I had blood in my stool, and lots of pain. A first colonoscopy showed mild inflammation at the scope site. Long story short they diagnosed me ulcerative colitis. I started treatment and never got better, so got second opinions, both of which said there was no sign of UC. Frustrated I went back to Dr Albert. Now they changed their minds and said well if UIC said no, then we will change our opinion and also say you dont have UC. Flash forward to 3 more colonoscopies that showed no signs of IBD. I was diagnosed finally by another Dr as having endometriosis and dealt with that. Still having pain and GI issues I went back to Dr Albert. His intern seemed to give up and just keep trying to get me to do a colonoscopy AGAIN. I got ahold of Dr Albert himself who was nice, but then tried to offer that maybe since I smoked marijuana I had the new controversial cyclical vomiting disease? I just couldnt take it anymore. I found a new gastro who seemed interested in helping me find the root of the issues without just saying the same things over and over and trying to get me to do another colonoscopy. I would add at my last colonscopy I was so upset after being left for hours while Dr did an emergency, when he came back he told me bascially this was all in my head and all anxiety because his scope once again didnt see anything. If you are having more complex issues. SKIP THIS OFFICE. Huge waste of time and as someone who has been gaslit by Drs her whole life only to find she had POTS, stage 4 endo, ehlers danlos and an autoimmune, I certainly DID NOT appreciate the gaslighting again, just bc they didnt bother to figure out what was actually going on.

He's been excellent for both injury management and maintaining my overall spine health during marathon training. I highly recommend Dr. Vazquez if you are seeking treatment for disorders of leg veins. I just…read morefinished my treatment and my legs look fantastic and are now free of ugly bulging veins. Here are the reasons why I choose Dr. Vazquez over the other physicians that do this type of procedure: 1. He is a very bright Northwestern surgeon who uses the latest technology ( VNUS) to close off the varicose vein. VNUS is far superior over using the laser because it is pain free. 2. He will not remove the wrong vein or hit one of your leg nerves because of his wealth of experience. He is very skilled at using Ultrasound and checks his work. 3. If your veins are popping out near the surface, he uses micro-incision phlebotomy and does not put any stitches because it leaves scars. Many other physicians will stitch up these incisions which will enhance scars on your legs. If you choose, Dr. Vazquez to treat your varicose veins, you won't be disappointed and your legs will look fabulous. You want a well trained surgeon to do this work!
