Unsure of where I wanted to go or where to begin my search, I reached out to a few friends one of whom recommended Total Care Dental located in Bridgeton, MO. This worked for me as I am familiar with the area. If you know where the Olive Garden is located, you're on the right path! I immediately checked with my insurance company to make sure that they where in-network. Yes! Maybe this is was a sign! LOL! I immediately reached out to Total Care and asked if they were accepting new patients. Yes! Yes! I was geeked about going to the dentist! Not really but I was happy to find a new one! The person that I talked to was pleasant and explained what days/times were available. I scheduled a date/time that worked with my schedule. I was impressed when I received a call beforehand asking if I wanted to come in a few days earlier as another patient cancelled, leaving an opening available. Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted an given forms for new patients to complete. Next, it was time for THE CHAIR.... My hygienist (I can't remember her name) was a true gem! Very personable with a great personality. She could tell I was nervous and she convinced me that I was in good hands! The doctor was amazing as well! He explained in detail what his concerns were while taking the time to address mine. After a few seconds of holding my breath, I was done and given a clean bill of health! Overall, this was great experience! There are so many wonderful aspects that I experienced in the two hours that I was there compared to my old dentist in which I was patient for over 4 years! I now have insurance as well so I researched dentists on the insurance website. I located a dentist in my plan and called the office, only to learn that this dentist had retired and Dr. Burgdorf was now practicing in this location. I scheduled my new patient appointment and was able to get in within 3 weeks. I read the reviews the morning of my appointment and found them to be quite favorable so I was feeling very comfortable with my choice. After arriving and being greeted very warmly by Amy, Linda, the hygienist, walked me through the initial portion of the exam with a very thorough explanation. When Dr. Burgdorf arrived in the exam room he greeted me in a very warm manner as well and explained every step of the way in a positive and supportive way. He was very gentle and made me feel very comfortable. I had told him that it has been a long time since I was seen by a dentist and it was largely due to embarrassment of the condition of my teeth. He assured me that this was a judgment-free office and his job was to help me achieve my dental goals. I have a lot of work ahead of me but I feel very confident that it is going to result in amazing dental work in place and a lifelong dentist. I even brought home information to my daughter to encourage her to schedule an appointment for her needs. My crown has a lift in the back, my partial hurts and was cutting my gums in the back so I haven't been able to wear it but the real kicker is I took out a loan to have this work done and was approved for $5000. They only charged a little over $2,000 and then sent me a separate bill for over $1,000! Why would you not charge it all to the loan and then expect me to pay that!? Now it's in collections because I can't make sense out of paying you $52.91 a month and paying $52.91 per month to this loan! I'm so outdone that I can't even begin to consider going back for the repairs... Just horrible!!!

I called my insurance l needed to upgrade it I did that I called Jennifer back and told her that it wouldn't go into effect till 5/1/25. She said she would get it verified on 5/1 and we can se tup an appointment.
