

I've sent many friends to Dr. Selmair and highly recommend her. read more
